Absolutely right btw, Endeavor knows the house is a traumatising place for pretty much all his family, and he himself is traumatising for his wife, so his move to give them a new home and remove himself from the picture was a very self-aware decision on his part. Apart from the fact that he's being targeted now, and therefore it's unsafe for his family anyway.
So basically, Endeavor thought that Natsuo would feel like he can’t talk back to endeavor if he saved him, like a “ah, he saved me at that time, so I can’t say anything bad to him anymore or else I would be a bad person who complains to his savior.” The subs worded it kinda weirdly, but the gist of it is that Endeavor doesn’t want Natsuo to feel like he owes him anything, if Natsuo decides to speak to him again, he wants it to be because Natsuo desires. Same with everyone else in the family, he wants to atone without making them feel like they have to forgive him.
Yeah, bad nights and trauma aside, this was pretty cool I guess. I’m a little curious if Ending is that dude’s actual name though. On the subject of Endeavor though, not much has changed for me unfortunately. Like, after everything he's done and how long it's been, it'll probably take a lifetime's worth of atonement before I start to look at him any differently.
Endeavor was afraid that if he saved Natsu, Natsu definitely wouldn't forgive him because he was saved by someone he hates. It's hard for Natsu to reconcile atoning endeavor with the terrible father he grew up with and it makes him feel like a bad person for holding on to his hatred/anger when he has that right (but should process his trauma at least)
I’ll admit, it’s kinda broken logic in retrospect. “I won’t save your life because I don’t want you to feel obligated to forgive me.” “I guess I’ll just die then.” 😅
I cannot stress enough how much I love these Todoroki episodes. The writing is so good and accurate to this type of situation that it's honestly helped me process my own feelings toward my abusive father. Top tier writing
Fun fact about Bakugo and his voice actor - throughout the series he’s been shown to be very proficient with cooking and food (like the forest training arc with the Wild Wild Pussycats) and him talking about the food the last episodes is because his voice actor is in an anime called Food Wars! if you know you know!
The funny thing about this arc and Endeavor and Hawks is that they just spend a lot of it constantly thinking about each other, so much so that you can hear "my heart will go on" play in the background

Buying that house was probably the greatest thing Endeavor’s done in terms of family. There’s not much to compare it to but whatever. 😅
