the polyamorous post reminded me of an even that happened last year in my friend group. an actual love triangle formed. not one where two people like the one, or anything else like that. Person A liked person B, person B liked person C, and person C liked person A. it was hilarious to watch them run in circles for at least a week before figuring it out, and just all getting together

Once in middle school i was riding public transport to go to our school's mandatory badminton/shuttlecock extraculicullar activity, that day i got left behind by my friends so i went by myself and apparently took the wrong short bus and got carried to the next town over, needless to say my dumbass not being able to pick the right bus the first time forced me to walk back by foot and that made me miss that mandatory activity
There was also a time that i also walked back home by foot (which was bassically a 6 KM walk) because the short busses fleet are doing a boycott because share ride services been taking all their customer (and the bus drivers are kinda having a riot and by that time had killed one motorcycle ride share driver by running them over twice-forward and backward)

Listen I was not expecting Scaramouche and now I'm both amazed and afraid
So I can speak to this from experience! On the "Exercise/diet/etc cures depression", it CAN help sometimes. The problem that some people face, myself included, is that often times your body/brain won't let you. When you're struggling to pull the sheets off of you and pull clothes onto you, you can't exactly go out and jog for three miles. When you're having to use all of your energy just to survive, you don't have the extra energy to exercise or plan your nutrition. That's why it can be such a painful cycle to get stuck in without someone else to help pull you out of it.
Changing my diet helped a ton, but I couldn't fix my diet until after therapy helped me deal with enough issues that I could use my brain power for meal planning instead of my anxiety disorder taking all of it to worry about every single thing in my life. Exercise is helping now, but I had to fix my sleeping habits before I had the energy to exercise. Fixing my sleeping habits required me to, again, get my anxiety in order so I could actually sleep at night. Some of it was learning how to not spiral into a fear filled mess, some of it was as simple as "play some music while you're sleeping so you don't hear every sound in the house and worry about what it means".
Exercise, sleep, and a good diet do help, but it doesn't undo 10 years of living with a violet person who pulled a knife on your mom and tried to throw her down the stairs.
Just as it really can't do much if you have a chronic illness that limits your ability to exercise, or there's a health issue that limits your diet. (For example, celiac, lactose intolerance, GERD, etc.).

But we knew she went out at night and killed people and then filled a jar with something from them.
