I'm voting for more tour recaps. As a musician, it's awesome to hear what others have experienced, especially since I have never been to Europe.
I was in Neunkirchen. Listen to Diesel Boy since the 90s and saw them the last time over twenty years ago
Wow just found your channel. 41 year old punk rocker here. Big Diesel Boy fan too. Keep up the good work!
Loved the show in Stuttgart!
It was really cool to see you in person, thank you for the shout out! :)
oh and awesome video as always
35:48 Hey!! That's me! Really enjoyed your set at Tells Bells. Sorry we never got the chance to hang. Maybe next summer!
Those electrical issues... It's the "really important tour curse". There's always SOMETHING that follows you around.
This is awesome man. Congrats on the guitar spot. I’ve been a huge diesel boy fan since the 90s and have been loving the return! See ya boys soon 🤘
That’s pretty sick. The new album is so damn good. Viking funeral and corpse paint blues are my favorites, and two stones almost made me cry
Great stuff bro. Diesel Boy is easily top 5 bands in the world for me so stoked. See you in LA.
I've loved Diesel Boy since first hearing 'Titty Twister' back in 1997
This is awesome, man! Been a big Diesel Boy fan since the 90's. Its so rad you get to play with them!
I actually saw ya'll play the show in Seattle. First time seeing Diesel Boy and it was killer!! I told my wife, I think that's the "Punk Historian" dude and holy shit it was you!
Man playing with Good Riddance sounds pretty cool, plus that show with Satanic Surfer and Snuff! I wouldve loved to see that!
Anyways. Thanks for the great videos. Keep up the fun!
Holy shit, i didn’t realize that was you playing with Diesel boy, just watched the Germany show last week, was great man, awesome fretwork.
Munich is a stand out town. Got to do the whole Europe by rail thing in my younger days and Munich still stands out as my favorite stop.
Thanks so much for bringing us on the other side with you, and being humble by sharing your stress, the day to day and all... I always enjoyed your videos but this one is very special.
Tolmin is amazing. Went there for metaldays. Which uses the same ground. I tell people I've been to Italy too in the same way 😂 glad you enjoyed Belgium.
I got my ticket for the show in Costa Mesa California coming up 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I like the panda pillow
Amazing. Somehow you being the new guitar player for Diesel Boy doesn't surprise me at all, congrats! Good guys all around. Sadly I lost track of what day the Portland show was and missed you guys. (This is Andy Stern replying)
She's from the south bay she likes to quote Hemingway
Ed "The duck"! (goober patrol's old roadie)
He roadied for my band on one tour back in the day
wow, I didn't know they were still going. great band.
Great to see a vlog-type vid on the channel, man! All those power issues are a great learning experience, but glad y'all killed it, regardless. Glad you got a spot with Diesel Boy, bet that it was a real trip in every way. And getting to play with absolute legends like Good Riddance and Cigar... thats some real memories being made there. All the best to ya, looking forward to your future videos/endeavors! How was it meeting Steve Caballero?
It was rad! Cab is a super nice guy. I had to bite my tongue not to be like “holy shit you’re a legend” at first though 😂
Great playing, dude! Been loving Diesel Boy since the 90s - 1st time live though. Awesome!!! Come back soon. I'm the first row descendents guy from Stuttgart btw. Thanks alot for your recap vid and for doing the job on the guitar! Great fun to watch! Take care - Holger
So awesome, bro. I’ve been watching your videos for a while now and it’s really cool to get to watch you team up with such a legendary band. Thanks for documenting the experience and sharing it with us. Wish I could have caught one of the shows. Hopefully you guys will play somewhere near Indiana soon, so I can try to make it out. Cheers, bud, and keep the vids flowing!
Congrats mate. Not a bad way to spend the Summer. I'll see you when Diesel Boy tours Australia 😉
Hey, I caught you in Tolmin at the Punk Rock Holiday. Great set. I was like: is that the Punk Historian on guitar? :)))
Great running into you as well at Brakrock.
Was great to meet you Jack!
This was awesome. Great vid 🤘
This was cool. thanks
This is why so many bands opt to rent gear in Europe. Also why many people are pivoting to something like the HX Stomp with a Seymour Duncan powerstage. Lighter and easy to travel with. Usually it's easy to borrow/rent a cab, but even without you can go direct and still play.
This is great stuff. Need more.
cortex records is really an awesome place!
Awesome
Welcome back
increible bro
Slackers are a great live band. 👍
Pulley and satanic surfers are badass, jealous you got to see them
NOICE! The original Punk Rock 101 songwriters. Not...Bowling for Soup or whoever.
Can you do a video on one of the most underground styles there is: Christian punk? Blaster the Rocket Man, 90 lb Wuss, Crux, Craig’s Brother, The Crucified, and the festival that hosted the scene for decades, Cornerstone?
last time i saw diesel boy was 97 or 98 my freshman year, dude lagwagon toured that year, NOFX did, Catch 22, Blink on tour supporting Dude Ranch, Suicide Machines, Strung Out toured TWICE my freshman year once before jim cherry died once after, i saw both. thr tour supporting twisted by design they were opening for pennywise i think in 99, that was the most violent pennywise crowd ive ever been in. i was literally punching n throwing elbows at grown adults as a 15 yr old i was in full aggro swing doing cocaine and acid already at that age😅
bro im 39 u gotta be my age i graduated in 2002, i gotta ask how did u get linked up to tour with Diesel Boy? is 2023 their first year touring since they went on hiatus?
So that's what happened to Chris Flippin?! I knew he was ill as he can't work his Carpentry day job anymore and needs help. Wishing the big guy all the best.
wait wtf? what's wrong with him😢
he's the only original member left in Lagwagon!!!!!
Black flag played so36 in 1983
How does one get invited to become the guitar player of Diesel Boy? Did they find you because of your UA-cam channel?
🔥 'promo sm'
I remember seeing these in The Studio in Hartlepool UK in the early 2000s thought they where great can't remember what year it was.
Good for U bro!!
P.s. have U done a thing on TSOL
Can't say I've ever eaten hazelnewts?🥸😂😂
