True. Dimash totally commands the stage. I saw him live in New York at the Barclays. His concerts are incredible. There are lights, dancers, band, incredible back up singers, instruments you have never experienced before and yet.... you find it hard to notice them too much if he is on stage. Please check out El Amor En Ti. It is the first song he did in Spanish complete with 4 Dimash's on stage. 3 of them are projected, one is real. You hear his baritone, his tenor, his soprano and his pop all at once.

Here’s a version of SOS that I was able to hear personally at his Brooklyn’s Barclays concert on December 10, 2019. If he is singing in the north part of the building, then I am recording from my seat in the southeast part of the building. The audio is awesome. The gentleman who helped me put together my Dimash website, had to use his UA-cam channel to post it to my website. I thought you might like to hear a concert version. Pandora has about a thousand people doing S.O.S. I believe it's an opera related song, which American people are not used to hearing. ✔️ it out.
This is a very famous french song from a 1970s rock opera called "Starmania". This song has a tragic history. The original singer, called Daniel Balavoine, had an impressive range himself (he went as low as Dimash does and not as high, but he also went up in the alto register), that’s why it’s known for being one of the hardest french songs to sing. The singer only had the time to interpret it once. A few weeks later, he died at 33 in a helicopter accident. One of the most famous singers who sang this song after him, Grégory Lemarchal, had cystic fibrosis and died at 23, 3 years after his performance of SOS. So it has a pretty heavy background not only because it’s a sad song in itself, but because of the legendary performers who sang it.

I love that you were appreciating his mid range (which I consider to be the best part of his voice) .
If you want to hear more of that in a song he composed himself using more vocal dynamics instead of using his massive range then I highly recommend his latest song Omir. It was Dimash's gift to his Dears on his 29th birthday and it's probably the most beautiful song he's done yet.
I've seen more than one reactor surreptitiously wiping away a tear during that song.

Dimash has changed my UA-cam channel and my life! lol. I first reacted to him about 2 years ago and I have enjoyed every minute of it! So MANY great ones to react to! For more vocal gynastics try "Opera 2", (Russian) a favorite of mine, "Stranger" (English), "Sinful Passion" Oh, MORE vocal genius- "Diva Dance" (I prefer the 2017 competition version combo of "Confessa/Diva Dance". It's from the movie "The 5th Element". It's the song the blue alien sings. it was recorded in studio by famous Opera star in parts and edited together so that no "human" could sing it, until Dimash! He does hit Whistle notes in "Across Endless Dimensions"! He is so talented and just a humble guy who cares about the world and people deeply. He is a big fan of Michale Jackson, and Jackie Chan! Second, this song is really cool for several reasons. It is one of the five most difficult French songs ever written in terms of the vocals. This is the song that made him famous overnight when he performed it as the opener on season 5 of the Chinese singing competition show, "Singer", in 2017. He was a wild card, the youngest contestant ever on the show until then, and only the second non-Chinese contestant up to that point. you must be invited to compete, and he was not really known outside of Kazakhstan at the time so when he sang this it shocked everyone! He has since perfected his performance and it has become a calling card for him.
This performance is also special, I think, not only because the digital aspect makes it unique to his other performances but this was during COVID so it was a bit of light in a really rough time all over the world.
Definitely check out more because there's a lot to see! Personally I (and many Dears) would recommend staying away from his pop songs and "Story of One Sky" until you have a good working knowledge of him holistically. You just appreciate those pieces more when you can invest in what they are because you truly appreciate Dimash on every level. Generally I suggest the following order: "SOS", "Stranger" at New Wave, "Opera 2" (watch the extended version with English subtitles), "Unforgettable Day" at Gakku, and "Sinful Passion" with A-Studio. From there you can safely explore any piece and really truly love it!

All of them are his real voices, and yes, he is very real. He is just amazing. People say he is an alien, of course jokingly because his range is almost inhuman. However, if you have spent more than 3/4 of your life training and studying, and being totally dedicated to your craft, maybe, anyone else would be almost as good.
