Great videos. Thought i saw you coming on to hwy 19 from Coal Harbour in my rear view mirror. Looking forward to viewing your trip north. Building out my van and preparing m hwy trip next year. Good luck😊
Hey guys, splendid video, as usual. Glad you got delayed so you could see more of your own backyard! We too have a van, live outside Durango, Colorado, and from time-to-time have conversations about how we really do not have to drive that far! Often, we are down in Baja, the PNW, California, etc. And then, we return home, and as much as we love all the places we explore, and are reminded upon returning, that we have a great back yard and a lot of distance does not make it "better".
The Alcan is awesome. I've done it a couple of times, once on a motorcycle & once on a motorcycle/sidecar with my then 16yo daughter as navigator. She's 30 now and said the other day that she would do it again if the opportunity came. You two are doing great! Closing in on 12k subs! As always I'm looking forward to your next installment. Safe travels.
I’ve done the Alcan once starting from mile 0 and I think we’ll be going down it on our way back south at the end of the summer. Very much looking forward to seeing it again. We’re slowly climbing and so grateful for it. Thanks, as always, for watching and chiming in!😊🙌🏻
Our lesson of 2024 has been... sometimes you just have to roll with the curveballs life throws at you. When you see them as part of the adventure, they dont seem nearly so terrible. Your setback got you a trip with your friends and a beautiful journey through some beautiful places in your own backyard. That's a win in my book! Happy trails lovely people! Looking forward yo your next adventure!
Honestly, mobile living is just one story of rolling with the punches after the next. It’s best for sanity to keep a sunny disposition to it all. Thanks for watching!😊🙌🏻
Hey! Your home base is very near mine - also hit Cortez last year for first time, so chill there. Your likely already on your way so Bon voyage. Ps love quadra as well!
Absolutely best case scenario figuring out that issue now. I didn't have reliable internet the entire trip through Canada and Alaska last summer. So frustrating because I basically had no way of getting parts until I came back to the lower 48. Also, such a beautiful place to be "stuck" 😍 I really liked the pacing and flow of this video, It definitely shows that you are working to continuously improve as a creator. Keep it up!
Yeah, we just didn’t want to be plagued by issues any more. Glad you enjoyed it, my friend, you should come to Canada for some more exploring.😉 Thanks for the kind words. Looking forward to spending time with you again.
You certainly live in a beautiful place and it looks like a great place to explore (in the summer, with plenty of mosquito repellent)! Mrs. Tiki Envy and have a plan to explore our own “island” of Alta California this summer. My brother is flying down to Paraguay in less than a week to start his bicycle trip through South America. His goal is to reach Ushuaia. I wonder if your paths will cross? Happy travels and I’m looking forward to more of your eloquent videos!
Yes, ohhhh yes, Meg will likely have to buy out all the stores of big repellent. She’s already quite pock marked by bites. Alta sounds like fun, I’ll have research where exactly it is on the Cali coast. What’s your brothers timeline, we’ll be down there in a little over a year and a half from now.
@@SlowRoamers Alta California is what Mexico used to call the state of California, as opposed to Baja California, which you know so well. We’re taking a slow tour of all 21 of the California missions. My brother hopes to be down to the tip of So. America in December or January, so you’ll most likely not meet. Ah well… Tell Meg I feel for her. We took a camping trip to the mountains a couple of years ago and were eaten alive! At least there are no mosquitos in Alaska for her to worry about! 😂
So true. There’s so much beauty to BC that has yet to be explored. Bummer that your northern trip has been delayed but bonus for the rest of us that got to experience this area off of Vanc Island through your video:)
It might be cold ,but it’s so nice to have so much fresh clean water again. Best yo get everything g right before you go up to the remote north. Great vid 🍻
Hahaha, said by someone that definitely didn’t see a lot of water all winter.🤣 We’re dialed in now, so it’s time to hit the gas. Hope you guys are doing well in AB!
Great video guys showing how great adventures can often be found in our own backyard. Good luck and hope your Pan-Am trip gets off to a better start this time!
@@SlowRoamers we will be sleeping at "altitude" to avoid the heat. Lots of GREAT places there to tuck in and enjoy. I need to find one of the "paddle faster, I hear banjo music" (i do LOVE banjo). ...even Mountain Stage is a gift to the 🌎 world .. .attended that a few times.
Yet again, I experience vicarious excitement, just hearing your deep anticipation of adventures and interactions with people, nature, and the road! Bon voyage!
oh man another great vid ! So funny to have met in Baja and now im up in BC also ... i visited my friend and was thinking of you guys , cause i drove thru the okanagan valley , pretty sure thru summerland ; i think u said you were from there. I ended up staying outside of peachland and am now in Alberta getting stuff done on the truck , before heading to , I think Alaska also. It would be so fun to bump into you guys again ! ~peace~
I'm really loving your adventure so far. This is going to be an epic trip! Great job on the narration of this post, Alex. I found it had a poetic flow, and it was nicely reflected in this unexpected side trip.
Thanks Lance, I’m really glad you liked it. We’re both so stoked to take you along for the ride, there’s some beautiful country ahead of us. Thanks for watching!🙌🏻
Your life, my aspiration!🔥 Thank you for sharing, looking forward to more leisurely moments from you~
😊😊😊, there’s plenty more to come! Thanks for watching!🙌🏻
The failure to launch is a feeling I know all too well 😅 glad to see you’re making the most of it though!
Yeah, I’ve seen some of that story already. You’re QUITE familiar!
IT Guy here.. welcome to my world! ha!
Hopefully the parts arrive and you get that successful launch!
Oh yeah, they did! We’re up and running once again. Thanks for watching!🙌🏻
Epic scenery! Great immersive video. We explored some of the island back in 2018. Can't wait to return. Cheers
It’s certainly a beautiful part of the world! 😊 Thanks for watching!
All the best on the journey up north! Can't wait to see the adventures and head up there myself after my build! ✌
Thanks for watching!!🙌🏻😁

Hey guys! It's tyler from the northern expedition
Hey Tyler!👋🏼
Always the small things that set you back, we’ve had our fair share of those. But stoked to hear you guys are going to be hitting the road soon!
Never discount them, they can be a royal pain in the butt!🤣

Thanks Dafyd! We’ll keep that in mind as NM is a state we haven’t been though yet and we’ll try to pass through on our way to Mexico!

A nice tranquil campsite in the wilderness, then, an ocean liner goes by.
lol, yeah, it’s a major thoroughfare apparently.

You live in a very beautiful place and your dialog is very smooth, glad to hear your still headed north, what brand is your new proper SL mount?
Oh, we’re still coming, don’t worry about that!😁 the SL case is from a guy that makes them in his garage in Vancouver.
What song at the 14-minute mark? Great content as usual!
It’s all music from Epidemic sound. Unfortunately song names are buried way in my project archives already.

Hi guys. Looking forward to your next adventure. Cortez clams in Manson bay are yummy too. Cheers and safe travels.
Hey Sylvain, thanks for tuning in! We haven’t dug for clams yet, luckily Masha took care of that for us, but we will one day!
Great drone shots. Also the juxtaposition of your seemingly remote campsite and then BAM! cruiseship!
Hahaha, there were three and a lot of other boats. It’s part of the inside passage I think.
That place looks amazing and relaxing guys 😊
It most certainly is. We proud and grateful to call it home base.
