Thank you so much for this! I have a difficult time sewing a project with the pattern alone. The tutorial is super helpful! Love your fabric choices too.
Thank you for a good video. I enjoy hearing your thought process. A couple of my own thoughts, for what they are worth. - Having sewn with Peltex, headliner, foam, etc., I like craft felt by the yard as a sew-in/glue-in stabilizer. I haven't run a cost comparison in a long time, but it was cost effective. - Since this seems to be a beginner-friendly project, I'd point out that bag making isn't in the category of speed sewing. The needle has to have time to penetrate all layers, form the stitch, and raise again. If you go too fast, that process won't complete, and you'll get skipped stitches. Recommended 90 or 100 needle. - Re camera angle, you're fine. Just work on the left edge of your table, not the right. I appreciate your time and attention to detail. Helps me know if I want to try this pattern. Thanks again. Great job. Kay in Dallas, Texas
Thank you, Angie! I really enjoy your videos, I love watching your thought processes. 😊 I'm making bags but top zippers always mess with me. Your instructions are always very clear. Thanks again!😊
I absolutely loved your tutorial! And your choice of fabric was really lovely as well. I am definitely adding a zipper to my bag when I make this one! I'm thinking about adding D rings at the top to make a crossbody strap instead of handles (or make the handles quite short just to grab the purse in addition to the d rings). And I'm wondering if the lining needs to be partly top-stitched near the zipper? So it doesn't rise up and get caught in the zipper? Thank you so much for making this tutorial. 😊
Shorter grab handles paired with a crossbody strap is a great idea! ❤️ Including the lining is definitely an option when topstitching the zipper. I don’t typically have issues with it bunching and getting stuck in the zipper but it might depend on your lining fabric choice?
Love your fabric choices. Video is helpful especially for me as a beginner bag maker. I’m used to making simple totes, and girl size dresses and quilts. So bags is a new venture for me 😊 The one thing that’s overwhelming me is all the different hardware materials. This bag only includes rivets which is a good start for me. Where do you get the rivets?
Good trick with poking the corners of the interior zipper pocket to make sure they're crisp! Where did you get the exterior grey canvas from? I love it!

Wonderful video. May I ask what thread you use?

I usually get my rivets (along with most of my hardware) from MyHandmadeSpace.com and MoreMeKnow.com

Thanks! I think I got it at Joann’s, but it’s been a really long time
