Hi there Marz, no we didn’t add any MSG into this dish. We find that adding a little sugar is good enough to bring out the ‘umami’ of MSG in this Chilli Crab. We do enjoy MSG in our cooking at times! 😋😋😋

Hi Shimi, thank you for your feedback. Sorry for the late reply. We did use 3/4 cup each of tomato and chilli sauce (perhaps the video editing made it look like less). However sometimes the intensity of the sauces vary depending on the brand used. We used Maggi. Our mum Anne suggests that if the sauce tastes too sour or ‘tomato-y’, then you can adjust the flavours with a little bit of sugar and salt. Alternatively, don’t add all the sauces at one go. Add in small amounts, according to your personal taste. Hope that helps. Take care 💗
