One particular use case for this thing could be to crank it on to mode 2 when in between takes or setups. Shit it off for the actual shot. This can help cool it off more with the faster fan speed and eliminate the noise problem for the actual shot. Not a solution for everyone but if one finds themselves doing a few shots then sitting is idle for ten or fifteen minutes or so this can help keep the camera cool.
Can I use this on a wedding? It's not to loud then? And i live on a island where it's always 30 degrees. I film in bright sunlight. My R6 is overheating a lot. Do you think this will helps?
thanks for the review! May i know what is the temperature when you do the test? I also wonder what if you didnt perform cool down in the middle than we will know better how this tilta cooling kit can extend the video record time.
Nice video! I personally would not buy this Tilta fan due to you can't use it with the battery grip for the R5. I also feel that the R5 flip out screen is extremely flimsy & always keep it folded to the body, never sticking out for risk of breaking off. Glad it works for you & please continue making excellent video reviews with it!
Hello friends how does it look with interference or smells. at all has interference or odors when cooler on is special with microphones. When recording video, you can tell that this device is on? I would be grateful for your reply.
I am interested in acquiring this system but I don't know if it would be compatible with a sony alpha 7siii or a 7iv, do you know if the measurements of the screen are similar to any of these, I would be very grateful
Im considering picking one of these up to cool my camera sensor a bit for astrophotography long-exposures. I know it's made for the R5/6... but is there any reason it wouldn't work on a T3i? Has an articulating screen, so the only potential issue is if the cooler wouldn't fit in the space it needs to go against the camera body.
Any chance of testing this out in 80+ degree weather? Its easy for the fan to make a difference in a room temperature environment. And these type of tests are meaningless for people like me who shoot in nothing but outdoors
Hi thanks à lot for your content. When you use your sigma on your r5 i think you Loose a lot ( crop and 15mpxl résolution) Dont Know if you knew it ?. Im french btw so ... sorry for my english
I wouldnt say it is not worth the money. I for sure works. It just depends all your specific needs. Example: We film a lot of motocross events and other outside events. This will for sure be on our cameras for those, as a safety net.
@@adaptivefilmmaker I’m sorry clearly from your video it dose not work I just hope no one will go for that stuff it is better to modify the internals and don’t make your camera looks silly 😜
@@januszciechowskiphotograph7297 Sorry you feel that way, But in does have benefits. Just because it might not work for you, doesn't mean it wont work for everyone.
I just received my second Tilta cooler and it also doesn’t work at all. Clicked on your video and you’re using the exact model Anker power bank I’m using. So these have horrible quality control. Looks like I’m calling them up again, this time for a refund.
Unless Canon have changed the internal thermal system to actually have heat passed into the plastic body, this fan won't do a damn thing. DIY Perks did a video on this issue almost a year ago, and fixed the problem. ua-cam.com/video/X1u-9YqrIJc/v-deo.html
the voice is not good.. edit your audio in 70% volume.. so when you export, customer have a choice.. to make louder... i dont have choice to make this audio louder..
Great review and test Zach! Happy to see this has become part of your kit!
Thanks! Maybe on the the next one we can work together!

Sería interesante saber si reduce el ruido en exposiciones largas de fotos nocturnas y también saber si hacer vibrar mucho la cámara .
Appreciate the review. Ordered mine a few weeks ago from China directly. My R6 overheats in about 35-40 mins when using 4k 24p
Thanks a million man for putting this together, definitely helps having someone with it on hand able to test.
Great walkthrough!
Thank you for the video, I think this would make a very nice addition, but not sure if it's better to just go with a Ninja V instead.

I already have a non Tilta cage that I really like so I wonder how it will fit.
I built a cage for it to fit with universal parts. but good question, I will be on the lookout for something that works all in one.
I wonder if you can adapt it to work with all kinds of cages 🤔
Just bought one and tried powering it up via V mount but doesn't work , does it only works with external battery like you used?
thanks for the review! May i know what is the temperature when you do the test? I also wonder what if you didnt perform cool down in the middle than we will know better how this tilta cooling kit can extend the video record time.
it was 75 degrees

Thanks, I hope i can keep making good ones.
I watched this whole video and still did not understand if the fan helped with cooling or no. Did it help or no?
Thank you Zach!

8V 5A?
Gaming phone cooler idea ?? 💡
Thank you!
I have a sony a7iv I can use it?
So good!
Hey man, have you tested this out in 4k 24p? I'd be curious to see how long that lasts!
Hey, how does it work in 4K 120fps?
you may have said and I missed it but was the fan set to 1 or 2
Was looking for this answer as well arghh. Hoping Fan speed 2 fairs much better

The mesurment of the screen on a canon r6(which i Think is pretty identyczny in this way to the r5) are 59/79mm
why does it have that sticky part?

You can make your own to fit
Thank you for the video.
How much more last when you set the fan at mode 2? Is noisier but really shows more cooling power
There is not that much of a difference between speed 1 and speed 2
Any chance of testing this out in 80+ degree weather? Its easy for the fan to make a difference in a room temperature environment. And these type of tests are meaningless for people like me who shoot in nothing but outdoors
I have been out in the field with it, and i can say it performs the same as in the testing shown in this video.

dang...this actually works lol
Yeah that is what I thought totally not worth the money 😂 thank you for showing it like that no one will feel in to the trap

Sorry to hear that! I have yet to have an issue, but if one comes up ill be sure to let everyone here know
If the heat issue is so great, it's a stupid camera then.
sad that we have to buy a fan and a battery to support a camera at that price - it seems noisy
this construction only seems to work with a Tilta cage. If you already own a cage it will be useless
Universal cages work as well

as you can see from the video. the fan does work. but yes it is not a full proof fix

fkkk canon selling problems at such expensive prices
This video is way too long.
Then skip through the chapters... and only watch what you want to know.
No it's just test videos its how they are these are not reviews but scientific tests in my opinion like a university lecture
