OTIS HARRIS THEY CHANGED HIS FIRST NAME WHEN HE JOINED THE TEMPTATIONS. BALTIMORE'S FINEST LOVE YOU FOREVERMORE KISSES GLORIA FROM BALTIMORE STILL LISTENING 5/19/20 💘
@zorro1955 Hey Ronald, man, this is a surprise. I didn't think I'd actually hear back from you. You could say I'm the Young Vandals biggest fan, I tried to imitate the voice of Otis Harris when I was younger, and could sound just like him. I knew when I first heard the group that the lead singer sounded just like Eddie Kendricks. So when I heard years later that he was selected to replace Eddie in the Temptations, it came as no surprise to me. But you know what? I could tell the difference between the two voices, the voice of Otis sounded a bit more youthful, it's kind of difficult to explain or put into words but Otis sounded like a younger version of Eddie to me. Are you aware of another tenor by the name of Rick Langston?
@zorro1955 You know it's funny, because I always thought that the baritone singer was a perfect match for David Ruffin. I used to wonder how in the world could this group sound so much like the Temptations. The only thing I had discovered about the Young Vandals was that they were from Baltimore. I didn't know anything much else about them.
Never on an LP....They recorded Three 45's on T-Neck in the late 60's early 70's before Damon joined The Temptations in '71.this was his High School group that later became "Impact" after leaving The Temptations
