That was the first Always Sunny scene I've ever seen. Achievement Hunter were singing the song in various Let's Plays back in the day so I finally searched for it and after seeing it decided to give the show a chance.

Dennis is the worst, but as seasons go by you realize he is the most interesting member of the gang. What I like about this show, is that their trauma and their reasons for being awful always come back but if you get lost in the joke you miss them. Loved that Aaron, the dad, was the one to decipher Charlie's lyrics.
I truly don't get how we're this far into the series and they're STILL hopeful of the gang making a good decision😂. I guarantee once you let go of that hope, the show gets so much funnier
It’s not that. In order to not laugh at a joke one would have to not only see something wrong with it (because there’s plenty of that in the show at which they laugh) but also believe that the “group” being mocked needs your defense. See, an open bigot believes certain groups are lesser, and they accept it. Most ordinary people also believe certain groups are lesser, but they reject it. Fundamentally, both accept the same premise - that one group is worth less than another. One accepts it and flaunts it like an ass, the other rejects it and represses himself. They are the latter. This should not be mistaken as a dig at them. They’re great guys, I’ve been watching them for years and will continue to do so. However, I feel I have to point it out because most people are in this state and they miss it their entire lives.

Charlie Day actually sung Dayman live as a guest singer for Portugal. The Man and it is amazing. If anyone hasn’t watched it yet, definitely check it out

So an interpretation of the Dayman song, later given a little credence in some of the episodes is that Dayman is Mac. Charlie has had a pretty dark life and Mac being very clearly one of his only friends as a kid (and his best friend in some episodes) and Mac's wannabe badass persona makes him a "Master of Karate" Purposeful? No clue, but it is kinda nice.

I can relate to this episode because I myself had a scenario where in the first week I started, uh, noticing things.. Began asking myself, “Omg. Is he? Holyyy shieeet 🚨🚨🚨 You need to find out NOW before anyone finds out or just break up with him now. You didn’t even think this was serious you thought it was just a drunken joke on a Ferris wheel!” But I swear he had spidey senses because EVERY time I was about to break it off, he’d start gushing about how happy he was and blah blah. Ugh. Motherfucker made things tricky. I don’t think he was, but he could’ve passed. But he was just like this 8:45 What was I supposed to do? 😅 So when I saw this episode the first time I gasped at the title card like “Omg, RELATABLE!!”

In season 1 the only person who would acctuly laugh was the 1 person who had already seen the show 😂 these guys are very sensitive. I can relate to this episode because I myself had a scenario where in the first week I started, uh, noticing things.. Began asking myself, “Omg. Is he? Holyyy shieeet 🚨🚨🚨 You need to find out NOW before anyone finds out or just break up with him now. You didn’t even think this was serious you thought it was just a drunken joke on a Ferris wheel!”
But I swear he had spidey senses because EVERY time I was about to break it off, he’d start gushing about how happy he was and blah blah. Ugh. Motherfucker made things tricky. I don’t think he was, but he could’ve passed.
