The end of "Liar's Love" by Title Fight is another good one, as it leads into "Dizzy" Songs that end with the band getting ready to play the song coming up after are really special.
this would have made a good closer to the album too,, it has that all encompassing feel to as as if it ties everything together, i feel like objects in space and this song are equals
That's probably why they made those two songs the last ones in the album. I personally feel like Objects in Space really brought the album to a slow, good ending. 🌸
This is creative and very poetic. You just need to dig a little deeper in these songs. The meanings aren't so obvious in these songs. Like this song: Jordan uses the snowstorm to show how it was a moment in his life that was frozen and how he was stuck in it. Also, "I was the only person up in the neighborhood," shows how he was the only person in his neighborhood that had this problem from what he said. The verses all support of the chorus, "I felt ashamed that I stayed in my head, in the same place for so long," and "I ignored all the hands that extended before and around me." But, that's just how I interpreted this song. Jordan uses the atmosphere -- the snowstorm, the silence in the neighborhood, and him being alone after the storm -- to show his inner turmoil and how he wanted to be free of this snuff-like feeling.

Also, the album being cohesive would be a good thing, not a bad thing. Not sure what way you intended to use the word. Second, Yes, this album is a lot less wordy and metaphorical than their previous stuff. However, they're progressing. You're looking at this from a flawed point of view. The previous La Dispute work could be looked at individually (song wise) and would tell such a vivid, powerful, deep, and emotional story on it's own (especially in Wildlife). This album is different. You need to look at it as a *whole*. Once you do that, I promise you'll see the creativity and beauty in it. The first time I heard this album, I was a bit underwhelmed by the lyrics, too. But as you keep listening, all the peices start falling into place and you really notice underlying themes and some serious, deep structure. And as Bryon said, you could interpret the songs individually and find deeper symbolism and meaning in it too. The songs seem to be more personal and less epic than Wildlife, but to call this "not creative" or "cut and dry" is just small minded. Or, if you're just being a troll, please refer to the following. *TL;DR:* It's a lot more creative than you think. Additionally, try not to be such a dick with your opinions.

Seriously dude, like listen to any song on rotholcopter, and listen specifically to one thing this time since you seem to be unable to see a clear picture here. Say the drums for example, it applies to every area tho. I can feel the butthurt from here. rotholcopter could be accomplished by a 12year old, and tbh if the 12 year old had add it could have been even better seeing as the album lacks any direction or creative changes. while all their previous work is crazy complex, articulate, and colorful. I'm involved with playing allot of music and junk, their old work is like tasty, tasty crack especially to those that spend allot of time practicing or exploring with an instrument or words. Rotholcopter is like a bitch that used to be intelligent, and attractive, but the smoked to much of said crack, now she's losing her teeth and hair, and can only carry on boring, brainless, foreseeable conversations.
The live version they just released on their bandcamp is flawless. This has become my song of the year and one of my all time favorite La Dispute songs. In other words, 9 months ago, I was more right than I have ever been
