- Ever Heard of the Telibandha - Abhanpur - Dhamtari/Rajim Narrow Gauge section??
Operational Since 1900, The Telibandha(Raipur) - Dhamtari/Rajim section is the Oldest and a rarely captured Narrow Gauge section of Central India. It used to have NG Steam Locos until 1980s after which they were replaced by the Diesel Versions of the Narrow Gauge Locomotives.
Enjoy this small clip of the Telibandha - Abhanpur Part of the section. Abhanpur is a vey little known Narrow Gauge Junction from the line to Dhamtari and Rajim part away.

A narrow-gauge branch line was constructed from Raipur Jn To Dhamtari, and from Abhanpur another branch line goes to Rajim. It was opened in Year 1900. The Gondia-Nagbhir-Nagpur line was opened for traffic in 1908. The Nagbhir-Rajoli line was opened in 1913 and extended up to Chanda. The Bhilai-Dalli Rajhara line mainly for iron ore transportation was opened in 1958. Bhilai Steel Plant was opened in 1959.

MANA station, it is Raipur's airport isn't it? Are they converting this line to BG? In such trains I would look for the year in which the coach and the engine was manufactured. Nice video.

Express highway? you mean road in the place of railway track? Don't they have plans of converting it to BG?

The problem with our country is that they do not preserve any thing Antique unlike Australa. They"ll completly dismantle them and make things still worse.

Its called as Metre Guage. NG is still smaller. It Seems the Rlys have run of money, as to employ a Gateman at at the Level Crossing? Never seen any thing like this!

हमारे महाराष्ट्र के अमरावती जिले मे एक नैरोगेज रेल अचलपूर से मुर्तिजापूर के बीच चलती थी. वैसे तो उसकी शुरूआत 1913 मे अंग्रेजो के जमाने से हुई थी परंतु अब उसे पैसो की कमी की वजह से सरकार ने बंद कर दिया है. बात दरअसल यह थी कि जो लोग उसमे सफर करते थे, वे टिकट ही नही निकालते थे और मुफ्त मे सफर करते थे. परिणामतः उसकी आय कम हो गयी, मतलब न के बराबर हो गयी और इसीलिए उसे बंद करना पडा. अभी वह पुर्ण रूप से बंद है और भविष्य मे उसके शुरू होने के कोई आसार नही है. आपके इलाके की इस गाडी की स्थिति कैसी है ?

How about this its an 27 km long section if converted as an experimental basis to an Guided Busway which can have max speed of 80 to 100kmph while retaining some of the infrastucture is it possible . en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guided_bus

Oh express highway will bring lot of good changes but Rail and Bus enthusaist like me and others will lose a lot.Development is more important than anything other

Yes, I agree. I loved the video though. Not complaining. Slow ass trains are much better than the fast ones. You get to view the countryside better.
