Finding a Guru (Dhrupad, Rudra Veena, & The Guru-Shishya Tradition)

Hi there:)
I wanted to make this video to give my personal thoughts and experiences relating to the Guru-shishya tradition & how I’ve come to study Dhrupad on the Rudra Veena under my Guru Madhuvanti Pal. I’m still getting used to making these UA-cam videos and becoming more comfortable in front of the camera so the video may be a little rambling. I am currently working on making more focused videos with a better production quality. But I hope this video may possibly help inspire someone who is curious about this ancient tradition and learning this music, as I have found having a Guru is honestly essential to learning Indian classical music in any serious sense.
Today is the 85th birth anniversary of Pandit Manilal Nag, father & Guru of Vidushi Mita Nag. Sending all respects & best wishes to this great musician and his family on this special day 🙏
