Beautiful place to visit and photograph. The tortured souls that lived there seem to still haunt and be there. Thank you Jason for taking us on a visit to a sad and emotion filled building.
Yet again you produce another inspirational video to make me want to continue learning photography and master my craft. I live right near this place and have never ventured inside it, it's interesting to see what it's like inside and as you say you enter at your own risk. Your video's are always up to an incredible high standard and I can't wait to see what's next in store!
Possible suggestion, wear a respirator mask in these places because asbestos is no joke. It took my Dad a year ago...otherwise great shoot, I love places like that, I thought of you when I explored one where I live, "the farm colony"
These guys did. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2982467/Inside-asylum-Eerie-pictures-abandoned-psychiatric-hospital-patients-caged-lobotomised.html#v-4096737150001
This is so true. I’m a retired General Building Contractor and the deteriorating condition of the walls, floors, and structure frees asbestos into the air and it is stirred up when you walk around the facility. A major problem in these environments. Masks should be considered mandatory. Asbestos exposure is cumulative. Deadly!
Inspiring work please be careful of Asbestos in these old buildings especially lagging around hot water pipes we want you to live forever there is so much more to learn from you thanks.Keep up the graet work.
awesome Jason I first found your channel ages ago when searching urbex videos and watched all your videos since I have learned countless things from your channel and now I make urbex videos and photos myself thanks for all the help your the greatest 😆❤❤❤
Jason, I love your exploring videos. I have heard you say "always expose for the sky", but did you do this for the inside shots where you could see sky through the windows? Or at that point do you find a happy medium? Also, the wheel chair shot...what were you exposing for there?
I know it's not always about the gear, but in this case, being able to see the result in real time as you spin your dial would be invaluable in this situation with such a wide dynamic range. I'd so love to have a mirrorless system.
Man that place is huge! I would totally explore this place too if I have a chance. The whole time I was like I hope they know how to go back to their hidden gears lol.
Hello Mr Lanier. Do you mainly use Prime Lenses? What did you use in this shot? and do you think a Sony FE 50mm f/1.8 is a good lens to use for a architecture shot?
After watching 2 days of butt kissing Photokino video's this is a welcome surprise. Excellent video, beautiful place. Thanks for sharing Thumbs up. Man if that place could talk
Hola Jason, soy Angel de Salamanca ( España ) veo tus videos y me gustan mucho, pero no entiendo ingles, cuando haces uno en Español te lo agradeceria , a veces te escuche hablar algo en español ,,,,,
The insane used to be housed in asylums, today, they are homeless, and walking on the streets. Which is the more merciful approach to the mentally ill?

Ditto. Also because of black mold.
Most likely why Jason reminds us about the dangers of these places...

Now I know where the " Angry photographer " escaped from
awesome... wonder what lens are you using?
I love your little giggle. Lol
This place looks amazing. Did you need to get authorisation to enter the premises? or do you just jump in?
OMG I wish someone had told me about this place when i was over there. Good intel Jason.
Hey whats your opinion on the Sony a99 ii?
Jason you've bypassed the question. Not like you?

Hi - Did you have 'permission' - I was under the impression it was security patrolled ? - Always wanted to shoot there but was put off
did u explore the tunnels ;)
HEHHEEHEHE I LIVE IN DENBIGH :3 LOL
+Jason Lanier is there any presets in Lightroom you use and would you share them out?
I think Jason has some sugar in his tank:)
any intention to explore gunkinjima. probably the best abandoned spot on earth
'Lunatic Asylum' :)
Is there anybody in there? Just knod if you can here me...
Great video, but you and the crew should at least be wearing P3 disposable masks.
Can this guy hold the camera straight.
a fedora and a gay leather jacket are also a must for protection
Lol it's not even a leather jacket. You haters are really ignorant.
I'd be careful about trespassing while in a foreign country. The authorities might not like you telling them you're an artist creating art.
Must be lots of lunatics in Wales.
the denbigh mental was shut down MANY years ago >:( thats really quite offensive...
I live in denbigh/wales. the people here are lovely.
The insane used to be housed in asylums, today, they are homeless, and walking on the streets. Which is the more merciful approach to the mentally ill?
Were there any lunatics lingering around?
Just me
+Jason Lanier ayyy
