An American of Indian origin here, I have lived in Bangalore - it is a potpourri of all things India. Glad you guys had a chill night out, but as in any major city anywhere in the world, there is good and bad (But mostly good). Taking advice from the right people about right places, right times to be is important. Have fun.
I grew up in Koramangala and this stretch of Koramangala has been like this for the past 12 years or so, staying in Europe now I miss my home city Bangalore/Bengaluru 😊
Wow! Bangalore's nightlife is indeed like a nocturnal carnival where the party animals swap their stripes for neon lights! So good to reminisce the time when I was there for our TV show.
@@kabir_pathak Naw, what makes Bangalore Bangalore is not the fact that it's open late into the night. If that's what you're looking for Go to Mumbai/Delhi perhaps? There’s no literally no other city in Asia that has as many pubs which garners a lot of people that love partying. You've probably been hanging around the wrong people but oh well that's on you. There's a bunch of locals that do dislike non natives but that's primarily sparked by people from the north that flood Bangalore for it’s Job market and then act entitled to Hindi whilst putting in zero effort to learn the local language. Be a roman when In Rome kinda thing. Definitely not Bangalore’s fault, it's clearly your experience. I love the city.
What I mean is that perhaps at some point it was a great city, but in its current state (i live here currently) its a place that : 1. Promotes drinking/smoking. 2. There is discrimination - like it or not. 3. Autodrivers have formed a cult. Can't go from point A to point B without spending 2-3 times the regulated fare. 4. Pollution is rising ofc. Water crisis is currently rampant. 5. Terror is rising. There was a bomb blast in Rameshwaram Cafe recently. I don't want to make this a Hindi/Kannada debate. Thats mostly a political move to garner votes. But even if you ingore that one thing, there are so many other things that prove that Bengaluru isn't what it used to be. Just as bad as Delhi, i would say.

John - You are correct, but Bangalore has Asia's top 3 pubs which can accommodate above 1500 people at a time. I am from Mumbai, Bangalore night life in pubs are too good. They are huge massive pubs.
Yes Purple Haze in Koramangala next to Jyoti Nivas college lane was a different vibe. Getting drunk there and then dunk ghee rice and Grill chicken at Empire ❤❤. Miss those days
There is a Nexus Mall in Kormangala, next to it there is a Liquor Mall called Tonique. In Tonique you should buy an Indian wine called Fratelli Sette. You should also try Fratelli Sangniovese. This Indian wine company is created by a bunch of Italian and Indian brothers and their wines are on par with many Tuscan wines
i have lived in bangalore for 7 years n it's not the most welcoming city for North Indians. But one is gonna definitely love Bangalore if he/she is having friends to hang out or has a partner, otherwise u might find urself like a lonely soul just living to earn money cos there nobody cares if u r in trouble. WORK HARD, PARTY HARD is the mantra of daily life.

But this is "modern" entertainment 😉. We also have "traditional" forms of entertainment. Different types of music, folk dances, theater acts, bard singing, art & cultural traditions, etc. You can see them at "Bengaluru Habba" or in Mysore Dasara if you're going to Mysore in mid October. I'm sure you'll find it different and interesting. Every state has its own forms, or if you are already in North India, don't miss it. Some of them go on all-night long, so they are like night clubs 😁!

Did my college studies in Benglur and my first jobs, 2 decades back. It was much less congested then..had half the population. Was a great city for students with good weather. But not well managed by the local govt, like most cities in india. The local government is very mediocre. But kannada people are good and welcoming
For me, night life is non-existent in Bangalore. I stayed for more than 6 months in Bangalore. I have seen much better night life in Pune-Mumbai reason is it's not just about Pubs, if you venture in Bangalore after 10:00 for dinner apart from Pubs, you possibly can sleep without food. Everything closes down post 9:30 stores, Shops, Ice cream parlours etc. In Pune-Mumbai if you are hungry at midnight say 12 am you will not sleep empty stomach. Many places with street food, ice cream, sufficient Medicals, some snack shops, local train, fair trasportation cost the auto wallas will not empty your wallet etc. Bangalorians unfortunately have no idea what is night life.
If you are in india don't forget to go kolkatta durgaa puja(nine days godess Durga or Kali worshipping day of Hindus).. famous whole over world, there is festive season all over India...you have came india right time.
in the modern day people has become Western influenced by the name of developedment. Bhutan is the only exception which is developing but still has its culture intact.
Nah man, as a Bangalorean who relocated to Delhi for 15 years and then unfortunately relocated back to Bangalore, I would say Delhi has a better night life any day. Better places, larger places, more choice, more choice in alcohol (less expensive), better food, better looking people (until they dont open their mouth ahaha), Open till late unlike Blore ; But new blore cant compare, the city has lost its charm of the good old neighbourhood pubs and its replaced with trashy Gen-z (dress like slobs and bums) catered places plus its open only till 1:00 am on Fri-Sat. Rest of the days things wrap up at 11 and thats a major buzzkill. So go to Delhi, or Bombay even and be amazed at the true Party hotspots of India.

In Pune-Mumbai if you are hungry at midnight say 12 am you will not sleep empty stomach. Many places with street food, ice cream, sufficient Medicals, some snack shops, local train, fair trasportation cost the auto wallas will not empty your wallet etc.

Nah man, as a Bangalorean who relocated to Delhi for 15 years and then unfortunately relocated back to Bangalore, I would say Delhi has a better night life any day. Better places, larger places, more choice, more choice in alcohol (less expensive), better food, better looking people (until they dont open their mouth ahaha), Open till late unlike Blore ; But new blore cant compare, the city has lost its charm of the good old neighbourhood pubs and its replaced with trashy Gen-z (dress like slobs and bums) catered places plus its open only till 1:00 am on Fri-Sat. Rest of the days things wrap up at 11 and thats a major buzzkill. So go to Delhi, or Bombay even and be amazed at the true Party hotspots of India.
