My father in law has his childhood home walking distance from the cafe/bar. We spend time there in the summer. Will be back next summer and also Terceira(“my” island). Love these islands so much.

Die weit über 40 Grad woanders in Europa sind echt heftig. Ich drücke dir die Daumen, dass du einen Verlag findest (vielleicht ja auch nen Indie-Verlag).
Ja, ich sage hier auch bei jedem Regenschauer "immerhin besser als Südeuropa" - von den über 50°C auf der arabischen Halbinsel brauchen wir gar nicht erst anfangen ☠
There is no ferry to the mainland unfortunately, the distance is simply too great. The ferry you see here travels between Faial, Pico and São Jorge daily. My partner just landed on the neighboring island and had to take the boat to come home. :)
