So adding spacers makes the air compress and resist compression quicker. This would create a shorter stroke and harsher ride would it not?

Does not create a shorter stroke, just ramps up more through the stroke. Less linear

What does this do to the feel at the top of the stroke? Does it feel plusher or can you run less pressure for a plush feel?

I found that you can run a little less air but it definitely has a more progressive feel

It will not be plush and will most likely limit the bottom out or travel lets say you do trail riding if you have 3 spacers you will feel harsh feeling. If you jump and do high drop 2-3 spacers are required
