@@SundaysInTheGarden the sound of music is one of my favorites too ,the young lady that played leezell lived here in arizona but has passed away some time ago, 😞
@@rosemarymurray8256 aw, I didn’t know that. Lovely to hear of someone else who enjoys the film. When I visited Austria for my 30th, we did the sound of music tour and it was great to see all of the famous locations. 🎶🏔️
@@SundaysInTheGarden I'm sure it was ! What magical place, some day I plan to take a trip somewhere with my last 2 sisters and some other family members I still want to visit the uk again, maybe in a few years, 😄
Amazing to see it all again. Lovely film capturing all these special moments. We loved it there despite the weather turning. So many wonderful memories even though there were the scary moments at the end. Loved watching this!!
Lovely video Sarah my Wife and I have been to most of these places many years ago and it was great to see them again. Very sad to see the glacier when we went in 1988 & 1999 it was much bigger x
Thank you Ian. So pleased that you enjoyed the video and it bought back fond memories of the area for you. Yes, the glacier visit was very sobering and they have predicted it will be gone entirely in about 25 years time. So sad 🥲
Fantastic views from Austria and you experienced all weathers whilst you were there. You have shown some of the key places to visit. The flowers in the window boxes are so beautiful and well kept as you say. I really took some inspiration from seeing the plants and flowers in Europe. I loved seeing the rainbow near to the waterfall and I really enjoyed Salzburg and seeing some of the key places where filming took place for the Sound of Music. I am glad you are now fully recovered after the allergic reaction. Lovely vlog, thank you. ❤
Hi Sarah and family Unbelievable weather changes. One week later and you would have had to buy skiing gear. I have no more words to describe the scenery and mountains. You said it all. You looked so feverish in the hospital. Hope there are no recurrences. Thanks for sharing this part of Austria. 🎶🎶How do you solve a problem like Sarah?,,,,🎶🎶💞💞💞
Hi Sharon Yes, we couldn't believe the change in weather and we were very lucky to avoid the worst of the flooding that affected Europe. We were quite glad we left when we did as we definitely didn't have the right clothes for the snowy conditions! Yes, the mountains and scenery was just other worldly. Truly breath-taking at every turn. We hope to return very soon. The hospital stay was a little scary but thankfully all better now. Now just off to find someone that will let me play Maria again...haha! Thank you so much for commenting and have a lovely end to the week :-)
@@77sun222 😂 thanks Sharon - it’s actually what I am trained in. I have a theatre degree and I am now a teacher and examiner for the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). But haven’t done any performing since having my children. Would love to get back to it 🎭🎶
