I bought 700 cause It looks good and 900 would allow me to see excess of 100 mph without trying which could lead to more speeding tickets. At 50 years old my desire to go really fast is dwindling. I just want to ride
I just purchased an XSR 2024 and I can't wait to take it home. All the research I have done tells me everyone loves their 700 Yamaha either model. Very exciting.
I have an MT07, coming from a Yamaha bolt. I am loving the MT, it is so light and easy to flick around compared to the bolt. I did enjoy the bolt as well, I think overall it is better for a beginner and helps make the MT an easier ride. The bolt is heavy but very forgiving, once you learn to manage it's weight, getting on an MT feels like jumping on a bicycle.
Nice video, the MT07 engine is a peach...pretty bulletproof and adaptable for different bikes. Oin my T7 it's a joy, from greenlaning to scratching around twisty country lanes..love it! Cheers Steve
I think it's great that both exist, even though they cross over a lot. Its a lot like my Suzuki M50, identical engine and drivetrain to the C50, but feels so different to ride, and I prefer the slightly more aggressive styling on the M over the chrome and windscreens of the C.
Hi there loving the channel always great content. So I also wanted to try these two bikes out last November but in the 900 versions, so my local bike shop borrowed me the MT09 then the MT09SP then the new XSR 900 like you rode last year. I rode all three back to back and while I loved the xsr being just slightly taller at 6,4" the xsr gave me a bit of a stiff back wich was unfortunate as really like that blue colour. So in the end I ordered a MT09SP as the seating position was a little more upright. Have to say its insane ride and love it. That white xsr does look awesome though.
My wife and me bought an mt07 each last year to celebrate 20 years of marriage. We've put 30 000kms on them since and we both couldn't be happier with them. We live in Australia so its not hard to rack the kms up and we've enjoyed every second on our bikes. So much bang for your buck with the MTz.
I own MT07 2022 Pure, it looks exactly like this one in the video. I also had little problems with the sloping seat, but for me it is not comfortable exactly on the opposite - higher side. For me is more comfortable to sit closer to the tank, when I sit higher, then it's little bit silly. However, I upgraded the seat to the comfortable seat and now I don't care, I don't even need to change possition on the seat, even after and during really long rides I don't feel any discomfort, you don't even know you are sitting 😀.. I'm also very satisfied with original Yamaha Accessories like the Gilles brake/clutch levers, small black windscreen, side/rear tank pads and Gilles titanium locking axle nut (don't ask me why😅)
I agree the right side is ugly with rubber pipes going to radiator a bit too messy , but I m sure it’s a great engine.Well presented, with an upbeat mood 😎🏍🇸🇪👍
Hello! @ 12.50 You mentioned that you were distracted by a beautiful bridge. It sure is beautiful! Where is that bridge? I am looking for locations to see on my next trip to UK, in september. Thanks, and keep up the nice video's! Cheers, Ed
Good video. These bikes have a great engine. I prefer the XSR's looks. In fact, I can't think of a bike that looks better. I don't think it looks cluttered from the side, at all. I particularly like the new headlight and revised position of the dash. And the dash looks good. Who needs a TFT? As if to illustrate that point, the dash on the MT looks naff. Excellent review. Nick J
My favorite bike of all time was the 1982 650 Seca by Yamaha with the same tank color scheme as yours however I traded even for a 1975 Harley sportster and they were polar opposite’s. My XJ Seca had a top speed of 114mph and it was such a great handling bike compared to the XL. Great video and I agree with you however as the XSR seems the better choice for an everyday bike that is slightly more grown up compared to the MT.
My ducati scrambler got written off recently. Someone crashed into me whilst i was stationary😢. Currently loooking for a replacement. How does the xsr compare to the scrambler? I sat one the other day & it felt amazing (Didnt get a chance ride it) Would you choose the XSR over the ducati?
Evening Tomboy_a_bit. If its honesty you are looking for then neither of these Yamaha's really rock my boat at first appearance, sorry. I agree they seem a little cluttered around the engine and frame. That said I still miss the chrome and all that goes with it! Thanks for sharing and happy safe cruising till next time 👍😊.
Damn! You pre-empted any wife-tracking jokes and nipped them in the bud! Ok, on with the review. PS. I often look at older reviews, cos I can only afford used bikes, so thanks for leaving them up. 👍👍

I am really happy that you are getting invites to do these media group rides, it shows that you and your channel is growing.
I wouldn't say she's growing. Still as slim as ever.
XSR looks so good, I love classic style on bikes
I have an XSR and i absolutely love it i went to the XSR for its style and ride position but the MT its equally awesome

I have the 2018 XSR700, it is a great bike for me, makes me smile every time I ride. It's light and nimble. Good for middle aged man
Love my 2018 XSR900 wouldn't trade it for anything, absolute torque monster.
MT-09 torque
XSR looks so nice wiht spoke wheels

Not tempted for 900? 😉
I think 900 is less versatile and more for the road, when 700 is more like a scrambler. So much fun.
@@tomboyabit the 900 is an amazing bike, but I like how raw the 700 is. Good simple fun 😁 And like you say, much more like a scrambler!

Liked the quick review thing, I would go for the XSR
I've been thinking about getting a XSR700 for awhile now
You’ll have lots of fun on it

The appearance can be sorted. Plus it looks way better with a black tank. Less noticeable.

The XSR looks better. The side on both looks too busy even for me. At this point I just hope they do an XSR 300 with the same bodywork of the XSR 125.
You 2 should do a review channel doing 2 bikes at the same time with different perspectives..Great video..

That's a sweet looking bike.
Which one?
@@tomboyabit That first one. Beautiful.

Son la misma moto con distinto traje. Yo prefiero la XSR 700, una moto con mucho más estilo. Ese faro redondo le da mucha personalidad 😎✌️
Hi. Did the MT07 felt faster? I kinda prefer the xsr700 too 😁
Yes MT07 felt faster and more agressive even tho I rode XSR faster and more agressive.
Thank you for your thoughts and comments, there both lovely bikes, see in the next one 🤜🤛 grate video
Thank you 😊🙏🏻
For you which better choice the Yamaha XSR, the Ducati Scrambler, the Triumph Scrambler or the Moto Guzzi V7
I haven’t rode a Guzzi so can’t choose it. But from above listed I’d go with Ducati Scrambler.
love the vid ♥
I'm realy happy with my mt07 2022. Ultimate hooligan bike ✌️

What is your favorite? XSR or MT==?
That day I enjoyed XSR more.
nice video, especially the engine sound is clear, thanks...
Thank you for the appreciation comment 🙏🏻
xsr700 2020 owner. first and probably my last bike.
It won't be the last lol.
Xsr700 all day 😎 also prefer the cable throttle on the 700's much better rather than ride by wire on the 900's 😊
Супер! Посмотрел с удовольствием.👍👍
Спасибо 🙏🏻

i have to say this, i am watching everything at arround on your cam' lens, everything slopes right and left like with fisheyes! Why?
Wide lens. Got a new GoPro and testing how wide I want to film. Probably will narrow it up.
@@tomboyabit then my eyes are normal :D
so the xsr have the same hp, torque, sound as the mt07?
Same torque 68 Nm , same HP 74. I think XSR had more character in the sound. Due to the different exhaust.
Again, I new you would pick the XSR. Hmm. If they would only make an XSR10.
At 1.70 would it be too high?
So if Grace landed a job at this years TT…I wonder if we may see Deimante at the TT in the future? …

"Maybe my legs are to"...(slides backwards and forwards) - i think i msy have worn out that part of the internet
The street naked against a sport heritage is a bit like chocolate again spaghetti
I wouldn’t trade either over an RD350LC , mind you I might be showing my age 😊
both these bikes have the same engine so should feel as having the same power :)
It just goes to show that you need to actually ride a bike to see if you like it.
The truth is that if you get addicted to a Japanese bike you will forget everything about Harley's.
I could already see why it’s true. I procrastinate to ride my bike. 😳
Ok......nice opinion
I've ridden the MT-10.... be prepared to have the fastest time of your life .
