Thank you Ashlee. I hadn’t made the connection about the V7 chord from Alfred’s book which I have but haven’t used all the exercises because of lack of understanding for some of them. 😊
AWESOME, THANK YOU, ASHLEE! Sharing it now, and cuing this to my watch list, as I will be viewing this over and over. "...NOT going to sing," LOL!! You are a very gifted instructor AND entertainer (and my guess is a very good but humble singer!). Blessings to ya, from Edneyville, NC.
unrelated for the most part when I read the title of this video I thought you were going to talk about pachelbels cannon unless I am mistaken is fairly common and there's really something about the sound of the chord progression - can you hear this in in cryin by aerosmith, run to you by byran adams, peace of mind by boston, heaven is a place on earth by belinda carlisle, and alone by heart, it has such a powerful sound somehow
Finally someone braking down cadences. I try to play in all keys all inversions from memory - it’s fun somehow over time ;) May I ask: the 4 chord is - a perfect 4, but the V chord is technically also a 4th down, even it’s a fifth? So it’s in both directions a fourth, right? Thanks :)
Thanks!
Oh my gosh thank YOU for your generosity!!
@@AshleeYoungMusicStudio I appreciate what you do, and I love to learn.
@@craigwilliamdayton that means a lot and I’m glad you love to learn - I do as well!
Your advices are really effective, thank you👍

lol that’s a good one! Maybe I will in the future :)
I hear jazz musicians use it, you could teach us the cannon, I think cannons are the gateway to polyphony and bach stuff

It is fun, right?! If we're talking intervals then yes, the 5 chord when going down is a 4th down from the tonic!
@@AshleeYoungMusicStudiothis opened my eyes thank you :)) it’s all so good fitting to the fingers
Thank you. I am practicing The Wild Horseman
Oh awesome! You’ll have to find all the I, IV and V chords ;)
