This brings back a lot of memories for me. My grandparents had a legend II. As a kid I was really into vacuums and theirs was always one of my favorites. It was what also made me a big Kirby fan. The Legend II was their primary vacuum from I'd say 1990 until they both passed away in 2018/2019. I had planned to keep it, but now I can't remember what happened to it, something happened, and I ended up not taking it. Kind of wish I would have now. Your video brings back memories for me of being at their house and spending time with them. When I got out on my own and needed to buy a vacuum of course I had to get a Kirby of my own. My first was an Ultimate G Diamond Edition. I traded it in a few years ago when the 100th anniversary edition Avalir came out, which is what I currently have.
@@paintedbird oh wow! That’s quite a history with these machines! The Legend 2 was one of the last great Kirbys in my opinion and has since become one of my favorites as well. Thank you so much for sharing and thank you again for watching!
Great machine you have! Those are rare, definitely. I once had a Legend with the 13-inch nozzle and all of the attachments and shampooer. Those nozzles come in handy for smaller spaces.
Oh that’s cool! Yah I love this one because even though it’s not a ton of weight, it makes the machine feel so much lighter and with the power of the Heritage motor, it has a lot of power :)
Do you ever find Kirby vacuums in the trash? Have you ever came across a Dyson in the trash? That’s interesting that they offered a smaller nozzle for the Legend II.

Love the collection. If you want that plastic bag holder to hang straight, use some channel locks and bend the metal hook a bit. Works great

Yeah, the Heritage series, especially the Heritage 2-Legend 2, were some of the best Kirbys ever produced. @@Konstellation_Karl_55
This is what my mom had growing up but with the regular nozzle
That’s awesome!
Does this Legend II have the shaved headlight cap for the 13" nozzle, like with your 1982 Heritage that has this same smaller nozzle?
Yes it does! Thank you for watching!
@@Konstellation_Karl_55 You're welcome.

I haven’t ever found a Kirby in the trash yet, but I have gotten many for free over the years. I have come across a few Dysons in the trash though
