- Samarth Kulkarni, CRISPR Therapeutics CEO, joins 'Closing Bell Overtime' to talk winning FDA approval in the U.S. for sickle cell treatment in partnership with Vertex.
For the past ten years the science and technology of this company and all of the gene editing companies should be the biggest headline on the news.
They’ll wait till big money is in then it will be lol
I hope/wish CRISPR Therapeutics would make a deal with the Broad Institute!!!
It's time to put our differences aside and work together!
At this point, it should not be about IP or money anymore, but more like a gift to humanity!!!
Everyone can win if we make a system where everyone gets the money they deserve and need to do the work.
It's somewhere between not taking any money at all and price gouging.
I'm sure if politicians had any incentive to work on a legal framework, a fine tuned variant of maybe profit caps as a company and salary caps to employees inside medical management roles and leadership like being a ceo. Just cap the income of all workers inside medicine to x5 times national gdp per capita. So maybe around 250-300k a year, and since it's dynamic, if the economy grows, the medical salary will also grow. or maybe base it on gdp per capita of the city. So a very productive city with like 80k gdp/c is allowed to have a salary of 400k
BEAM therapeutics already works with them
New era for CRISPR.
Good to see you here too Hassan!!!
I'm anywhere where CRISPR is!@@captainamerica1221
Buying 10k worth
We talked about this
2.2 million? Are you serious
What is the cost to get this treatment?
Only 2.2 million dollars
Oh nice that is only about as much as I will make in my entire lifetime.
Officially they haven't set a price for the treatment yet! 2.2 million was the price it cost to treat the patients during clinical trials. The first patient was Victoria Grey in 2019. The price might be more or it might be less, it all depends on the government and the insurance companies.
You forgot to mention the $2mm cost to patients for this treatment
So?
We are greatful to God.
NHS are gonna pay for it!
Omg gene good news
Estamos cerca de la cura del VIH???
It's sad that you have to be a millionaire to receive this cure.
not for long
Why always talking about investors are patients not more important?
Göz hastalar koni distrofisi tedavisi için insallah geçerlidir 😢🙏🙏🙏❤
Omg good news 😂😂😂😂😂
Bluebird Bio ✅
Yea no that company is old garbage
Bluebird Bio is different, it does NOT use CRISPRcas9.
Think it this way, Bluebird Bio is like "Motorola Dynatac 800X" (first mobile phone) and CRISPR Therapeutics is the first iPhone!
