You’re so lucky to have these native to the US! I’d stuff myself every day when they’re in season and freeze the rest!!
Pete, thank you for what you do... you're work is so important! I am an American who has lived in Europe and I have been a follower of your work for many years. The most important insight I gained from that part of my life is how Europen peope understood that local farms are the lifeblood of the people (...though many of those farms are now beginning to disappear). When flying back over US towns it was astounding to me how isolated Americans have become from the foods that sustain them... there are hardly any local farms anymore. I feel you are helping remedy this by aiding individual families to become more sustainable... and with the grace of God I pray your work will expand outward from individuals, to neighborhoods, to communities and beyond. I wish you unbelievable success in your endeavors and God speed your efforts Pete! Thank you.
Thank You!!
The excitement i feel when i see a new video with Jim is off the charts! 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Same!
This is great just love to watch Jim.
Maine is so beautiful! When I was growing up, I loved picking blueberries at our cabin there. Thanks to you all for sharing this awesome content & great ideas! 🌱
I don't even like gardening, but I watch every Video with Jim.
Yum 😋
Thank you for this content.
And the bucket around the neck is an amazing way to gather. I never thought about it :D
I use large yogurt for my picking basket just like Jim.
@@janew5351 I couldn't help but save a few of those heavy quart soup takeout containers, thought they'd be good for a few things, nest compact empty, far more durable than the yogurt type. Probably last yrs.
Jane W In Quebec we use a rake about the size of a hand but with more fingers
always a pleasure
Lots of sweet fern out there too! Another wonderful, fragrant plant.
I am actually impressed by the vast amounts of lands u guys have ❤️
The blueberries are on logged areas that belong to either the government or logging companies
Love it Pete! So awesome
Thanks! :)
I love, love my memories of Wild Blueberries in the Summers in New Hampshire at my grandmother's.
Fascinating Pete…old school returns.
Awesome Jim K in Maine
Love these videos with Jim 🤗
Thanks, pete!
Epic! My gf was just hoping you'd go to Maine to show what Jim does up there. Watched the other vid too 🤙
Thanks for the support!
Absolutely amazing ! All the wild foods out there! I really love your channel and watch when you guys are in Florida. I live in N.Central Florida. Never been to Maine, but always wanted to go.
Wow these bushes are so low to the ground!!! Must be a majestic time there if raspberries are ready at the same time!!! My hometown has 5' avg blueberry trees. It's the taste that matters indeed!!! Bluebeery muffin breakfast and Vegan chez steak chanterelles sandwiches sounds like heaven on earth!!! Enjoy!
a good little show
I love blueberrys. They have a high nutritional value.
Just picked a heap today in northern Wisconsin. Annual tradition for sure.
Love finding wild food
Love jim and your vudeos with him!
Thanks! 😊
Thanks for the video
Cool place!,,
Jim provides us with wild bodacious blueberries here in the Banana Republic of Florida- spring, winter and fall. Some go to the Tarpon Springs FL CSA/ food coop I belong to - upon his return from his summer in Maine. Makes for an amazing breakfast of granola, yogurt and the blue gems he brings back!
I Love it watching your show I'm new .
Welcome!!
Those look nice, I never have tried blueberries , I'll have to do that.
Dang! You are missing out.
jim got the best knee EVER...3 sec and i would be bawling for advil and ice
wild blueberries are the best
love what you guys are doing😎💪
Yummy! My sister has that right outside her small town in the middle or Sweden. Wild blueberries are just so tasty and some are tart and make the greatest jams and juices if you get sick of eating them fresh. We also go and pick chanterelles in the fall and they are really expensive if you can get them in the store. Nature's pantry!
Yum! 😋
Cool, gotta make one of those dangling picking bucket things. Love repurposing plastic containers.
Picking gear are so eye catching...
I missed the notification for this video. Fortunately for me, it showed up in the recommended when I watched the baling video.
You have to hit that bell so you get every notification. UA-cam likes to play games
@@PeteKanarisGreenDreamsFL I hear you, Pete. About every two months UA-cam decides to stop sending me notifications on random channels and once un-subscribed me from Townsends, which is probably the channel I'm most active on.
That wild patch looks the same my land looks like, totally overgrown. Well, I spend 6 hours today mowing it. Now I can finally see what I own. Beautiful.
But I have no blueberries :(
We need a Jim channel.
That's what we're here for 😉
my first farm job as a kid was picking high bush blueberries for 15 cents a pound. It was a lot of work for 15 cents.lol
