These are cute and all. Microsoft, PLEASE enable a multi-user screenshare functionality!! 2 people's screens, side by side.
Couldn't agree more.
Great info, keep updating us and thank you!
Will do!
Sweet.
Don’t delete old messages. That search feature is key
exactly this.
When is the sync option going to be reinstated?
Great features. Really.
I'm just missing one feature. Since I was force-updated to the New Teams, I can't JOIN A MEETING! The same with others in my company who have been forced to use the new Teams. And don't let me start with notifications...oh boy. So maybe, just maybe, Microsoft should fix bugs with BASIC functionalities before working on fancy stuff like annotations. Just saying...
Is there a reason why a good majority of my fellow Co workers can't see gifs on the new teams but shows when you switch back to the old teams?
Hello Mike, help is needed. Please show how to switch the tabs of Edge or other browsers that are hidden behind presenters mode. It's very annoying at the moment
Hi Mike, thanks for all the helpful videos.
I'm looking for a bit of help.
When attaching a OneNote page to an assignment, I used to be able to select the page from the Teacher only section of the OneNote and place it in each student's class folder. In the last month I have not been able to do this.
When I click on the option to attach a OneNote page and it asks me which part of the class notebook I want to get the page from, I select the teacher only section but it gives the impression that it is loading the pages from that section but they don't load. I've tried from various devices but encountered the same problems. Any ideas on what the problem may be? (Any help gratefully received 😊)
Can you file an EDU support ticket at aka.ms/edusupport?
@@MikeTholfsen Thanks for the link
Can forwarding a message from a meeting breach the confidentiality/ permissions of the members in the original meeting?
The Teams administrator settings will limit how this functionality will be applied. In conjunction with the overall M365 and Azure set of roles, policies and permissions.
I would like to see a function for education to preview a student post before allowing it to be posted. Microsoft doesn’t assist teachers with inappropriate comments. I can only delete it once it’s been posted.
Any improvements to notifications? Between laptop and mobile it's a mess. Unreliable.
The hiding gifs emojis etc in a pop up then a see more is unnecessary added clicks, when first appeared on my client I thought gifs had gone rather than just been hidden away. Any chance you’d fix the “what’s new in Teams” modal pop up that is illegible if you have Teams in a dark mode, and in a chat hit enter it will send you first have to move to the text box or you just make a title, more added clicks to make a quick post! Inconsistent posting experience that bugs me is if you are making a chat message you need to shift enter, enter will send it, to get a new line but in channel posts hitting enter is carriage return so you have to then click the paper plane to send it.
We would be much more likely to want to add a file than an emoji or gif. We're business users not children. Do the developers actually use this software?
The AV settings changes are a HUGE improvement.
agreed
It’s amazing to think that Zoom Meetings have had the audio/video dropdown options for almost a decade, and it’s been so convoluted in MS Teams up to now, which has been an absolute pain for me, as I frequently switch between audio inputs and outputs.
Some of these new features are unnecessary. I noticed that I no longer get notifications whenever someone status changes.
2nd, as if that matters. Did I see this correctly? Mike uses MacOS?
No, Mike needed a short demo of the Annotations features toolar popping up and someone else internally had a Mac and recorded that segment for me :-) My screen capture couldn't recorded the little overaly toolbar properly so I phoned in a favor!
@@MikeTholfsen hahah was a little surprising to me. Not wanting to put shade on MacOS but uhm... shade on Apple hahaha. Love the update videos btw Mike. Been keeping an eye out for your content and it's great to see MS not only sharing but also evolving and and centralizing their landscape.
Still hoping for useful (assign/timing, ... ) subtasks in planner though. O.o Guess I gotta be patient and not get greedy :p
am I the only one that still hoped for creating subchannels in a channel?

"everything else is behind the plus"... yes, so it makes multiple clicks to do the same thing as one in the previous. What is with Microsoft doing this lately? It's the same as the stupid combined wifi flyout in the taskbar. Multiple clicks to do the same crap
It’s because many folks didn’t use most of the buttons and would find 10 buttons in one small dialog overwhelming
