Man this is very encouraging! I'm in my first year of my weed control and Landscape business. I was always wondering why some weeds still hung around as I was expecting them to all to completely die within a couple of applications 🤦🏿♂️but you made me realize that it's about the whole process of slowing the weeds down and ultimately killing them! I appreciate this video!
If you understand the process, then I think you’ve made great progress on that yard. Especially since you weren’t able to get a pre emergent down in January.
Hey jason...every considered a different set of yard signs for new Customers? Looking forward to seeing the updates on this. Its always nice to see the progress and that bermuda really took off and filled in. Next spring that yard will take off and fill in completely for sure.
Good thought on the yard sign. I haven't really thought of that. Honestly, I don't care too much if my yard sign is in an ugly yard. I hope people will see the transformation
sc. i dont have a weed problem in the back yard. i just have lots of bare areas. I've tried many things. scarify, seed, fertilize, added potting soil , it just dont grow
This lawn, before it, is what my school lawn always looks like, or at least old school, I still trim it and mow some of it, but I can’t do anything about the weeds because I don’t have the equipment to do so.
Hey Jason - I’m curious. For extreme transforming lawns like this do you ever tell your customers that they can go to a big box store, grab a 2-gallon pump sprayer and weed control concentrate (like BioAdvanced or Spectricide) and spot spray crab grass and some of the other seasonal weeds that will persist throughout the growing season? I can understand that you may not want the customer to get in the way of your work (or even risk losing revenue by them trying to take over), but I can see a benefit to you both by letting the customer get to the crabgrass before seedheads develop, which provides more real estate and nutrients for the Bermuda to fill in sooner, rather than later. Most lawn care services in my area seem to want to keep their customers fully dependent on them for lawn management instead of educating them on where they can help themselves and you in the process and learn how to take care of their own lawn.
@wftyler9680 good point. I would prefer that they not get involved because I don't trust most homeowners with their lawn. If they wanted to be involved I would be happy to recommend to them what to do. I think it's important to communicate though so that they don't spray a pre-emergent right before I spray a pre-emergent and then we have a double application which is not good. I think it would be a very small percentage of homeowners who want to have any involvement if they are already paying a company
Your awesome... BUT!...BUT!!!... Dont call a customers yard ugly, its still theirs...whether a child, car, home or yard its never ugly!....I had a pool resurfacer look at my patio and pool and said well people with ugly pools like this are limited .... I said see ya, another nice kid came and looked and was like, wow this isnt as bad as i thought why dont we just do this and this and youll have a resort.... I did and ive been happy for the last 9 years since!!1..... Thanks for alll ur info

Great job with that lawn! Looking forward to it next season
That is tremendous progress in one season! I like your transformation videos like this one where you explain your thought process.
The progress is awesome! Good job!!
I LOVE these transformation videos.

Hope we can follow this lawn through next year.

Looks like my neighbor's yard. I've been battling his weeds all summer, trying to get his Bermuda to fill in.

Whats up Guys
My new backyard is rough as well, pre-emergent and weed killer to help fix it hopefully. Seeding next summer with more bermuda

In eastern NC my local store recommends Balan 2.5 granules as a pre emergent, have you used this and would it be as effective as prodiamine?
Jason what can I use to spot spray on centipede grass to get dallisgrass ? I watched till the end ….awesome job you kicked butt 🇺🇸

What part of Alabama are you in ? My yard looks a lot like this …. I’m in the Birmingham area …
I hand pulled all the weeds from my lawn as a joy.. until I got to the asian Ponysfoot. Can’t stand it. Can’t kill it.
It’s not difficult 😢
Too bad it hadn't been mowed, probably would have looked better.
