@@GabrielVargaOfficial Also I think action before punching is important, eg how much does he telegraph before the punch, which he seems to be good at. His body stays upright, so hard to see him loading up.

What's even crazier about Ryan's hand speed is that Ryan even uses a unorthodox technique were he flairs out his shoulder and then whips his punch in with a ton of torque and potential energy that he converts into kinetic energy. It's very unique. It's not perfect but it's a very unique and impactful tool

Gabriel I'm very surprised for a fighter that's very defensively orientated that you didn't mention once how Haney does not bring his right hand back to protect his head. That is the reason why he got the first knock down. And why after every job that Garcia landed a hook hit Haney squarely.

Great vid as always and Ryan is truly fast but At 2:30 you missed a minor detail that Ryan did a switch step with his legs to land that hook; not with a stationary hand; and this makes it much faster to land than with a stationary foot.

Great Video, the fight pretty good just had alot of holding.
The truth is Devin was there to box, Ryan was there to fight. Ryan brought the fight to Devin and Devin kept trying to box him.
That hook is hyper lethal
Man Garcia is fast, like at the beginning of the round his hook landed less than a split second after Hainey's jab landed on Garcia and yeah I definetly thought Devin will this but Ryan definetly surprised me and thank you so much for explaining to me the Garcia philly shell Gabriel overall this was an awesome fight and an amazing breakdown! 🎉

Craziest thing to me was Devin getting whooped in some Essentials x Fear of God cotton shorts. I thought those were fire too but not anymore.
With the speed of the hook also don’t forget Ryan Garcia is wearing a boxing glove which adds weight. That makes it even more impressive while boxing gloves aren’t super heavy. It still slows you down.

Haney's fatal flaw was when he extends his jab or even overextends with his hook he tends to drop/pull his rear hand from his jaw, against a person who specializes in left hooks your jabs turn into a liability especially when Ryan post up with his jabbing hand and he had to do was wait and turn and counter.
The ref did warn Garcia about turning his back.
One of the fastest jabs you've ever seen and Garcia countered him on it will his signature hook.
Says a lot about Garcia.

When Haney throws his right, instead of his left staying to gaurd against the counter, he draws his right hand back exposing his face. Garcia saw this and exploited it.

The reason why he wasn’t as effective against Tank is because Tank is southpaw - and Tanks a better fighter.
Devin has been chasing everyone. Ryan really hasn’t been fighting the top people.
Garcia caught him with that first hook because Haney has a bad habit of throwing a jab and not bringing his right hand back up to his face. That was the mistake he made. And everybody talking about Haney not being the fighter that everybody thought he was is just nonsense. Nobody ever said to Sugar Ray Robinson when he lost a fight you're not the fighter I thought you were. Losses happen, get over it already.
Yep such a good matchup for Ryan, he has the size power and speed to hurt basically anyone his size. He capitalised on haneys bad habits whether he meant it or not. Loses happen Haney will go and work on his flaws and come back better I’m sure. He’s a hardworking young man with a lot of things to learn like the rest of us. People nowadays are just stupid. Ryan Garcia's left hook is no different than any of the professional fighters left hook. Haney does not bring his right hand back to his face quick enough it's usually by his neck or his chest by the time the other person punches. And if you look at that first punch that's exactly what happened. We can all talk about Haney and his recovery. But none of us but Gabriel know what it's like to be hit by professional.
