- "This video starts with Sigfried, the founder and first ruler of the Castle (Fortress) of Luxembourg, established in 963. Luxembourg would be ruled by numerous counts, dukes and Grand Dukes of Luxembourg. The video also highlights various dynasties including Luxembourg, Valois-Burgundy, Habsburg (Spanish and Austrian in the Netherlands). The role of Luxembourg is interesting as it can be seen in their evolving from a county to a duchy between 11th to 14th century. Apart from that. This evolved into a powerful Dynasty in Western and Central Europe known as the Luxembourg Dynasty or House of Luxembourg which was based in countries like Luxembourg, Bohemia or Hungary which allowed the dynasty to dominate within the Holy Roman Empire. Eventually, Habsburg domination throughout Europe would allow them to inherit Luxembourg which would form the seventeen provinces, otherwise known as the Habsburg Netherlands. The role of Luxembourg during the Eighty Years War, otherwise known as the Dutch Revolt, would be important because as they decided to abstain from the Union of Brussels and remain loyal to the Spanish Habsburgs between 1555-1713. The rise of France and eventually Napoleon would dismantle the Habsburgs in the Netherlands. Luxembourg would be established in 1815 as part of the Netherlands (United Kingdom of Netherlands or Dutch Luxembourg). Luxembourg would lose majority of their territories after the Treaty of London in 1839 and would gain independence in 1890 from the Netherlands and participate in both World Wars as a victim in both of them. Todays Luxembourg is one of the economic paradises in Europe with its small geography and population being a beneficiary reason.

I believe Luxembourg is a country today because the Luxembourg dynasty was so important to the history of the HRE and Europe.
Very nicely done! Big work!
And you even included Dutch coast changes.
so good to finally see you back. Hopefully we don't have to wait another year!
Great video! I never knew the house of Luxembourg spread even to Hungary
Luxembourg: Power of familyyy
Welcome back, mate.
Omg, wielki powrót Wielkiego Warsawa. Oczywiście film obejrzany i łapeczka zostawiona!
at one point their dynasty controlled brandenburg, bohemia and hungary at the same time? wow, i knew bohemia but didnt know the rest!
Yes it was Charles 4th of Luxembourg that gave Brandenburg to the Hohenzollern family, which later became the heartland of Prussia.
Great work
The legend is back
