I've been saying for a long time the Classic guys need to put on more size and Wesley did just that compared to the others. So happy for him.
Wes can do that because he is taller so he is allowed to be heavier.

I will be honest, seeing how amazing and full Wessley looked, made Hadi’s boxy shape uneventful. He truly was the biggest thing in the Arnold.

Olympia referee and promoter, Tamer El Guindy, gave an interview to a Brazilian live broadcast with 100 thousand people. He said that Ramon lost the previews by 1 point due to having regressed Olympia's physique and Wesley's shocking evolution. In the finals, Ramon came better and they decided to rejudge the category and even then they thought it wasn't enough for Ramon to win. He said that if Ramon had replicated Olympia's physique he would have won, but now that he lost, it leaves room for Wesley to be compared to him and Cbum as one of the favorites for the 2024 title.
@@pedroguimaraes6094 Ramon was overconfident and quite arrogant in this year's AC. He even started prepping 6 weeks before the show. He probably thinks that since he won last year's AC and Olympia, there wouldn't be much of a competition and Urs would be the only one tailing him (which isn't gonna be significant enough to threaten his placing anyways). He overlooked the other competitors.
@@dimactavicus Actually he affirmed in a video that he was insecure and only started to become confident in the last days. I thought he was pressured to compete by his sponsor.

WHAT A JOURNEY. I remember he joined Nick and Strength Power UA-cam Bodybuilding Competition named Mr.Golden Era back in 2017... he was a young youtuber who wants to represent golden era physique and HE MADE IT. he got what he deserved for all these years of effort. I proud of you WESLEY.

Breon had a great run but his time is simply done. He was the better guy against young guys who weren’t quite there yet. Time passed and all those young guys caught up. He will continue to place until he decides to be done but i dont see him 1st again in deep lineups.

Finally!! I always like Wesley and hoped he would win. He has an incredible physique!! He certainly deserved it.
Finally they decide to reward the guy with the best upper body. When people think of classic many think back to the golden era and the massive upper body
I mean Wesley's quads and calves are wonderful nowadays, it's really just the glutes and hams that are behind. But fuck that, awesome package by Wes today!

I'm still a big fan of Urs. He's 100% professional. And Wesley just came out of no were. He's biggest weakness is his V taper and a bit more leg size. But man, he's got the frame to be champ.
I think his legs are good. The golden age guys had slightly larger upper bodies than lower, and I think that's right.

A Young Arnold was the same height as Urs BAREFOOT and now Arnold looks up to a barefoot Urs while Arnold's in shoes. It's amazing how many inches of height he has lost over the years. Almost 6'2" down to 5'10".

I'm gonna be honest i'm so disappointed the way arnold treated wesley. This kid idolized arnold. When it comes to Arnold's posing . The only reason wesley's in the body building is because arnold. Then he disrespects him and says oh , it was a big upset and then walks off stage. I'm sorry I love body building But arnold was such an arrogant dick it makes me sick.
That was not disrespectful at all. On the contrary. He praised his physique saying it reminded him of Lou, who is one of the all time greatest. And then recognized it was an upset, meaning he also recognized Ramon had an amazing physique, and then he left the stage for the contestants. He respected the judges decisions.
How was any of that disrespectful?? Should he have hung out longer and made it about HIM? Should he have said oh you beat everyone by a mile because everyone else sucks?
(Also, Arnold has a dry german sense of humour... they are notorious for having a bad sense of humour and Arnold is no exception. He has just about zero charisma. That's the beauty of life.. some people have other things going. Arnold had an amazing physique and insane work ethics and competitiveness. But a baaaad sense of humour.)

Glad that someone mentioned this. And the way he "compared" him to Lou Ferigno was 100% intentional way of putting him down.
He is aware that Wesley idolizes him, and that everyone does compare two of them. By no means he could aknowlege anyone to be compared to himself. And instead of giving Wesley the praise, he literaly said "you aint never gonna be like me kid", by comparing him to Lou.
And knowing how Arnold treated Lou back in the day, it's clear as day what the underlaying message was.

What he said was no insult Lou ferignos physique is certainly one of the golden age of bodybuilding best. Classic physique means something and they rewarded a modern day classic physique in Westley Visors.
