Thanks for watching hope you get a laugh at my misadventure 😜🤣, Please leave a thumbs up and don't do what I do ,Keep the shiny side up , Cheers Pete 🍺🍺
Sometimes, simple is just right. Getting back to the basics of touring and camping is good for mental health. Makes me appreciate how much I don't need to complicate my set up. I'm surprised you survived really. You don't have $20,000 worth of essential lithium solar set up!
Hi mate you are so right, I love basic camping , I do a bit of hiking so cut the gear in half again, and get home safe and sound , When I first came to Australia ,I toured Queensland on a SR500 for nearly 2 years loved that time sleeping on the beaches
Glad you enjoyed the ride , I think I need to think things out before taking the plunge some times but what the he'll you only live once and are along time dead , cheers and. Keep the shiny side up
@@peterhewitson71 yeah, I know what you mean, I get myself into strife like that on my DR 650. I try not to go too crazy out on my own and usually ride with my mate. I just put a In Reach on order, just in case. I'm 63 now but sometimes I forget how old I am lol.
Great video Peter, I often do Sappers as it’s pretty much my back yard but that hill is definitely a challenge! Full credit to you tackling that not only solo but fully loaded ! Braver than me mate!
Good old sappers road, people who haven’t ridden it and only watched it on YT probably don’t realise how steep it is but if you keep left on the 1st bit you had trouble with and keep some momentum you should be good, previously I used to take the right side with a killed motor and using the clutch to help slow down but the left is def better
@peterhewitson71 I was watching most of your videos because I was trying to find the one about Lake Mears as I'm heading there today for a good relaxing rest. Cheers love your work Bev
Beautiful ride and drone shots. What are u flying these days Peter ? Did not quite hear what u said. P. S. Was hoping to see Chubaka come out of the Falcon😂😂🤪. The path way was quite rough!!!!!! Like the fact that u did not try and edit out the falls. Certainly hope u are ok, but it was all part of the adventure.

Good to see that you got out ok, and that you eventually found your gloves.
Don’t ride without gloves.
Yup never again , will keep them on my hands so I know where they are 😆 🤣
Take care mate! We don't bounce like we did back in the day!
You are not wrong there , I clunk rather than bounce these days 🤣🤣
Wow 🤩 that’s so cool 😎
Cheers Brian , a lot of fun on that trip
Great episode Pete 👍👍👍Good to see you out on the bike again with some simple campn 👍👍👍

My big problem is my legs are to short and the ruts are to deep , cheers for the advice but that is one ride I don't think I will repeat
@@peterhewitson71 no probs but if you ever want to have another crack reach out and if I’m free I’ll bring the drz up and we can tackle it together
