I found a '90 non turbo z32 with 72k a year ago and bought it. It is in nearly perfect condition because it was garaged its entire existence. I get stopped all the time by people who love its looks. When my t tops are off, people dip their heads in for a look and cant believe the interior design. I love the car, I smile while I drive this baby all the time. its quick for what it is...just not fast by today's standards. Every little hot rodder wants to race and I let them think its a twin turbo if they want and ignore them.
The interior is one of the best designs ever with the sloping dash that wraps around. All the climate controls right at the driver reach near the steering wheel. They thought of everything including putting the shifter on the same plane as the wheel to reduce the time between wheel and shifter.
That is one timeless design, inside and out! it Does still look modern, even now, such fluid lines...the interior is Way nicer than current cars with their retro modoern tech look and chopped up dash with tacked on screens... this interior Flows and has a beautiful center console that I wish any current ccar had...so nice! I remember test driving these back in the day, when I;d sneak away from the dealership and then go balastic in my test drives! It was Genuinely Quick and actually thrilling when pushed...remember that in its time, it was seriously fast.
Picked up a 1995 twin turbo with 12,500 miles back in December of 2014, took delivery in January 2015. beautiful car in mint condition, this is the third z car i've owned. some one kept it stored for about 20 years, it has been my daily driver for the last two years
It has been for the most part. Currently out of commission due to some shifting issues, I have already purchased the transmission shift solenoid but there are other parts that I am going to replace. ( torque converter solenoid, filter, gasket and valve body upgrade spring kit ) and hopefully that will take care of my transmission shift problem.
Man I loved mine. I got a silver one new in '93. I chipped it, swapped out the intercoolers, air intake and exhaust system for HKS ones. It was damn fast for the era. I've never once been drawn to the 350 or 370 ZX though. Also, I actually owned a 928S and always said how similar the dash design was. I think you're the first person I've ever heard comment about the similarities.
@@archangelirishfreedomfight3255 wasn't ruined at all. It looked completely stock except for the two single exhaust tips instead of the four tiny ones.
A great tribute to a truly landmark automobile. Such a beautiful car even in 2021. All it needs is a set of modern alloys . I wouldn't change anything else . It also has a marvellous engine note.
Not much not to love. 92 red TT, 88,000 km. Had since 93. Never seen rain, crisp, clean, mint, sexy. Stebro exhaust, polished rims, KN air, chipped, 391 hp atw and 340 ft lbs. No rice nonsense. Can’t wait for summer 😁
I had that exact same car, (Except the color, mine was burgundy) in 96. Bought it off the show room floor. I really wish that I had the foresight to take care of it the way the owner of your episode vehicle did. I drove the hell out of my car. I lived in Denver at the time, and every weekend I was in the twisted roads of the Rocky mountain range. The 4 wheel steering was sublime, the engine was perfection. I even had a....wait for it......in dash CD player!!!!! (The only option you could get on that car at that time.)Tops off in the summer driving around in the sultry summer heat day and night, I was always in my car. I loved it more than my girlfriend at the time....and yes, she knew it. What memories this episode brought back. Great job.
You might not have taken care of the car like this owner, but you enjoyed ever second of that car! Cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed (: I now own a 93 300zx TT and I love it! Maybe one day you'll stumble upon one that you can own again!
+ Jose Hernandez You are right about that. I absolutely loved that car and everything about it. Out of all the cars I have owned, which now include Mercedes and Jaguar, this is still the car that I pine for. It was that good. Hopefully someday I will find another car that will do the same for me.
I've owned a '79 280ZX 2+2, then an '85 Z31 NA, and then a '91 Z32 TT - all were bought used as I was driving after their prime. All three of these were fun cars to drive and own. The last one was the most fun to drive, smoking Z28s of that era around corners, but its short lifespan made owning it a drag. After about 110k miles the engine had enough. Replacing the engine requires getting an appropriate turbo system to match, which starts to add up if you're not making money on the track. It's a conundrum, because you can't *not* drive it! The Z31 in my experience was a nice, reliable car with a decent amount of go. It was a tad faster than my 280, but nothing face peeling. The shorter wheelbase made it corner better. The '79 280ZX 2+2 was my first, and I drove it as a senior in hs in the '92-'93 school year (and for another year after). I honed my driving "skills" on it and enjoyed its uniqueness and style. There was lots of room under the hood to work on its incredible I-6, and there was a great sense of information control as I monitored all the gauges inside. Although the two extra seats were handy for driving around cute girls, I always wanted the shorter 2-seater. Considering all this, I think I would prefer the 280 the most, out of the ones you show. Now, if authenticity weren't required, I'd still like to make something of the 280ZX with some modern components. First, I'd beefen up the rear suspension so it doesn't sit like a frog on launch. I might cut more clearance in the wheel wells for larger tires, and maybe somehow widen the whole body by about 6 inches (as they did for racing versions). I'd make the blinkers flush and remove excess trim. I'd keep the shape of the bumpers, but maybe refine them a little bit if possible. Last but not least, I'd do whatever I could to give that I-6 more power to thrive on today's highways. I wouldn't want to build a champion, just something that can deliver modern expectations through classic design.
Man... I thought my '96TT was under-driven, with 17,000 miles on the odometer. 500 miles is almost showroom! First car I ever fell in love with, and I still enjoy just looking at it.
back in the 00's I had a (functionally) stock z32, sans turbos. third owner. even being the "wimpier" model, every time I drove it was a blast. living in the city, the acceleration was more than enough to be the first off the line at a stoplight, or pass some dickhead who thought LED's make you go faster. only issue was... maintenance nightmare. it developed this fun quirk where the engine would die when you depressed the clutch about 50% of the time. UNLESS the A/C was on. took it to five different shops, got five different solutions, none of them worked. ended up trading it in for scrap value when I moved to a snowier climate. but it had a LOT of hard, desert miles, so I don't have any regrets. I'd buy another one in a heartbeat. especially now that I've gotten the fuck out of Tucson...
I just recently turned 16 and I have always wanted a 300zx TT or Non-Turbo either was fine just a 300zx. My dad found a 1994 Twin Turbo and bought it for me. I pulled into school the next day and everyone is amazed by the car. I have people asking to race all the time, asking for rides in it. It's unreal even though my girlfriend doesn't like it bc it's fast and not "classy or pretty" I love it and I always find an excuse to show it off and drive it.
I just bought a 94 TT with 91k. Bought it and don't regret it. I was very fortunate to purchase a beautiful example of a used 300ZX Twin Turbo. I see and hear about a lot that are beat like a red headed step child and then sold to the next guy. Mine appears to have avoided much of a beating. I am looking forward to respraying the car to bright back the Cherry Red paint and putting some nicer wheels on it. A few other tasteful upgrades are planned but when complete I want this car to be a highway cruiser/cayon car. I've been in love with the lines of the 300ZX since I first saw one back in the 90s. Now, it's my chance to live out all those day dreams I had as a kid.
I just bought a 96 300zx Turbo, exactly like the one depicted in the video, black on black leather, except mine isnt one of the last 300. Coming from driving a 91 Trans Am GTA throughout highschool with 250hp and 345ft-lbs of torque, this thing is insane. I feel like the 300hp/283lb-ft was highly under-rated, because the turbo models are absolute monsters. Definitely struck a deal when i picked it up for $10,000.
This video brought me back.. I owned a 1983 280zx, then a 1990 300zx tt, and then a 1994 300zxtt (purchased in 1997).. All the work, i did to the 94 300zx was, short throw shifter, bigger intercoolers, computer upgrade, exhaust and intake.. The car was a total animal,, I was destroying corvettes quite easily at the time.... If i went back in time, i would of kept that Z until today..
Love love love this car. So beautiful. I Love the way u were driving. Brought back memories of when I got in the car just kind of wrapped around us. So dope. MY DAD bought the brand new Azure Blue 1990 300zx. He traded his 85 Z out after 5 years and surprised me when he picked me up from my 1st Job at Wendy's. I had always been a Z lover and when I saw this Z pulling up I was like Ooh who is driving this beauty. Was shocked when it was my Dad. My 15 years old self was saying YES. THIS CAR WILL BE MINE in 3 YEARS. LOL! We got so many stares of admiration in March 1990. Was a true beauty.🔥💯‼
the first gen. hands down. i love just that old school look and feel. i actually happen to own the 1980 280zx n i love it more than any other car. i bought the car broken down for $500 dollars when i was only in ten yrs im now 23 yrs old, i remember begging my father to buy it for me and i would pay him back with errands and work around the house or his work trucks. ive done all the work myself my father to this day can not believe i still have the car and how much i treasure it. i appreciate every little detail on it man. i wouldnt trade it for any other car. i still thank my father for actually getting it for me at such a young knowing damn right i wasnt going to be able to drive it for a good period of time. i remember being so excited and anxious to get home from school to work on it, wash it even just sit in it. as of today the car is sittin in my garage covered up and i go in there every day to just stare at it. i only take it out on the weekends just to cruise around take it to the car wash and absolutely love when older men walk up to me and compliment it and tell me their story with the z cars. its amazing.
The 280. I was 18 in 1985. My girlfriends parents had an 83 Turbo Z. They let me drive it a lot when I would run errands for them. Champagne Beige ( looked like tinted silver) with burgundy interior. I would love to have one like it!
I had a 280ZX, an 1984 300ZX Turbo, and did lust after a 90's Z32 twin Turbo. Never got one of those. But you're right that 96' took a lot of cues from the Porsche 928. I currently have a 1991 928GT, similar in a lot of ways to that 96 300ZX. Those are all nice cars. thanks for showing them.
I bought my pearl white '93 TT in 2001 from the original owner with 48k miles on it. I think I paid $11,500 for it - a lot for an 18yo. Shortly after that, I'd built it up to 525hp while keeping the exterior 100% stock, save for the '99 Japanese spec tail lights, period correct Work VS-XX wheels (in gold, of course) and a B&B quad-oval exhaust. People seem to have a lot of love for the Z32. Nearly every time I have it out, someone goes out of their way to give me a thumbs-up, or tell me how they used to have one, or how they've always wanted one. The Z32 seems to be one of those rare cars that people dreamed about for years and then later found they could actually afford one. They are/were quite attainable... Though I hope that begins to change. I've managed to bring mine up to 75k miles over the last 17 years, but living in Thailand for the past 5 years has made me miss it a bit. Bringing that average down, though... Anyhow, nice video. Thanks for putting this up.
Glad you noticed . . . it was a special moment for me. This is a car I wanted back in the day soooooo bad but it was beyond my reach at that point. To have the opportunity to drive one that was new in the wrapper FROM NISSAN, a gift.
I agree that this car is still a screaming bargain. With early year 240 Zs beginning to climb in value, Z32 prices are riding the tide higher. I've owned a '93 TT w/ 50k miles since 2001 and in my opinion finding a well maintained example is becoming increasingly more difficult. Today (2016) A super clean 90-95 300ZX with sensible aftermarket parts, e.g., 400hp, are selling in the range of $12-14,000. Junkers are found everyday under $5K; and the last stock all OEM survivor I saw had 15k miles and sold on Ebay for $22,000. These prices (except for rolling wrecks) will soon be a thing of the past. If you get a chance to drive a nice twin turbo you'll be convinced that they are beautifully styled automobiles that have a ton of comfort and performance.
The Z32 I loved that car back then but could not afford it sad to say but now at 42 years old I own a 2015 NISSAN GTR but I would like to find one in mint condition like this one and I would definitely buy it I still love this car besides being 20 years my only classic I think it's safe to say because this was another car I really loved this car first the looks second the power in the engine and back then it was the only American car that would embarrassed the corvette from zero to 60 and the quarter mile and I'm talking about the one and only THE BUICK GRAND NATIONAL GNX.
Great Job motoman, this is my all time favorite car loved it as a kid and I plan on getting one soon, I love the t top and the power that comes with the there's something about the design of this car that I can't get outta my head. the design is the best to me all around.
Z32! Order of purchase 1991 300zx 2+2 white - totaled 😩owed from 1995 -2002 1995 vert white purchase 2012 1990 na white - flipped $$ sold 1995 vert black TT SWAP purchase 2014 1990 slicktop white - sold Smile on my face every time I drive one
My choice would be the Z31 300zx 50th anniversary edition. I fell in love with this car in my teenage years. Unfortunately I was not able to afford to buy one, but I did eventually buy an 89’ 240sx coupe which I absolutely loved and drove this for over 22 years. Great cars from Nissan !!
Oddly, in 2001, my friend's dad passed his 1990 that he got brand new, down to him. Last I talked to him about ten years or so ago, he had it in the 250k range. Citing that he doesn't want to let it go because not only has it been in his life for around twenty years, but other than General maintenance, he hasn't really had to do anything. Save for replacing a headlight in 2007 because his (Ex) girlfriend slammed it with a baseball bat. Which is how he found out they're also the Lamborghini Diablo headlights.
It's the Z32 for me! That's because I owned a brand new one I special ordered in 1993...Super White with the tan leather interior. I was still in college at the University of Tennessee Knoxville and 22 years old. That car arouses so many memories from perhaps the best times of my life. I later lost the car in my divorce and have and have held a degree of bitterness about it since. If the car had not been forceably taken from me by the Judge I would never have let this car go. I would without a doubt still own it today. The trauma from my divorce came from the loss of that car and is the sore that will never quite heal. I am quite certain that is why my ex was so interested in taking it. She knew the pain of losing it was going to be much greater and far longer felt than simply losing her...lol. I would never tell her this but she was right. She would get so much pleasure knowing that she still manages to cause me pain today every time I think about that car being gone. It's one of the worst things that has ever happened to me...lol. Her memory is already fading but the car I remember like it was yesterday. Oh, and yes, they definitely need to bring back the t-tops! I have an NC Mazda Miata today. Love it as well. I bring up the MX to point out that even with a fully retracting convertible top it is just not the same. There is an unexplainable magic that t-tops bring...when they are engineered as well as these were. Never squeaked, tattled, or leaked and were free of any wind noise.
The car was electronically governed to have an artificial top speed of 159. The ECU upgrades were plug and play 20% HP increases. From the factory this car was low compression, low boost, and 200RPM lower revs. As mind blowing as 100HP/L was back then, it wasn't near its potential when the computer upgrades added another 60-65 HP.
This Z is still the only Nissan I'd buy today. This car still looks good, even with the funky orange peel on the lower half (presumably for protection on track days). Who doesn't love a T-top? Back in the day we had this and the Miata and air-cooled Porsches and n/a BMW's and the NSX. Those were fun times. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
I remember the commercial for this. Starts out roasting a tire to smoke, slow motion and in a closeup that pans out to show what car is spinning the tires. Great promoting.
I had a red convertible, unfortunately, non-turbo kept it 15 years when normally I'd move on after 2 years. It really was so much fun to drive and attracted attention where ever we went, being a "ragtop" it was rare in OZ, wish now I'd kept it
I wish he would stop referring to that 280zx as a Turbo car. With 145hp, it's a non-turbo. The turbo was about 180hp, and was significantly faster. He also gave 2 completely different weights for the Z32. First it was 3501 lbs, then 3373. Which is it? Also- The Supra wasn't gone from the US in 1996. It was sold in the US until 1998.
I have a 93tt that I have owned for 25 years and have owned an 89 NA Z31, and a 72 240 Z. The 240 got the most attention, but the 93 is the most fun to drive.
I must say id go with the Black Z32. Because I have a Black Z32 2-seat w black interior. It is stock except Borlas and a dry Apexi intake and its also a 5-speed. Just like the one in THIS VIDEO. Had it since 2000. This guy is correct. It really is a 'sweet heart'. Best way I can describe the driving experience is....It both excites you and relaxes you, at the SAME time.
I bought a red 300ZX Twin Turbo 2+2. When I was 16 in 1991 I loved the looks..Turned 18 and bought a VW. Many followed and Audi's when I got older. Now I'm 40 and living my dream..last year I bought a 1968 Camaro RS and the 300ZX! Feels like I'm 16 again :-)
You should see the titanium key that came with it. Most owners kept them when they sold em. I shoulda kept mine. eBay had one from a dealership for $1,000. Just for the key. And it IS a work of art.
The sway you’re feeling in the rear end is the all wheel steering. Many got rid of the system as it gave an unnatural feel in the corners and added weight to the car.
Cool video. Unfortunately, '96 was the year that the Z32 300ZX Twin Turbo was most stifled from the factory. I currently own two Z32's - a '95 Twin Turbo with 180,000 miles on it, and a '90 (299th ever made) N/A with 130,000 miles. I'm selling the N/A to restore the TT to showroom OEM condition. I've now had 3 Z32's, and regardless of age, miles, or fault, they're simply irresistible and I ALWAYS can't wait to get in and drive them. I've driven more cars than I can count - F40's, 911's, Countach's, Skyline GT-R's, RX-7's... no car is as user friendly and enjoyable to drive and ride in as a Z32, besides perhaps an NA1 NSX.
Bought my Z32 TT it had 90,000 kilometres today 20 years later it has 270,000 kilometres same turbos engine never been out, as long as you keep it serviced it will go forever, you will go through clutches and brakes if you hammer it though.
I own an 87 300 ZX Z31 upgraded to a turbo. love it. My first experience was sitting in my cousins 280Z in Jamaica at 13 years of age and just simply saying to myself; 'this is my dream car!' @34/35 I bought my 1987 and I plan on buying as many different ones including but not limited to all the Datsun Z car models and the Z32s, even 350/370Zs.
Great cars I had a 1987 z31 2+2 manual shift for 7 years until 2003. did about 40 thousand miles in it...fast miles. The only thing I had to do to it, was change the propshaft - replacing the 2 piece was too expensive, I just put in a single drive shaft. It had the z32 engine in it with a large diameter turbo (after market) it was spooled up at 1500 rpm, no lag. Tons of torque and 360 HP at the back wheels. I am hoping to get an 1990 twin turbo close to standard and do a chip tune on it. I think this is a better looking car.
Supra no longer around in 1996? The MKIV Supra was the last of the Mohicans here in the US. Every other car in this class was dead after 1996. The Supra Twin Turbo survived until 1998. Regardless, this was the ultimate in Zs. I worked for NMC in the early to mid 90s. These cars make me drool. Nissan was at the top of it's game back then. Hopefully Nissan will make cars of this quality again. One can only hope......
🤔I owned a 1993 black exterior with tan leather interior twin turbo z in 1999, and it’s 2019 and people are still asking me about it . I got rid of it in 2001, and I’ve owned 10 vehicles since I’ve had the z and the Z is the only one that ppl ask me about and it’s been 18 years since I’ve had it 🤨.
had a '96 300zx pearl white, tan interrior and all the goodies. I no longer have it... long story. Was and is my FAVORITE car. Will have another one someday ans keep it forever!
Christopher Kuehl I just added my story to the comments. I owned a 1993 super white one with the tan leather interior that I special ordered brand new. Lost it later in my divorce. Absolutely tops my list as my favorite car. I have never recovered from looking that car. What? Oh yeah, I got over losing the wife years ago. It's the trauma of losing my 300ZX that still lingers just below the surface today.
I grew up around these cars my dad had a 50th anniversary silver just like the one in your previous video except for it was a stick shift He also in 86 I believe then when I got into High School my two best friends had 280ZX turbos when was the stick one was a manual truly excellent cars
I can't pick...I love all three for different reasons. I have always loved t-tops and have recently wondered why manufacturers don't offer that as an option anymore. PLEASE bring back the t-tops! Convertibles are for old people..haha.
I remember seeing one of those when I was in my teens. Man, it looked like from outer space comparing to other European cars around me. I mean it was so advanced ad incredibly designed and all that tech was so advanced and high quality in that era. Sure we have beautiful cars these days, but nothing is shocking like this was when it came out. Fun fact - the Renault Laguna Coupé I drive today has the same "Super Hicas" system only it is called 4Control. The tech came along with their merger with NIssan - and it is a fantastic piece of kit ;)
I like z32 300zx, and I have it JDM 4 seater as I wanted 4 seater twin turbo done some work after I bought it, and now just enjoy it every moment even when I see it in sitting in the garage.I own JDM 2000 nissan skyline R34 GTT 4 door as well, but still prefer Z32 than the skyline. Regards
It will be nice for Nissan to offer that as a option on the current Z being sold today. Unfortunately Nissan doesn't offer it, however Nissan used the Z32 rear tail lights design on the current model, The only way to get a T-Top is to go aftermarket, like how the 5th gen Camaro moded with a T-Top shown when it was transformed to the FireBird Trans am, except it uses the metal body no glass..
@@preshensalig1762 no, the Z32 was, with the first CRAY-2 Super computer purchased by an Automotive company. The Z32 production started in 1989, a year before the E36.
i got one, sweet car, not fast, engine noises not that great, but going downhill on the twisty still amazing, very communicative, proper proper old school sport car
The first car I owned was a 280zx in 1991 and that car was fast. I was never able to reach top speed with it, but I got to a 130MH before I was pulled by a cop and never repeated that.
man i found your channel by watching a titan xd video , never would have known you had Z videos lol i really enjoyed this series. i would say the z32 TT but i would take a 200ZR over that though.
Couldn't agree with you more - Simply timeless design - but being the second owner of s/n 258/300 I am a bit biased - just turned 22,222mi. on 11/23/2022
In 2019 I still have my 93 triple black 300zx twin turbo my love for this car has never changed ❤️❤️❤️❤️💕💕💕 and never will !!!!

+ Jose Hernandez
You are right about that. I absolutely loved that car and everything about it. Out of all the cars I have owned, which now include Mercedes and Jaguar, this is still the car that I pine for. It was that good. Hopefully someday I will find another car that will do the same for me.
You talk as you will never own another 300zx. Why? Go out a find you a solid 1995 TT and drive the hell out of that one!
+William Bunnell Trade in the girlfriend . . . :)
+William Bunnell Dad of the year award goes to....
MotoManTV I would trade her in but I can't.
Ben Harrington Haha thank you, he misses the car and wishes he one himself
I have a 93 non turbo
I want all 3 z cars...... I fell in love with the 240z , but every time they make new change, I fall In love all over again.
We just watched your review again & really enjoyed the trip down memory lane. WHAT A CAR!!! Thanks for sharing.
1989 I felel the 300zx was the first modern sports car
Great story . . . thank you for sharing!
And it still looks better than sports cars today! Before it's time.
the first gen. hands down. i love just that old school look and feel. i actually happen to own the 1980 280zx n i love it more than any other car. i bought the car broken down for $500 dollars when i was only in ten yrs im now 23 yrs old, i remember begging my father to buy it for me and i would pay him back with errands and work around the house or his work trucks. ive done all the work myself my father to this day can not believe i still have the car and how much i treasure it. i appreciate every little detail on it man. i wouldnt trade it for any other car. i still thank my father for actually getting it for me at such a young knowing damn right i wasnt going to be able to drive it for a good period of time. i remember being so excited and anxious to get home from school to work on it, wash it even just sit in it. as of today the car is sittin in my garage covered up and i go in there every day to just stare at it. i only take it out on the weekends just to cruise around take it to the car wash and absolutely love when older men walk up to me and compliment it and tell me their story with the z cars. its amazing.
I love how this car made you smile. I want a time machine so bad!
Glad you noticed . . . it was a special moment for me. This is a car I wanted back in the day soooooo bad but it was beyond my reach at that point. To have the opportunity to drive one that was new in the wrapper FROM NISSAN, a gift.
Looks like you had the suspension in touring mode. That's probably why the rear had a little sway
The Z32 I loved that car back then but could not afford it sad to say but now at 42 years old I own a 2015
NISSAN GTR but I would like to find one in mint condition like this one and I would definitely buy it I still love this car besides being 20 years my only classic I think it's safe to say because this was another car I really loved this car first the looks second the power in the engine and back then it was the only American car that would embarrassed the corvette from zero to 60 and the quarter mile and I'm talking about the one and only THE BUICK GRAND NATIONAL GNX.
The absolute BEST LOOKING timeless design EVER, in my opinion. One that is affordable to great extent too.
Fitting review to bump into. Test drove one n loved it. Picking up mine on Saturday. Cant wait!
Great Job motoman, this is my all time favorite car loved it as a kid and I plan on getting one soon, I love the t top and the power that comes with the there's something about the design of this car that I can't get outta my head. the design is the best to me all around.

Smile on my face every time I drive one
One of my fav cars of all time! Thank you for bringing back my high school memories of this car!
Car and Driver top ten car for 6 yrs in a row. The first truly great japanese car
Still have mine garaged 91 2+0 5 spd manual since July 2000. Good enough to jump in RIGHT NOW and goto the store. Still gorgeous.
I have a z32 1993 soft top about 8 years now it’s super mint condition only covered 10000 miles . Best car ever .
As a daily driver the Z32 and the first Z as a second car for the weekend!!!
I fell in love with the z32 in high school. Now I have a swaped turbo 280z and a z32 TT swapped.
Great video! I own a Z32 and they're the best Z cars to date
Just bought my 1991 300zx non twinturbo love this car always great to look at very fun to drive.
This is why I’m never getting married; it’s a trap
The car was electronically governed to have an artificial top speed of 159. The ECU upgrades were plug and play 20% HP increases. From the factory this car was low compression, low boost, and 200RPM lower revs. As mind blowing as 100HP/L was back then, it wasn't near its potential when the computer upgrades added another 60-65 HP.
Such a beautiful car design 30 years later... 1991-2021 So good Lamborghini used Z32 the headlights on their Diablo.
Really nice review. I had one of these back in 93, (TT) great memories.
Z32!!!! I used to walk to the Nissan dealership at night just to look at them after hours and not be harassed
I was able to drive my 280z 1977 Datsun 145 and still had room to play with on the I5 in California "love Z's"
this guy deserved more subscribers
I had a red convertible, unfortunately, non-turbo kept it 15 years when normally I'd move on after 2 years. It really was so much fun to drive and attracted attention where ever we went, being a "ragtop" it was rare in OZ, wish now I'd kept it
I have a 1987. Daily driver. 300K on odometer. Love it!
Ya this dude has all sorts of incorrect facts, like his 1984 300zx top speed, he said something like 134, no more like 156.
I got a 93 Z32TT TK3 color code, I love this car and the TTops on the Z.
We were lucky in Australia with the Z32. We had the 2+2 as standard and they imported both the 2 seater and 2+2 twin turbos also.
You should see the titanium key that came with it. Most owners kept them when they sold em. I shoulda kept mine. eBay had one from a dealership for $1,000. Just for the key. And it IS a work of art.
Man I wish my Z had 500 miles on it what a sweet car.
when he said 500 miles I fell in love
I own an 87 300 ZX Z31 upgraded to a turbo. love it. My first experience was sitting in my cousins 280Z in Jamaica at 13 years of age and just simply saying to myself; 'this is my dream car!'
@34/35 I bought my 1987 and I plan on buying as many different ones including but not limited to all the Datsun Z car models and the Z32s, even 350/370Zs.
I owned an 85 ZX turbo, and 87 turbo and a 90TT and I miss all three!
I remember my 91 300zx seatbelts were actually mounted on my actual drivers door which seemed odd but i never used them anyways.
I loved all of these Z's but I first fell in love with the later second gen turbos the most..and of course the twin turbo.
LOVED that color combo . . . Going to get me a Z32 one of these days . . .
Memories, memories, memories... When can I ever have this car again...
Z32 all day long. I had 95 and loved it.
I definitely want a t-top in the new Z and I love the Z32 (I love all Zs but especially that one)
I went to high school during the mid 90s, so naturally, I desire the 300ZX most of all. Thanks for the great mini-series MotoMan!
I had 1979 280zx 5 speed manual, but I like to have 300ZX twins turbo some day
Picked up one for $500 last Sept. Its an N/A but Im currently trying to build it. Very cool car I absolutely love it.
One of my favorite cars of all time.
I fully agree with you that it was way ahead of its time than any other car , past and present. Its just a beautiful car that never, never ages.
I had a 91 Z32 TT. I was alright. Real nice car on a trip. One thing he never mentioned is that they were over priced!
I believe that was implied when he said it cost as much as a Porsche.
I have an 02 trans am with a T-top and yeah they are cool! Give the Z a T!
I’m getting me this car one day!! I want one sooooo bad!!!
I have the manual twin turbo second car I owned and still have it 7 years now and my kids will have it when I leave.
Z32 ALL DAY LONG!!! YES WITH THE T-TOPS, THEY GOTTA BRING THEM BACK.
Interesting Tidbit, the Z32 (Second Gen) 300ZX Twin Turbo was one of the first production cars EVER, to be completely designed on CAD/CAM software.
Going to have Yama-san on the show sometime soon so I will have him tell us the story behind it's development . . .
Glad you used brackets to explain that Z32 means Second gen, otherwise no-one would have a clue what you meant.
***** Why would a rich person need one?
BMW e36 was the first car to be designed with cad
@@preshensalig1762 no, the Z32 was, with the first CRAY-2 Super computer purchased by an Automotive company. The Z32 production started in 1989, a year before the E36.
i got one, sweet car, not fast, engine noises not that great, but going downhill on the twisty still amazing, very communicative, proper proper old school sport car
The first car I owned was a 280zx in 1991 and that car was fast. I was never able to reach top speed with it, but I got to a 130MH before I was pulled by a cop and never repeated that.
man i found your channel by watching a titan xd video , never would have known you had Z videos lol i really enjoyed this series. i would say the z32 TT but i would take a 200ZR over that though.
wow it's so weird seeing a 300zx with seat belts not mounted to the wall. cool video!
the best z they ever made!!!
Couldn't agree with you more - Simply timeless design - but being the second owner of s/n 258/300 I am a bit biased - just turned 22,222mi. on 11/23/2022
