    Awesome video, exactly what I needed.
    For safety, after the black wire is connected I will be melting the shrink wrap in place so it is properly insulated before exposing positive wire (red). I'd worry if my hand slips while soldering the red that I really don't want things to spark off while holding a soldering iron. But that is just me personally.

    I just got some GNB A30 connectors for my fleet.
    Fun little term I learned from CiottiFPV for BT2.0 soldering. "Round is ground."
    This also applies to the A30 connectors. 😊

    I did the same think for my 1s 65 and 75mm whoops and 75mm toothpicks. I hear you on the price. but those tattu 300mah 1s are easily 45% longer flight time with no battier sag even on 0803 motors. you can find 5 pack for about $21. my gnb 380 hv get a 1 minute shorter flight time then the tattu 300.

      I hear ya. I don't understand GNB's methods. I actually did a video comparison of the lipos I have -old and new. I was scratching my head over the size difference. I agree that Tattu is awesome, it's the only brand I use for my sub250 fleet. Here's that lipo video, incase your interested...👍🏻🍻👊🏻

    • @propsoff
      @propsoff  2 роки тому +1

      This is a good question....
      I already had the BT2.0 connectors, they are half the price (at the time), and they are lite. However, the BT2.0 connectors are a pain to unplug compared to the GNB27s... I may try them after I deplete my BT stock...🍻

      Today i decided to change everythning from BT2.0 to GNB27. The very little pin spacing of the BT2.0 makes me fear a fire in my storage bag.... I also did a video about why we need a XT15 and XT45 and why the BT2.0 is very bad...

    I wondered why the bt2.0 was better.. I thought it may have been the type of wire they used... but it's just in the end? Interesting. But I still don't get it lol. It's just connecting the wires. Why better? But thank you for your videos. New in the game. And truly..you have helped.. alot.

    • @propsoff
      @propsoff  6 місяців тому +1

      I appreciate your support and feedback.
      The BT2.0 can handle 9 amps all day and up to 15 amps for 10 seconds due to its material makeup...🎉
      The PH2.0 can only handle 2 amps...🤦🏻‍♂️
      Today's high KV brushless motors' demands for current are high - the PH2.0 basically becomes a fuse at this point.
      Hope this helps you understand why it's more than just connecting wires...👍🏻🍻👊🏻

    Newbie question:
    ¿And you cant simply do a tiny cable converter with a female PH and a male BT connector?

    • @propsoff
      @propsoff  Місяць тому

      @@adrianr.8504
      This is a great question! No..
      The PH2.0 is rated for 2amps. Today's whoops are much more power hungry. Sure, a PH2.0 can run current higher than 2amps, but not for long. Heat starts to build up and it degrades fairly quick. This heat is going to effect flight time, ESC output, and even desyncs. I recommend not using adapters for this reason.
      BT2.0 can handle 9amps continuously and up to 15amps at burst. Therefore, it won't melt over a given number of flights... Hope this helps...🍻

      I have a video that you may like. I show how to flow solder. I show up-close the moment the solder flows to the pad. After you watch the video, the only thing to keep in mind is when you solder to a ground pad, you need a little bit more heat. The ground circuit will wick away the Iron's heat much faster than any other pad.. I appreciate your support and feedback...👍🏻🍻👊🏻

    I might try this. I definitely have a problem with the PH2.0 connectors. I know the male connector on one of my quads is bad, I don't want to replace it with another PH2.0 and have the same issue 2 months down the road. Right now when I connect a battery to the quad (depending on the battery) when I push the connector to the side the voltage jumps up 400 millivolts or more.
    Have you ever had an issue with the BT2.0 connectors?

    • @propsoff
      @propsoff  2 роки тому

      I have not so far. I don't know anyone (20+) that race whoops that are still using the PH2.0..
      Here's the one pitfall with the BT2.0, getting them to separate after the race is done. I find it a little difficult to seperate the male and female - I have to use my thumbnail, Lol.. I don't have intermittent voltage or heating up at all anymore, so that's good.
      If I was starting all over again (didn't have bunches of BT2.0 stock), I may look a little closer at the GNB27 connector. They have a little tab on the sides for grip....
      What's funny is, I literally just finished doing this process to 10 R-line tattu 300 lipos - giving them a go at this weekend's race. I'm excited to see if there's a difference in power. Cheap on Amazon if they have the little whip and PH2.0 - cut, solder, and rip for $4 each...😁

    just double check newbeedrone sell 5 packs of tattu 300mah for 19.99 so $4 each that's the only battery I fly now. if you race a lot these are probably lighter then those 380's and they will longer flights. I wouldn't pay $7 for them but 4 is doable for me.

    • @propsoff
      @propsoff  2 роки тому

      Yeah, I like the 380mah for my quads running 0802 motors. I've ran the 300mah, just not enough left in the tank to get over the finish line. Newbeedrone has them in a 6pk. Maybe when I go to an 0702 23,000kv motor the 300 will be best. Keep in mind, I'm still doing a great job of crashing every heat, Lol...
