Saw this tour in Oklahoma city. We didn't know if it was going to be canceled or not because of 9/11. It didn't though and me and my close high school friends all went and it was a life changing experience for me back then at age 16. I fought my step dad in my mind at this show. I also remember hearing A Perfect Circle for the first time at the show.
Man, I fuckin wish I could have experienced the Knot back in their hayday. I got to see them recently and it was a life changing experience for sure, but the Iowa Era was my absolute favorite Era from them. Their music and them as a group were so brutal, so angry, and so driven. They put everything that they had into putting on an amazing performance. And I'm glad that the show didn't get shut down for you, man. I'm glad things worked out the way they did. When I was at the show I went to here in Milwaukee, I went into the pit fighting my real dad in my mind. I know how that shit goes man. But its an amazing feeling being able to release all of your hate and anger at a show to music you love.
Yeah man, tshirt and hoodie prices were still pretty steep back then. But if you think about it, all of that merch money goes back to the band. It helps them maintain themselves on the tour. It helps them eat, it covers gas, it covers water/other drinks that they need etc. So, even though prices were/still are pretty steep, at least you know that your money is going towards the band.
