Hi Mike I no longer live in Hull but I used to fish the Humber from 1965 for a few years, including Old Hall. Great fishing down that way. Great videos, keep them coming!
Always admire your dedication Mike. All the best from sunny Essex Clacton is bad at the moment but I’m going tonight. 👍🏻😂😂. Not hoping for to much. lol
That looks like a very small bull huss (greater spotted dogfish) to me rather than the more common lesser spotted dogfish. Lesser spotted dogs have lots of very small spots scattered over them, whereas the bull huss i have seen (mostly in wales, but there are plenty of photos on the net) showing bull huss with fewer, larger and distincly round and individual spots. Just like yours. Well done mate if it is.
There is a mark to yr right ,its a pair of kranches at south farm , an excellent mark on those moon tides , walkin from old battery & a mark to yr left at hawkins point east bank

I've got the same reel, I have noticed though that the cone can be used with the lightweight teflon spool
Can’t you mean? I know what you mean if so. It’s as if spool a bit bigger

Keep thinking about Hawkins point. Used to be my favourite shooting spot
