Hah, fun idea, but unfortunately not really a contest. Renowned Explorers is waaaaaay better just for the smart combat system, let alone the much higher volume of content
Yeah but you could get r.e mixed up with any other turnbased game. C.e isn't really breaking grounds with dice combat but it has an effect of 17th century by using old dice, which I argue is much more 17th century than blue hexagons. Also the style is more original with aesthetics and music and the way everything works compared to what looks like a generic unity drawn on photoshop game and don't forget the c.e Devs are still updating c.e with content as it's somewhat recently hit 1.0 and probably will be doing for another couple years. I say that c.e has r.e beat!
Don't forget Renowned Explorers is a clone of The Curious Expedition. The guys kept it classy and never mention it in the video but they are not weirdly similar games, one is a clone of the other
@loookas Aaaaaand this gets repeated without any evidence or even plausibility for it being true. CE's first closed alpha was released in late November 2014, RE was presented at Gamescom in early August 2015 and the finished game released in early September 2015. If you can explain to me how a game with a vastly different and way more complex combat system, resource management, story, basically everything different besides the main theme of being explorers that go on expeditions is a clone of a game that was released in early alpha only a few months earlier then you might have a point.
I dig this campaign so much! What a great idea to increase publicity and sales for BOTH these amazing games. Wonderful. (:
Noooo, I already own both games. So good.
Same.
Wow, a comment from me from over a year ago. Did I really have to say "same"? Did that really add anything to the conversation? What was I thinking?
I got the bundles last week, so far, I enjoy both games
curiousexpedition>renowedexplorers
Agreed.
To add on my statement from over two years ago: they're both pretty swell games.

In my opinion I like the gameplay and combat of Curious Expedition more. But I do enjoy both games!
