Her eyes are as beautiful as when she was born, miss these original artist. Today anything and any body can be an artist, thx and thank you LENA LOVICH for original music, look and everything.
Lene, You was very much apart if my teenage and young adult life. Always loved you and your music. Unfortunately we must have all had to grow and leave you so we could live our boring mundane lives. Oh so sorry we abandoned you like that! My wish is that you release your new music on C.D, so that us oldies have some manageable way of buying you music. Promise, that like us, you won't grow old too gracefully. You are and will always remain a legend!
Love Lene's music, and from what I've seen and heard from her in interviews, she seems to be a very genuine, intelligent, and unaffected lady ... She is very good to watch in this clip ... Wayne
Her voice is so delicate and gentle, kind and gracious. There's a sweetness that's leavened with a certain edge, no doubt coming from decades of experience in the music and entertainment industry. I never really put much stock in her; was only familiar with "Lucky Number". While I don't really see myself bridging past that, I do like how well-informed and soft-spoken she is. Lene knows who and what Lene is.
Lovely comment. And for further Lene, I suggest "Sleeping Beauty" and "New Toy." You might like them as much as "Lucky Number." Her cover of "I Think We're Alone Now" is also terrific. Cheers, Jordan.
I was lucky enough to see her in 1983 when she was touring for "No Mans Land." It was a great concert, the record was doing, well, getting lots of airplay, and at the dance clubs. Hope to see her again someday. One of my favorite singers of all time.
2019. I did get to see her perform at The Lexington in London last month!! The show was fantastic! Her voice is as strong as ever and she had a great backing band!😄
Update. I got to see Lene again in London about 3 and a half years ago (just before Covid). GREAT show. She had a awesome band . (Les was not the guitarist.) It was also great getting to see her in England!
Yay for Lene. Lucky Number rocked my world when it came out and I totally fell in love with her. We could probably do with a lot more people like her who are not afraid to be different.
Lene, if you are reading this, never forget that you have millions of fans around the world who love and respect you. You and Les are the best! Now please get off the computer and start working on a new album;)
I LOVE this woman. I'm so happy she is making new music. It's fun to watch her older clips. Sometimes she looks gorgeous, sometimes ridiculous, but ALWAYS amazing! Keep it up, dear lady. Create whatever music makes you feel joy. No record label pressure, to be something else. Thank you fro coming back to us.
Andy Anderson ! wow what a super personality ! What a wonderfull personality Lovich is . No bitterness about life , or beinga star for a moment or not having friends in school as a youngster . We're from the same planet she says about Nina Hagen . wow ! wata beautiful person ! when you can't figure it out You just make a noise - wow ! A musical philosophy . "I really wanted to in music . she decorated the stage ...I'm still doing it (he didn't confuse her principles whether it was dubbing sounds or dancing on stage ) How can a person achieve so much and be so humlble . she's Chrissie Hynde deep down withut the Sinister I'll Crush Your Balls Persona . Lene knows what's she about . The onstage persona is fun for her but listen and look . she is focused and knows what and how to get it done . I will never lose my fascination for this wonderful and so WISE woman !
I had a really big crush on Lene when Lucky Number came out, and it's just come back! Radio 1 used to have a show called Star Special where a star would play an hours worth of their favourite or most meaningful songs from their collection. I still have a tape of Lene's show, fascinating choices and interesting introductions to them. As Giddy says, a lovely, intelligent and articulate woman.
remembers me Bizantine crazee Princesse Mouroussi in Ortodox Eglise a la rue Maru .Paris...great Yves (her son)¡ :-)) great song the best with SPARKS of 80's
I used to LOVE! Lene Lovitch, I was 13 years old, that particular noise and voice had too much to do with my taste in music ever since, in art in general, I ow to her my alternative way of living and my poin of vew, thank u, I am proud to be a former punk Brujafrik, Uruguay South America
She has Indian DNA. 🧬 🇮🇳She belongs to us. Always Was, Always Will be an Indian woman. And we love her, and we’re not gonna let her go. It doesn’t matter where in the world she is, she is always with us in spirit. 😇🙏
I just found this on my wall thread as a suggestion and my first thought was vampire like then I read that I already have said that about this video in the comments. I meant it as a friend and community. She is romantically beautiful and I have to say that about Lene Lovitch. She is wonderful and I hope she knows that I was trying to let her know that. ✌🌹
I watched her perform at the Ritz nightclub in Manchester a couple of years ago...as a support act! Without any doubt she was utterly brilliant especially compared to the lame main act (Psychedelic Furs).
'I'll always be close to Nina [Hagen]... you know, we are from the same planet...." Priceless. She is absolutely brilliant.
Loved Lene since the late 70's...Listening to her records was always reminiscent of the spooky fun house ride at a carnival.
She is quite a kind and gracious person. Beyond talented; magical.
I am very glad to say that our 8 year old daughter is very into singing "Lucky number" 💚💛❤
Now THAT'S good parenting, if you ask me. ;)

I was crushin on her after seeing the lucky number video some thirty years ago! thanks u tube.
Still a great beauty, tinged with grace.
that's cos she got sent to England when she was 13. She has a middle class East Yorkshire accent.
There is NOTHING about her accent that is Yorkshire!
she was BORN in detroit and grew up on the east coast of england
It was destined to become a vampire movie, for her, pretty as always.
Lest we forget Lene
i think her mom was from yugoslavia. that may have affected her speech. but she lived in teh UK for many years, i believe.
I love her music! She's freaky and wild. hehe
Holy Shit!!! she is from Detroit?
Is this the same Andy Anderson that played at Disco 2000 in the early 90's??
Yep!
A very nice, pleasant lady, I had tea with her in the 80s , delightful person.
How cool is that? Lucky you.

Is she wearing eye-lenses?
She grew up in Detroit!
i first heard her on KROQ way before there was ever Vh1 pfffft
the pollinator and the wild bee and the hooverfly are important.
How does a girl who grew up in Michigan end up with a British accent?
Bjorn Holm Her parents moved to England when she was a kid, and then her Dad ran off. She stayed....for good.
nice lady
When was this interview made?
She looks the same as she was in the music videos.
For someone brought up in Detroit, she certainly picked up an English accent when she moved over here very easily.
the host is a good sort
Gee - thanks! Years later! ;)
