The lead singer of INXS (in excess) name is Michael Hutchence. He passed away November 1997 at the age of 37. Next song from INXS should be "New Sensation"
@@Great-Documentaries After all the Diddy bs have to wonder... Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington died in the same way hanging from a door in a hotel room...They were working on a documentary about child exploitation in the enertainment world...
Filmed in Prague. I went there for the first time two months ago, and after watching this video again, I was excited to see many of the landmarks that we visited.
Great reaction Steph. I'm always thrilled and very proud to see Reactors discovering Australian bands (I'm Aussie). The band's name is pronounced "In Excess". Wish you every success.
I congratulate you, it's never too late to discover or re-discover these bands. It's so refreshing to see how you get excited and immerse yourself in these (now) old songs that as you say have not lost their authenticity or freshness. It's good to see you like this. I look forward to more of your reactions. Thank you very much for sharing them and have a good trip. Take care.
One of my top 3 favorite bands. Such an amazing sound, and plenty of great songs. For a short list, be sure to check out "SUICIDE BLONDE", "NEED YOU TONIGHT", "NEW SENSATION", and "WHAT YOU NEED". Many more, but these will get you started in the right direction. Loved your reaction, Steph, especially when the sax joined in. Happy to be a new subscriber!
INXS are an Australian band that started in the late 70's either in Perth or Sydney. They were mostly pop rock with a touch of new wave. The consisted around a core of the 3 Farris brothers. They had a charismatic, panty dropping lead singer Michael Hutchence. Who did his best to channel Mick Jagger and Jim Morrison. Sadly Michael died in 1997 by suicide, not autoerotic asphyxiation as originally stated by his then partner. A fallacy that most don't know was corrected.
OMG…the deep, deep Rabbit Hole that is INXS!! One of the best bands of the 1980s and 90s! RIP Michael Hutchence!! This is one of my favorite bands! Check out “Don’t Change” and “What You Need”!!
Haha great reaction! INXS were one of the biggest bands in the world at this time, 1987. Over twenty years of hits. They were also known as the best live band in the world from the mid 80s to mud 90s. Check anything out from their 1991 Wembley stadium concert to see them at their peak! Especially What You Need and New Sensation.
Thanks for the great reaction, please do more INXS ("In-excess") there are quite a few really well shot clips from their live performance at Wembley love from a happy new subscriber from Australia!
I’m so glad you like it.the have a heap of songs in their back catalogue. Baby don’t cry Beautiful girl Not enough time Elegantly wasted Dancing on the jetty
Thank you for your reaction, Steph! One day I would love to see your reaction to "Somebody That I Used To Know" by Walk Off The Earth. This is a cover of a song by Gotye, but they do an amazing version of this great piece of music, like nothing you have ever seen before!! And belated Happy Birthday btw!! I hope it was a good one and that you have your best year ever ahead!!
The name of the band is pronounced "In Excess " and this song was amazing since it first came out, but after so many years it sounds truly legendary! Perhaps you'd also enjoy other INXS songs, like New Sensation or Devil Inside, or any other 80's band, like Information Society or Level 42. Cool reaction! Rock on!
Word is they were all hungover and feeling like crap the day of the shoot, and the cemetery was the prefect backdrop; filmed in Prague. MIchael Hutchence was Kylie Minogue's boyfriend
there is a handful of bands that built MTV...bands like Duran Duran, ZZ Top, INXS, and others, but most certainly INXS was among them. If you were sitting at home during the summer of 82/83ish & your parents were gone for the day, leaving you a list of chores they expected to get done, you undoubtedly had MTV going & you jammed, danced, and sang your ass off to some of their stuff. 77-89...the greatest decade plus, to have lived IMHO, as biased as it is.
Steph, when you react to Need You Tonight make sure it’s the video with Mediate attached. The music leads right into Mediate from Need You Tonight not only on the album but on the video also.
Great song, they were quite hot in the 80s and had a string of really good tunes and big hits. For another, try Suicide Blond! You will love this band. Safe travels, you look great as always, pretty lady! Enjoy. 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎹🎷🎶🔥
If you do any more of INXS you should definitely do their live performances it's better than studio version videos especially the Wembley Stadium 1991 I would start with What You Need!
Yes he hung himself in 1992 and Denmark he was punched by a cab driver he got knocked down hit his head on the concrete and I believe that started his downfall he lost his taste and sense of smell and he started making bad decisions and he went into depression and and had troubles in his personal life and I guess he started doing harder drugs and alcohol his autopsy showed that he had traumatic brain injury in two sections of his brain it's a very sad story and they play this song and another one of his songs called By My Side at his funeral😭😭😭🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 RIP Michael Hutchence 💔💔💔

Live is the only way to go with INXS, specifically from their 1991 Live Baby Live concert at Wembley stadium. I'd start with "What You Need".
No. I've seen them live and they are great. Even after Michael "died." But people new to their music should hear the studio versions first!
He was an attractive human 😊 one of the best 80s songs! ♥
