  • The Royal Hymn Of Australia, God Save The Queen. Sung and Played by the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra.
Often played during ANZAC, Remembrance and Royal occasions. This intrinsic and traditional element of the Australian experience was once Australia's National Anthem from 1788 to 1984 for almost 200 years.
This is the very same anthem that our ANZACs, and the majority of our war veterans sung to with such patriotic fervor and passion.
At the proclamation of our current national anthem in 1984, the Governor-General Sir Ninian Stephen declared that the former anthem was to be named the Royal Anthem of Australia and to be played on appropriate occasions such as ANZAC dawn services, Remembrance Day ceremonies and Royal Occasions and Celebrations.
The Royal Anthem has been sung as part of the ANZAC Dawn Service program since its inception. And the Royal Anthem today, symbolises our traditions, our culture, and the Australian experience.
God Save Our Queen, Advance Australia!
