YAY! Really happy to see all the support for Bleaklight Falls, that's the fuel that keeps me going! I think I need to embrace my inner babushka and vote for #4
#1 - Love the visuals, almost Animal Crossing meets Wind Waker vibes. Unsure of the core gameplay loop, but the what is shown, is done quite well! Everything looks extremely well polished, and I could absolutely imagine seeing this doing well if the gameplay delivers as the rest has. #2 - Super neat mechanic, and I'm into the 1-bit style. My primary concern would be the cumbersome burden, akin to what some of the less-entertaining Mario and Luigi RPG games have, where navigating the map becomes common sense "puzzle", but the actions required to execute aren't that much fun after awhile. I could REALLY see that jack system working fantastic with a 3DS stylus or touch screen, and I'm usually not into that, but it would speed things up without breaking immersion / gameplay flow. While not at all popular, "Tao's Adventure" on 3DS showcases this potential system pretty well. #3 - I'm brimming with excitement over the potential of these style games, with Twitch / UA-cam / streamer.bot integration, there's so much potential! I've yet to look into programming anything of the sort myself, but I'd really like to use Godot for a simple 1-off Tamagachi on steroids, and this is very much in that direction. I'll have to look into this one more, as I love the polish, charm, and overall tech of this project! #4 - Having grown up with an NES as my primary console for quite some time, I'm super into the style of this game. It's hard for me to tell how into the gameplay I'd be, but I like me a good platformer, and the polish seems there, so I'd definitely give it a go. Side note, that glitch style is definitely reminding me of Axiom Verge's style around that, which is a great thing. #5 - While not 100% my genre or gameplay loop of choice, I absolutely see and appreciate what you've done, and the very likely addictive / dopamine inducing nature of this game. I have a buddy who travels across the lake to play at the casino almost monthly, and I'm pretty sure I could just charge him to sit at my PC and play this instead - writing that idea down, for science. Great job on the polish, especially the animation / audio feedback to the player. It's super close between 1 and 3 for me, but I'm going to give this week to #1. A lot of work has gone into ALL of these games, and I am once again inspired - mission complete!
There could not be any more contrast between 1 and 5 :D My vote this week is on Nr #1 btw. Thanks also @StayAtHomeDev for going strong and keeping this series rolling. It's amazing you do this for the Godot community.
My vote goes to #1 Zitifono as I really liked how it looked, however, the simplistic graphic of #2 reminds me of some the games I played in my early teens.
This week is HARD! I played the demo of Ballionaire and is great! Still, I'm split between #1 and #2 hmmmmmmmmm. I will vote #2 since I loved the minimalist 2-color pixel art style and the cable patching gameplay. Still, my regards to #1 since I'm a sucker for cute games and adventure games like this one. Edit: Ah and #4 is also really interesting. Loved the babushka theme combined with the old glitched style.
Can I please vote for all of them? All have amazing ideas and execution. But if only one gets the vote, then I think I'll chose #3 Tiny Pasture as the winner because I want it right now on my desktop :)
Feels like every week just gets better on these. Man, Godot really coming into its own lately.
