Hello, is there a master list that explains Thayer’s abbreviations? I find several that stymie me and a list of explanations would be helpful. For eg.: John 17:20 “word” (“message” in NIV) heading I, number 3, subheading e “instruction: with a gen. of the teacher”. What does Thayer mean by the abbreviation “gen”? I feel as though I’m not getting a full understanding of the definition without understanding his intent. Thank you for reading my message.
