Great video Dave, it's cool to see the test of the e-bike, the Coils is a good thing, but it always takes some time to find the right hardness for the weight. Riding uphill on the e-bike is so easy and that's what I like about the bike. You seem to have found the right settings for you. Great trails and great riding mate. Trails are amazing there Dave. Curious to get your thoughts on the ebike . Not so much that actual bike but your experience of a pedal assist bike. Obviously the climbs are way better and as you say you have to get used to that and I also found the heavier bike so much more confident to ride especially of berms and rock sections at speed. Wondering if you felt the same or if you could add to it. I’m a huge Cube fan and love the colour . Really nice , easy to watch video 🤘
@@mickfromrocky hey Mick, same but I’ll add jumping. The low Centre of gravity keeps the bike true through the air but I am able to still do a small whip 😍. I’ve told myself I’ll alternate between the acoustic and pedal assist for videos.
@@ReubTubeMTB Yes indeed they are fun. No I didn’t hit funnel Webb as it wasn’t open when I filmed. Probably wouldn’t hit it as I need to get used to the bike
Changing the spring rate won't change the travel. Bit dangerous in a big hit. The back could skid. Norco Range vlt had the same problem. They overcome this with an adjustable dropper. It's only a concern for short riders with a small frame. As I'm 168cm I have the dropper length set to 100mm this allows the post to be about about 40cm obove the seat clamp and clear the seat at full travel. Problem solved😊
@@echidna1263 funny you say that, I have lifted the seat post up and the seat a little forward to middle and feels much better and no seat buzzing 👌🏼. In terms of sag I got a 375lbs coil which gives me 28% sag which is just under what I want
@@DMMTB Excellent! Just to make sure, remove the coil from the shock. Re-install the shock and compress to full travel. Not safe bottoming out on the seat. Big bottom out of huge jump could cause you to crash. Ride safe.

@DMMTB I got the newer version with 180 170 coming from my older focus jam2 with upgraded fox 150 ,it's in another league ,focus are a great bike.
I've seen that bike at ultimate cycles is it a small.
