On our Duet, the F11 error was due to an intermittent 3 pin connector to the MCU. I re-positioned pins and sprayed off the terminals with Deoxit. Now it runs like new. Thank you very much for creating this video with emphasis on the harness connectors, you probably saved us $250 in repairs!

eSpares my problem is that i fill the washer with clothes, pick the program and start it. When i start it, there is NO water coming in, the motor goes twice for a couple of seconds and puff.. the f23 comes on.

There can be different codes even for machines made for the same 'markets' but the codes quoted are the 'commonly used'. E01 can be a draining problem and F03 can be a pressure switch related error so if you are getting these it suggests the machine is 'expecting' the water to be completely drained but the pressure switch is 'reporting' water in the drum. I have a F06 Error and it's not a motor brushes ( they are practically new! ). I've hear in your video @ 4:23 that there is a "Tacho Coil" that might be damaged? Should I check electric resistance of a coil? Thanks in advance.
F06 error is no feedback from the Tacho coil. When this normally occurs the drum would start spinning very fast as the motor is powered then slow and stop as no feedback was received. If the drum does not spin that is the reason why no feedback (F06) is displayed and that would be a drive problem.
eSpares funny thing is that the motor won't start at all?! After taking water the machine just stalls and F06 error pops up. That's why I'm worried that it could be MCU or even CCU which is in my opinion not worth fixing.

Hi The Mimi' s, F28 is a communication error between the boards, try this Unplug washer or disconnect power. Check wiring harness connections to the MCU, the motor, and Central Control Unit (CCU). - Check connections of the CCU board within the housing. - Make sure all grounding switches are engaged. Check that the serial harness at the MCU is not mounted upside down. The wires should be to the left when facing the MCU connectors. Check the drive system for any worn or failed components the plug in the washer or reconnect power.

The only option that I have is to touch the start (play) button but in this case I have a random program shown and It happens nothing. Hi Michel, the code is generated because the fill sequence is taking too long, check the pressure switch hose that runs from the tub to the pressure switch as this can cause the problem.

Hi Chris, without a model number we can only give general advice. It is usually easier to lower the machine on its side and access from beneath as shown in some of our other drain pump videos.
hi, I'm getting a 5d error code, I cleaned drain out an found some debris. ran the machine in quick cycle an still 5d error code at the end of cycle, I repeated 2 more times same result, I then proceded to run the clean cycle with bleach and still 5d error code at end of cycle. Hello, I have a whirlpool sports 6th sense. It's washing fine but lately I have noticed that loads are going on for far too long. On rinse cycles the water often has to fill to a higher level so will take longer. Sounds like the water flow is just enough on the wash cycle but too slow on the rinse so check the 'tap' is turned on full.
When you say F9 error code check for leaks inside the machine I'm not sure how you would do that? I'm getting the F9 E1 error code and the system is not draining. I took it apart and there are no clogs or plugs at all
All modules and PCB's can fail. Before suspecting this just confirm the machine is filling and starting a wash cycle?. Also try a spin cycle. If F08 appears immediately before the cycle starts suspect the sensor or the board.
Well. I checked the connections of the water supply and cleaned them out. Then checked the dispenser compartment for clogs.Massaged the hose just in case a blockage was there. None. I didn't check the solenoids because I don't have a meter. Pressure is ok but still getting 3 beeps. The major is filling up to proper level of water. Water pressure sounds good. I cut down the hose on the back so water would drain properly. Still no good results....HAve anymore Ideals?

Hi Pablo, error code F33can suggest to multiple issues related to it, check the water supply first then the pressure switch for holes in the hose and the flow meter is functioning. test the pump with a multimeter and if all that is ok then it is likely to be control unit, good luck.

Hi Emmanuel, This will depend on the machine and as you have not given a model number I will try and give information that may help. Generally if the machine can work it will show the following (50/60hz) on the 'rating plate' where the model, serial number and voltage information is listed. If the machine uses a 'mains voltage pump' it is likely to be upset by supplying the wrong mains supply.

Hi Kathy, F11 is a communication error between the control board and the motor board, try checking the connections to both boards are making direct contact.
Run a short cycle on a hot wash and check if the water is showing signs of heating. if it is suspect the temperature sensor if it is not check the heating element.
Hi Richard, use a flat blade screwdriver to lift the retaining band off the door seal then you can pull the seal away from the cabinet, there should be screws at the bottom of the panel holding it on and just lift it up to release and take off.
@@eSpares the rubber is stuck on the fron panel. That comes loose. There's a screw on the machine part but I'm afraid that when i take that of i never going to put it back anymore. The rubber is to tight.

My son just moved into a beauriful town home on the water but so many things are not working properly such as his whiirl pool side by side washer and dryer. The washer works horrible. Everytime he attempts to wash a load of clothes an area code A-09 comes on. He cant open the door and the only way hes able to is if he puts it on the rinse and spin cycle. Which is time consuming and not only that the electic and water bill is going to kill him. Thats one of the issues here that the electric bill is so high tenants have actually moved out.
Hi Denise, error code A09 is the machine saying there is a water inlet problem, your son needs to check the water supply and make sure there is water getting to the machine.

Hi Lisa, although we have tried to make this a comprehensive list manufacturers will occasionally add another code. We believe this code is related to a motorised dispenser. The detergent dispenser has several compartments to allow pre-wash wash and conditioner to be loaded at the correct time. To do this it will 'divert' the filling water to the correct compartment. If the motor is jammed or if the control board is not receiving the feedback it will show this error. Check nothing is jamming the motor or flap.
Ok help...model wfc7500vw2...getting an F07 code....I think itis the control board....no matter what cycle it will fill/drain and spin, but near the end will stop and display F07... I tried the Drain/Spin cycle and it is a 18 minute cycle...it drained, spun slowly, then spun VERY quickly numerous times then with 1 or 2 minutes left it would display f07. Would you concur that the control board is the issue?
F07 can either be a motor problem or a control board. Before suspecting the board check the carbon brushes for wear and the connections to the motor are not damaged or loose. For more information see our video: ua-cam.com/video/MNInJd7js5A/v-deo.html
We cannot tell you how to check if a control board is intermittent, but you can easily check the motor brushes and connections. If the tacho winding has a poor connection when the board tries to turn the motor it will not identify any rotation. It then increases to maximum for a moment before shutting down in case of damage so this may be what is happening.
Got a Whirlpool IFW700 that displays E then 920. The display alternates between the two. The fault/error isn't even in the user handbook what could it be please?
Hi Gunnersightzerod, it may be showing 2 error codes. E9 refers to the motor control low voltage detected so get the mains electrical supply checked, E20 is the control relay for the motor faulty so check the wiring between the motor and main board before suspecting anything else.

I have a whirlpool Dual Tumble Fresh 4.0 and normal load goes through to last rinse cycle then shuts down and three beeps continuosly. The CE error is indicating the control panel is not 'communicating' with the control module. Check the connectors are clean and tightly fitted onto the modules, if these are OK suspect one of the modules.
So I tested the element and had no reading on the meter. So I decided to buy a new element and replaced it today ...the washer is heating up again and it works however I still get F08 as an error code even tho it heats up the water. Do you have any idea why? Please don't tell me it's the thermostat that will take another 4 days for delivery and it's more expensive then the bloody element 🤦🏻♂️
Hi Arkuda, try this we found 1. turn off the washing machine and unplug 2. press the start/pause button for at least 5 seconds 3. plug the washer back in and hopefully, it has reset, if not it could be a malfunction in the board.
So I took it apart again checked for continuity and it all seemed perfect. Managed to get into service mode and then it said F13 🤦🏻♂️as if I don't have enough problems lol. However F08 was gone from the service mode ... Test was successful door did look and unlock without a problem tho ... So decided to do an empty 15 min cicle and what do I see at the end of it ... F08 flashing with the service light 🤦🏻♂️ I am so frustrated

The Error I get is LF when the cycle attempts to drain in any cycle. We have to press the Power button at which time it drains itself. After the washer drains, the power shuts off. We than move the knob to Rince, and press the Power again, and Start. The system will rinse and drain. We've replaced the Flow/Inlet Pumps with no resolve. Also someone else with similar issues, same error code, replaced his MCU with no resolve.

Hi CAZNTUBE, if your display is blank you need to check you have power so unplug the machine and plug something else in the socket to see if it works, test the fuse and use a multimeter to check from the plug to the board.

If there is no display screen on the machine? Hi .. I have Kenmore He2 with no display screen to check the error code. What it does is ... When I start the machine nothing happens and it unlocks and then it locks back in after few seconds .. Then the water fills into the drum to an appropriate level and then the drum spins once and stops for a minute or 2 then all lights starts flashing after few minutes it drains the water and unlocks the door. I cleaned the drainage filter and also could hear a little squeeking noise when I rotate the drum by hand although the drum is rotating freely. My Machine vibrates like hell when on high spin. Kindly share your expertise.
Hi Ayush, you did not give a model so I can only give general advice. DE usually indicates a door error, check the door closes correctly and if it reoccurs suspect the door lock. Error FE is usually a filling error. Check the machine fills to the correct level in the right time (about 1 Minute), check the water supply tap is turned fully on.
Hi Salim, F08 is indicating a heater circuit fault. This is usually the heater itself, but can also be the wiring or even the control board. If the heater measure's around 30 ohms and the wiring is in good condition it could be the control board.

Tip the machine to 45 degrees to see if water is in the base. Some machines have a flood warning and allowing the water to run out may start the machine again.

Hi Eclipse Hydro, on some models whirlpool use 2 error codes which reads F5 E2 which refers to the machine has detected an error with the door not locking correctly so check the door is closing properly, make sure the connections to the lock are OK before suspecting the door lock.

Hi schakal325, first test the element because if that has failed it may cause the water valve to stop, if that is ok then suspect the pressure switch.

As previously described no motor rotation no feedback so ignore the F06. If brushes are OK it must be either a connection or a faulty power board.

I have a Duet steam model wfw8640bw1 about 3 years old. The power button no longer works and when I try to start a load the delayed start is displayed after holding start buttons for at least 30 seconds. I have to try several times for the cycle to begin. Suggestions?

Hi The Mimi' s, F28 is a communication error between the boards, try this Unplug washer or disconnect power. Check wiring harness connections to the MCU, the motor, and Central Control Unit (CCU). - Check connections of the CCU board within the housing. - Make sure all grounding switches are engaged. Check that the serial harness at the MCU is not mounted upside down. The wires should be to the left when facing the MCU connectors. Check the drive system for any worn or failed components the plug in the washer or reconnect power.
Hi, I have a Whirlpool Supreme Care FSCR70414 and when power on it displays a code "dEn" (that "n" is like an "U" upside down, so maybe "dE17"). The only option that I have is to touch the start (play) button but in this case I have a random program shown and It happens nothing. Hi Michel, the code is generated because the fill sequence is taking too long, check the pressure switch hose that runs from the tub to the pressure switch as this can cause the problem.

hi, I'm getting a 5d error code, I cleaned drain out an found some debris. ran the machine in quick cycle an still 5d error code at the end of cycle, I repeated 2 more times same result, I then proceded to run the clean cycle with bleach and still 5d error code at end of cycle. On rinse cycles the water often has to fill to a higher level so will take longer. Sounds like the water flow is just enough on the wash cycle but too slow on the rinse so check the 'tap' is turned on full.
When you say F9 error code check for leaks inside the machine I'm not sure how you would do that? I'm getting the F9 E1 error code and the system is not draining. I took it apart and there are no clogs or plugs at all

Well. I checked the connections of the water supply and cleaned them out. Then checked the dispenser compartment for clogs.Massaged the hose just in case a blockage was there. None. I didn't check the solenoids because I don't have a meter. Pressure is ok but still getting 3 beeps. The major is filling up to proper level of water. Water pressure sounds good. I cut down the hose on the back so water would drain properly. Still no good results....HAve anymore Ideals?

Hi Pablo, error code F33can suggest to multiple issues related to it, check the water supply first then the pressure switch for holes in the hose and the flow meter is functioning. test the pump with a multimeter and if all that is ok then it is likely to be control unit, good luck.

Hi Emmanuel, This will depend on the machine and as you have not given a model number I will try and give information that may help. Generally if the machine can work it will show the following (50/60hz) on the 'rating plate' where the model, serial number and voltage information is listed. If the machine uses a 'mains voltage pump' it is likely to be upset by supplying the wrong mains supply.

We believe F21 is a drain error and will occur if the machine takes too long to empty. Unplug the machine and wait for two minutes to reset. Then check the drain cycle and make sure the machine can empty . If it takes a long time see our video:

How did you remove the front ? The rubber won't come loose from the front panel
Hi Richard, use a flat blade screwdriver to lift the retaining band off the door seal then you can pull the seal away from the cabinet, there should be screws at the bottom of the panel holding it on and just lift it up to release and take off.
@@eSpares the rubber is stuck on the fron panel. That comes loose. There's a screw on the machine part but I'm afraid that when i take that of i never going to put it back anymore. The rubber is to tight.

My son just moved into a beauriful town home on the water but so many things are not working properly such as his whiirl pool side by side washer and dryer. The washer works horrible. Everytime he attempts to wash a load of clothes an area code A-09 comes on. He cant open the door and the only way hes able to is if he puts it on the rinse and spin cycle. Hi Lisa, although we have tried to make this a comprehensive list manufacturers will occasionally add another code. We believe this code is related to a motorised dispenser. The detergent dispenser has several compartments to allow pre-wash wash and conditioner to be loaded at the correct time. To do this it will 'divert' the filling water to the correct compartment. If the motor is jammed or if the control board is not receiving the feedback it will show this error. Check nothing is jamming the motor or flap.
Ok help...model wfc7500vw2...getting an F07 code....I think itis the control board....no matter what cycle it will fill/drain and spin, but near the end will stop and display F07...
I tried the Drain/Spin cycle and it is a 18 minute cycle...it drained, spun slowly, then spun VERY quickly numerous times then with 1 or 2 minutes left it would display f07.
Would you concur that the control board is the issue?
F07 can either be a motor problem or a control board. Before suspecting the board check the carbon brushes for wear and the connections to the motor are not damaged or loose. For more information see our video:

We cannot tell you how to check if a control board is intermittent, but you can easily check the motor brushes and connections. If the tacho winding has a poor connection when the board tries to turn the motor it will not identify any rotation. It then increases to maximum for a moment before shutting down in case of damage so this may be what is happening.

Hi Gunnersightzerod, it may be showing 2 error codes. E9 refers to the motor control low voltage detected so get the mains electrical supply checked, E20 is the control relay for the motor faulty so check the wiring between the motor and main board before suspecting anything else.

eSpares. Whirlpool tech called round today. He said "Motor and Motor Control Unit. Probably the MCU but, the MCU and motor come as a set". Now got to wait for Whirlpool to call with a quote. The thing is only 20 months old and it hasn't been used much because I have been away sorting personal things out.

The code LF means long fill so check the water is filling the machine correctly and the water supply is fully on.

The CE error is indicating the control panel is not 'communicating' with the control module. Check the connectors are clean and tightly fitted onto the modules, if these are OK suspect one of the modules.

So I tested the element and had no reading on the meter. So I decided to buy a new element and replaced it today ...the washer is heating up again and it works however I still get F08 as an error code even tho it heats up the water. Hi Arkuda, try this we found 1. turn off the washing machine and unplug 2. press the start/pause button for at least 5 seconds 3. plug the washer back in and hopefully, it has reset, if not it could be a malfunction in the board.
So I took it apart again checked for continuity and it all seemed perfect. Managed to get into service mode and then it said F13 🤦🏻♂️as if I don't have enough problems lol. However F08 was gone from the service mode ... Test was successful door did look and unlock without a problem tho ... So decided to do an empty 15 min cicle and what do I see at the end of it ... F08 flashing with the service light 🤦🏻♂️ I am so frustrated
Hi Arkuda, you have obviously tested the components correctly so we can rule out the element, it does suggest that the only thing left is the board.

The Error I get is LF when the cycle attempts to drain in any cycle. We have to press the Power button at which time it drains itself. After the washer drains, the power shuts off. We than move the knob to Rince, and press the Power again, and Start. The system will rinse and drain. We've replaced the Flow/Inlet Pumps with no resolve. Also someone else with similar issues, same error code, replaced his MCU with no resolve.

Hi CAZNTUBE, if your display is blank you need to check you have power so unplug the machine and plug something else in the socket to see if it works, test the fuse and use a multimeter to check from the plug to the board.

When I start the machine nothing happens and it unlocks and then it locks back in after few seconds .. Then the water fills into the drum to an appropriate level and then the drum spins once and stops for a minute or 2 then all lights starts flashing after few minutes it drains the water and unlocks the door. I cleaned the drainage filter and also could hear a little squeeking noise when I rotate the drum by hand although the drum is rotating freely. My Machine vibrates like hell when on high spin. Hi Ayush, you did not give a model so I can only give general advice.
DE usually indicates a door error, check the door closes correctly and if it reoccurs suspect the door lock. Error FE is usually a filling error. Check the machine fills to the correct level in the right time (about 1 Minute), check the water supply tap is turned fully on.
F08 error appearing immediately before any cycle or rotation. I checked the heater and it is not open circuit. Can you help me please.
Hi Salim, F08 is indicating a heater circuit fault. This is usually the heater itself, but can also be the wiring or even the control board. If the heater measure's around 30 ohms and the wiring is in good condition it could be the control board.

Tip the machine to 45 degrees to see if water is in the base. Some machines have a flood warning and allowing the water to run out may start the machine again.

Hi Humza, it means the machine has detected an error on the inlet valve so start there but be aware it could be caused by the board.

What do I do if I get two codes. The codes are F05 and E02. Don't want to spend a lot of money for no reason
Hi Eclipse Hydro, on some models whirlpool use 2 error codes which reads F5 E2 which refers to the machine has detected an error with the door not locking correctly so check the door is closing properly, make sure the connections to the lock are OK before suspecting the door lock.
