This anime really flew under the radar. It seemed like no one was talking about it, and the animation quality was not anything amazing, so I came into it not expecting much... I was shocked how much I ended up liking it. The appeal is hard to explain, but for mid 00's-era shoujo fans like me (think Peach Girl, Lovely Complex, etc), the tone of the romance somehow feels a little nostalgic? It doesn't do anything super groundbreaking, but it executes the concept in a way that's really sweet and satisfying. I think because it had the misfortune of airing right before the fall season of 2023, which had a really stacked lineup of shows - including Apothecary Diaries and Frieren - it sort of got forgotten. Definitely worth a look though, if you've run out of things to watch or you're waiting for something to air. Its a good, solid shoujo, which is hard to come by these days.
