I Underestimated This Tank For Years?! || Object 685 in War Thunder

- The Object 685 was a proposed replacement for the PT-76. It competed with two other designs, namely Object 788 and Object 934. The project's notable requirements were to develop a vehicle with a maximum combat weight of 15 tons, armed with a rifled 100-mm gun, an 9K111 "Fagot" anti-tank missile system, and a 12.7 mm machine gun. The project's protection requirements included anti-nuclear features like automatic sealing and air filtration capabilities, and the ability to withstand up to 23 mm AP rounds. Object 788 was disqualified for not including the 9K111 "Fagot" anti-tank missile system, trench-digging equipment, and a water-jet propulsion system. However, both Object 934 and Object 685 managed to pass the initial design evaluation, suggesting that they showed promise despite lacking certain components. It is likely that these designs were later taken into consideration for modifications and improvements to incorporate the missing criteria. Nevertheless, the production was eventually abandoned because they were unable to garner enough interest to continue. Still, later Soviet AFV designs made extensive use of many of the components and design solutions found in Object 934 and Object 685, showing that their potential was recognized and put to good use.

Such low profile turret as well.
Downside like most Russian tank, lack of barrel depression.
2:16 Prigozhin commander moment
very nice general
In my opinion, you play well on any tanks, even on such backward ones as this one.
GG
Would you run in a King Tiger again just because...
King tiger?
Ammo in the back though...
Object 435
How can you quickly request the target distance? What are the settings?3:26
Do you mean the range-finder? Or how fast it is, if so later tanks have laser-rangefinders which are way faster then older vehicles and if not you can bind the range finder to whatever you want🙂
Its a laser range finder
Là, c'est sûr,un bon pc c'est excellent, pour moi, j'ai un vieux pc et c'est compliqué, images saccadées,lags et j' en passe, très compliqué de jouer surtout contre les premuims.,.. trop de différences..,
Premiums aren't better than the normal tech tree vehicles, if anything they are slightly worse as they'll lack shell types or upgrades. Their big perk is merely the experience and SL boost.
As far as the old PC well save up some money and work on upgrading.😊
Very nice never-fielded never-produced soviet OP tank...
Who cares, its a game? If you're so into historical accuracy you can play simulator battles where only "historically accurate" vehicles can be played.
@@Mico605 As you said but it's not what the game's advert says...
"More than 2500 planes, helicopters, tanks, warships et other very detailed fighting vehicles that have been carefully recreated from historical documents and existing sources for more realism."
A prototype exists and that has always been enough to warrant addition to the game. Seethe harder
@@lapantony The prototype has no fire control, and no NBC equipment... So how does it fire ? Like WW2 russian tanks with painted crosses on the binocular ? It was never fully constructed. And if it is a reason, some are quite unfit to function properly, just as the ob 279e
@@dargaard93 Who cares. The game is not realistic in the slightest. Unless you tell me we can just lower the 'graphics' too make it easier to see people in real life and also clip tank barrels through cm's or metres of concrete, rock and steel. No infantry, limited artillery, small combat groups, circles you sit in to 'capture' something. Not too mention you fight over the exact same locations with tanks ranging from pre-ww2 to 2024.
Make it make sense. It's obvious the advertisement is bull and that the country they reside in has no false advertisement laws and most likely does not care anyways.
