Thank goodness The Gambian farmers are being helped. I had no idea climate change has already affected them so badly. This is all caused by the West's industrialisation and burning of fossil fuels, but others are getting the worst consequence of it. I saw a documentary about farmers in a South American country abandoning (maize) fields they carved out of the rain forest (deforestation) because there has been a drop in rainfall and river levels for the past ten years... they end up leaving to try to find work in USA but it's a very dangerous journey - robbers prey on them and they have to stowaway on trains - and they are illegal immigrants. The families they leave behind are malnourished.
