I did that with an antique stain glass window that had been removed during a reno in my grandparents house many many years ago. It was stored in the basement with things piled on top. Needless to say it had been broken into many pieces and warped. I placed a call out on FB marketplace looking for an artist with knowledge to restore it. I received a reply from a restorer who teaches a class in restoration of old stain glass. The rest is history!!

Rene, you are so special for letting others help the lady with the clean out to get things she don’t want. I am sure the lady will be relieved to have the help.
I would have found a way to take it all. NOTHING would stand in the way of making it a total clean out. U-Haul. Storage. Friends garage. My garage! My house! Where ever it would fit! Of course most people aren’t insane like me. I love your videos...especially the introduction....so peaceful. Thank you for sharing these wonderful finds. My grandmother was quite an historian. She kept everything in chronological order all the way back to her early lineage. I was fortunate enough to be able to get my hands on her ‘diary’ filled with dance cards, pressed flowers, etc. Ribbons from dance parties and napkins from teas she attended. Your videos have awakened a renewed interest in paper and photos from the past. I just love the way you present it all. Thank you! ❤️
Thank you! The older diaries that people kept years ago are a treasure as they offer such wonderful insight into the past, from simple things like who attended a party to keep all of the dance invitations. With the technology that we have today and everything being online, I'm not so sure that we will have similar diaries in 30-40 years, unfortunately.
Omg! I was having a heart attack watching you hesitate on that old frame and painting and pulling out the other pieces. Please do not take those items to the flea market. I love flea markets but we love them because people bring great items that are worth good money and are willing to sell them for cheap because they do not want them or think they are not worth much. A flea market is one step up from a yard sale. Please take your time, handle them as if very valuable and research these before you put them out for sale. EBay or Etsy may be the better place to sell them although packing the fragile pieces will have to be well done. You have the eye for the old treasures. I would find a storage locker or partner with someone who has a work area to store and prep items for sale. Good luck! I enjoy your videos.
I'm so glad you took that painting and the FRAME!! The frame was very old too! I would have hung it in my house.. :) But as the video progresses you are passing up some good stuff :( cant you hear me LOL
At 4:11 you took the Copco and the small Le Creuset but left the largest Le Creuset that was on the bottom! I was yelling at you through the screen tonight! 😂
Hello there, I am a artist and I paint some landscape with acrylic, when I saw that beautiful painting I became so sad, you can easily fix that painting by giving it a layer of resin front and back and it will be perfect. :) love the channel.
My goodness, one could almost set up an antique store with all that person's discards. Renee, you keep going with what you like and don't worry about all of us. We would just love to be able to do this kind of looking. Great video.
💟Yes, all we can do is our best to save lovely & worthy things from being destroyed & discarded in landfills. If you don't have the means to rescue all curbside finds (or partner w/another to do so), think about drafting a quick Craigslist post w/📸 on "free" estate stuff to alert others in neighborhood. ♻️ It gives divers & DIYers a chance to pick sometimes valuable &/or practical loot waiting for trash hauling. 😭Shame to see someone's legacy going to waste.🗑
Meriden SP goblets (silverplate) , I would have taken her number down and told her whatever you plan on disposing next week(s) that I will help you get it to the curb (1st picking too) Good Score what you found!
@Lawrence yep leave number offer help. I was at an estate sale a month ago and after three days they still had ungodly amounts of varied stuff ! So i offered help and my number with family. No call but always worth asking.
I do too I was thinking to myself God I hope she doesn't leave those behind. They were beautiful and very rare and expensive. And all of it was in good condition I didn't see any chips on anything. Just the painting was in poor condition.
Great score!! That pink little cup with the dragon on it is called Drangonware it's very collectable right now. LOVE LOVE those pottery plates. Oh! and that other asian tea cup, hold it up to the light to see if there is a lady's face on the bottom. Those are worth money too. Great video. Take care.
Very sad that whoever owned these things had left them behind and very sad that whoever bought that house didn’t appreciate the quality and value of those things that had been left.
not sure she didn't appreciate the things.. I know many people who just can't handle clutter of any kind. the research she would have had to do to figure out all the value is a daunting task.
I totally agree. I can't believe that woman throwing it out couldn't see the value of what she had. And like this woman here said she can just imagine what went to the Goodwill if this was trash. They're all in great condition no chips.
Great items!!!!!!!! I am so happy when you make good finds. You deserve every possible treasure you ever come across as you are truly appreciative of worthy pieces. Worthiness is often not measured in dollars. Your understanding of that will take you far in future endeavors. I’ll be watching your channel and cheering you on. ❤️

I enjoyed seeing you enjoy the great trash picks you came across in your travels. This was a great vid. I watched the entire length. As they say...one person's trash is another one's treasure. You found terrific treasures.
It's always an adrenaline rush to find GOOD estate style trash on the road like this. Awesome score for you! The green goblets though...they may have been uranium glass, you may want to get a keychain black light to carry with you, much of it is worth a good deal and it is often overlooked at flea markets too.
Hey Renee - Amazing haul today!!!! I'm sorry that you didn't inspect the silverware chest. It might have had something in it and, if not, silver chests are popular at flea markets. Not a juicer but an apple slicer. And, the Nippon bowl would have been from before 1921. Hope you find more like this!!
What great finds! There were some really nice pieces of glassware, and I'm glad you took that painting. The frame looks like one I saw appraised for about $500 (although I know you are not in it for the money). Thanks for making the great videos!
@@eringomez-watters7881 I have one of those boxes, it's a beauty, patina is perfect, and I lined it inside with beautiful beaded style upholstery cloth, and gorgeous cloth/ribbon, worth the job, so beautiful, it's right here, & On top, a collectible Navajo Weaver/large; they make a pair.
You say you dont have a way to store things. You might look into renting a small storage unit. You could put some shelves in and organize more things that way. The smaller units are not to expensive.
get some of those forty five gallon trash bins, put them on her porch... fill them up with the non breakables/in bags, keep the breakables under her bed in boxes, there is always room, if one is clever. I keep all my pottery collection in my old kitchen cupboards, not too many but could make more room if necessary...lol I have my limited Limoges collection in two giant dog food containers under my antique kitchen table, I had them in my art studio but brought them in to keep them safer, so they would never get broken, are packed away in dog food containers, it's funny...
The 4 oval orange gratin bowls are probably from 'Le Creuset' and sell at a high price. Brand new ones are around $40 each but vintage ones could sell for more. Meriden Co made silver plated objects.
That gate leg drop leaf table at the beginning of this video would sell for big money where I live. The dishes were very high end. Since the other kitchen ware was high end, those oriental pieces may actually be worth some money ONLINE. The tile was KILLER!!
Anytime you see a mountain in oriental-style works, it is usually Mt. Fuji, and thus Japanese. That dark wood to blackish wood is usually teak. If it is glossy then it is usually lacquered enamel. They can run from $15 to $35, but more depending on age, detail, etc.
Rene the painting can be saved. Have someone look to see if worth restoration especially since it is so old and has had restoration done on it before. Beautiful painting. Check with Crazy Lamp Lady to ask opinion. Jocelyn is a UA-camr too. She thrifts and does resale ( also Metal Detectorist) I am almost sure she would love that painting!! As an artist I can tell who ever did it had good skills.♥️
I am currently in touch with an auction house up in the New England area, as they have sold this artist’s painting prior. Just waiting to hear back from them!
Hi, the first thing I would do when I came home, is go online and check out the artist of the painting. You love research so much, I'm sure you looked it up by now. Let us know what you find out. The frame was old and beautiful as well. Tfs
@paper and moose, would love to hear updates on the Benjamin Champney painting and some of your great finds .... you could do videos on what you found out , what you did, and what sold!!! Just started watching you and am catching up. Enjoying for sure!
Beautiful enameled cast iron copco pan. They're from Denmark. You could easily get 35 to $60 for that. :-) I have one it keeps casserole is really warm because of the cast-iron it's great hey, kind of like a dutch oven but for baking or casseroles. Great finds today can't believe they threw that stuff away especially the painting was that nice frame hopefully it doesn't have too much mold or damage in the wood, and that great cast iron enameled wear. The Jug from France is also very nice and the other Potter you picked up. Great taste I love watching you. Take care.
P&M such great finds today. 3:33 the plastic cups (red, green & yellow) were vintage stackable space age mugs produced by Heller and designed by Massimo Vignelli. Very collectable. The stoneware plates you scored are the bomb. Thanks for the video.
Ugh.... I just took a look at the mugs on eBay... never would have guessed! You have a great eye & I’m assuming have come across these before to know. I think that Taco Stacks may have taken that box actually, when he went to the house after I told him about it. Hopefully he did pick them up! Have you sold Heller before or just have picked up that knowledge along the way?
@@PaperandMoose I am not a reseller. I just admire beautiful design regardless of era and have a decent visual memory. I have always admired the stackable Hellerware dinner set. When I saw them flash by in your video I thought "hmmm, I know those." One of the reasons the design is very sought after right now is it suits tiny space living. That is the reason I took note of them in the 70s when they first came on the scene. I was living in impossibly small San Francisco apartments and those sets were beautiful and saved some serious real estate in the kitchen. I believe Heller, a US company, reissues them from time to time as demand dictates. Of course I would suggest folks buy vintage as encouraging the production of new plastic items is...well...just not for the dream. Hopefully Taco Stacks was able to rescue them from the box and re-Stack 'em for resale. Happy trails to you.
@@shelley6746 yep he is man, Rene is a Woman and the "her" in the sentence referred to the woman/owner of the house! Who told Rene her husband wanted all of the contents REMOVED! (antiques and I'm sure so many FANTASTIC things!)
Coasters are Japanese lacquerware. Do not sell those enamelled cast iron pans at the flea market unless you're in a highend market.. They are vintage gratin pans probably made by descoware or le creuset. LeCreuset (French company) bought Descoware Company (Belgian company) and that is how the flame color came into their line. Very high end cookware and still in business. There are some other companies and any french enamelled cast iron sells if in good condition. They sell well on eBay and I sell it frequently. If the enamel interior is in good shape you should get 60 to 80 dollars for all 4. Flame is their best selling vintage color. Sell them together as that will get you more money. Lecreuset and Copco are good sellers as it goes well with midcentury modern which is hot right now. 10 at the flea market at least 20 on ebay. I love selling vintage cookware. Great finds. I wish I was there!
Thanks so much for the info! Copco is the brand of the yellow pan, you know you’re stuff! I wouldn’t even think of selling these at the flea market for as you said, I would probably be asked if I could sell the set for $10... nope 🙂 Packing and shipping would be easy, lots of bubble wrap & a flat rate priority box!
Bless your heart girl, sometimes you can’t win no matter what! Keep up sharing because you are amazing and I truly pray that somehow, someway you get to start being able to do this full time. Being a vendor myself I understand the limited storage space. I love watching your channel.
Just when you have pretty much given up on trash picking ... you find all these neat items!!! Once bitten by the "trash picker" bug. It will come back and bite you at the strangest times!! GREAT PICKING!
Oh you found some great stuff! Have you filled the space under your bed yet? The orange dishes, the painting, the brown pitcher! Everything! So glad you picked the painting. The frame looks antique and is gorgeous! I hope you can go back again. Love this video! Mist would make good $ on ebay. Thanks so much.
I love that you took the painting because you felt bad about leaving it. And that’s a very nice frame. You did good rescuing at of nice stuff from the trash.
Hello, I enjoyed your video. I always do. It does breaks my heart she threw all those beautiful things in the trash. I hope Taco Stacks can help her. And if not him someone can rescue the beautiful things. Good luck at the flea market.
Seen 1 coasters storage thing sellingh for $13 and the Capco what casserole type dishes I seen was selling for $50. Bavarian fruit bowl selling from $44 & up. The copper pot will take more research the prices range from low to high. The orange serving dishes look on Vinterior I seen one that kind of looked like those is selling for $55 for 1. The tall fruit like bowl with like a lattice design selling for about $30 not an exact design but close to it, it shows Schumann Bavarian . Ebay has a pair of the goblets Meriden Britannia Silver Antique 1898 # 313 on it selling for $47. Etsy had quite a few tea cups with dragons on them priced from $6.94 & up did not see an exact one but if there are markings you can put in might be able to find one.
The frame is worth good money!. The old label is affixed to the frame itself so the frame can be aged by the label. I say don't let your feeling bad keep you from asking! WE have a good friend who goes up and knocks on doors if he sees a car that looks like its not moved in awhile to see if they'd be interested in selling. Lots of people say no. Some say maybe and he might/might not get them interested and many people say yes. Just asking, that's all you're doing. It won't hurt anybody if they say no.
When you first pulled the items out that were silver with the handles and shaped like eggs was that they were egg poachers. Not sure but that's what struck me. Nice haul, I love when you find such great stuff!
What treasures! I love them all! Maybe if you watch for a few days there will be more you can pick from. Bronze is a dark brownish red, copper is a lighter reddish color and brass is a yellowish color. The strainer/colander appears to be copper with brass legs. It’s beautiful!
Nippon!! Pre WW2 piece. Not as valuable as before but still quite wonderful. Omg what did they throw out?? Go there every day and pick. You can live with a few boxes until post holidays. I still store items in my trunk. Paper goods etc. but still.
Sorry but I am catching up with your videos! Love all the oriental pieces! The box @ 18:11 Is Japanese as Mt. Fuji is in the background! Love all the porcelain you picked! LOVE YOUR TREASURE FINDS!! Also I am so glad you grabbed the picture! The frame alone it worth money! Cheers from Costa Rica!!😁😁
My first time watching your video, UA-cam recommended, I’m so glad you rescued what you did and it’s so sad the owner was so clueless what was in the house she bought. Thanks so much for sharing your “trash day”
Wow, I can't believe they threw all that away! As you, rightly, said, what did they give to charity if they saw this a trash. I feel sad too, but grateful there are people like you picking it up and saving what you can. Great finds for sure. I would be keeping an eye on that house's trash for sure as I think there will be a lot more to come by the looks of things. Thank you so much for sharing x

I found you through suggested videos. First your videos are very informative. I have a fairly new you tube channel so I’m definitely doing my research. Thanks for all your help. Please keep it up! Just subbed!
Rent a truck. Rent a storage unit. Rent a space at the flea market. Put stuff on Etsy or eBay or Facebook Marketplace. Rent a booth at a vintage or antique mall. Make a real business of it. This is a leg-up into the industry.
I’ve done the antique mall once & the rent cost was so high, it just wasn’t worth it. I do sell at the flea market & online. Some items do well at the flea market & others people won’t even bother looking at, it varies from time to time. Everything goes in collecting cycles... one minute people are going crazy over mason jars & the next, nope!
Taco Stacks would have been all over those boxes, especially all the copper. Geeze louise. (unquote) Stockli used to be a GOOD name. Meriden goblets, made after the merger with International Silver so post-1900. The Quail bowl is Chinese or Japanese. The lacquer box is Japanese, post-WWII if not by much is my guess. Nippon = Japan , so marked between 1890 and 1920. The Bavarian compote is the way it came from the factory; that bolt assembly is the OLD way of doing things. Limoges is a region, not a manufacturer. The "juicer" is an apple slicer. I think the egg things are for poaching eggs. I'm no expert in porcelains; I just know enough to get into trouble.

Dang it Renee, you find better stuff in trash than I do at the store. Great video.
You're not kidding! Her finds are fantastic! I'm so envious bit happy for Renee since she's so appreciative
Thank you
Such a good idea....maybe you could email her directly. I knew it could be restored, just not sure how!
@@shoshonnaissachar5927 has to be done by a pro/oil painter of landscapes, can't describe it here, has to be shown, in person. Teachable skill.
This is where you should have called Taco stack you two could have teamed up on this
My goodness, one could almost set up an antique store with all that person's discards. Renee, you keep going with what you like and don't worry about all of us. We would just love to be able to do this kind of looking. Great video.
Thanks Delores 🙂
I looked meridan up on Etsy, I'm sure you could get $100 or more for them
@Lawrence yep leave number offer help. I was at an estate sale a month ago and after three days they still had ungodly amounts of varied stuff ! So i offered help and my number with family. No call but always worth asking.
I loved those green glass goblets.
made me the saddest when those were left behind.
I do too I was thinking to myself God I hope she doesn't leave those behind. They were beautiful and very rare and expensive. And all of it was in good condition I didn't see any chips on anything. Just the painting was in poor condition.
@@maureenfitzgerald1895 me too
good idea when thus shopping, to wear a coat or outfits with lots of pockets...
@@andreastultz1998 yeah she rescued a fine old Americana painting from the dump... fixable.
It’s not always that people don’t appreciate the value but they just couldn’t take everything with them
Great items!!!!!!!! I am so happy when you make good finds. You deserve every possible treasure you ever come across as you are truly appreciative of worthy pieces. Worthiness is often not measured in dollars. Your understanding of that will take you far in future endeavors. I’ll be watching your channel and cheering you on. ❤️
Thank you Karla for the kind words! Glad that you enjoy the channel and thank you for watching!
Renee, what great finds !!! You've got a great eye and a BEAUTIFUL vibe. Taco and you would do great together if you pooled your resources. YOU ROCK !!! ♥️🙏🏼🔆✌🏼♥️
Stupid question I am sure...how do you tell something is uranium glass with a blacklight?
I collect antiques and you passed up so many that were worth quite a lot.
Amen
Yeah I seen that too.
heh... noticed.
Thank you for the video, is fun to watch your appreciation of the things you find. Have a great week
the painting is Benjamin Champney worth up to 10k go to invaluable.com lots of his art there.
I’m yelling GRAB THE FRAME!
Can’t believe you didn’t look in that wooden silverware box
Neither can I
Or grabbed the nippon...
Me too !!
Urgh!!!
What great finds! There were some really nice pieces of glassware, and I'm glad you took that painting. The frame looks like one I saw appraised for about $500 (although I know you are not in it for the money). Thanks for making the great videos!
I believe the wooden box you left was a silver wear storage. It may have had silver forks, spoons and knives in it..
Faith Gantt She lifted that box pretty easy with one hand. She would of known when she picked it up if there was silverware in there.
Yea, someone on Pinterest is trying to sell one for $68.00.
I thought of that brand when I saw them, but I’m not familiar enough to say for sure
That gate leg drop leaf table at the beginning of this video would sell for big money where I live. The dishes were very high end. Since the other kitchen ware was high end, those oriental pieces may actually be worth some money ONLINE. The tile was KILLER!!
The yellow Copco enamel baking dish sells from $38 to $69 at various online sites.
at 2:24 I want those kitchen chairs!!!!!!!! That antique walnut frame is wonderful, I hope someone got to enjoy it
I think the the copper bowl with handles was paired with the 3 footed base you did not bring with you. But I may be wrong.
So glad you grabbed the painting, I'm an artist and could fix it so easily. Good Job!
Anytime you see a mountain in oriental-style works, it is usually Mt. Fuji, and thus Japanese. That dark wood to blackish wood is usually teak. If it is glossy then it is usually lacquered enamel. They can run from $15 to $35, but more depending on age, detail, etc.
Ernest More that what i was gonna say that alot was Japanese I am half Japanese with French name lol
Paper and Moose that is great. I hate seeing something that nice thrown away because of damage. You are the best!!!
You HAVE to go back, with or without Taco Stacks. I’m sure the lady will remember you.
HAVE TO !
Yes! Go go go...START THE CAR! lol
What r Taco Stacks? Never heard that saying?
@@imamixednut Taco Stacks is another decent UA-camr that trash picks and gets items for scraping and to sell at the flea market.
@@NeboAllen Decent? Taco Stacks is awesome, absolutely the BEST! ;-)
Take care.
Here in TX we call it "curb crawling" 🎃 Love your channel.
In Florida, we all it sidewalk shopping. :-D
I'm so glad you took that old painting it's the frame I love good going
You found a lot of nice items. I wish I could come across all that stuff in the trash.
OMG, I'd take a day off of work and make Taco stack take you in the van to help her and yourself to remove it all. TS needs stuff to sell too!
Ask nicely, he may need some inventory
Taco Stack is a man!
@@shelley6746 yep he is man, Rene is a Woman and the "her" in the sentence referred to the woman/owner of the house! Who told Rene her husband wanted all of the contents REMOVED! (antiques and I'm sure so many FANTASTIC things!)
I love Taco Stacks.
I’m glad you took the picture. 😊
it is very valuable.
It's interesting the differing perspectives. The lady saw it all as trash/junk, but we see it as wonderful treasures. You found some beautiful items!
Get in touch with "crazy lamp lady", or Sueme. They know alot about the treasures you found. They go to Goodwill. And sell on eBay and Etsy.
That wooden case is for fine cutlery, many people sell those on eBay, they are expensive. 🙂Lots of vintage stuff, soooo nice
Bless your heart girl, sometimes you can’t win no matter what! Keep up sharing because you are amazing and I truly pray that somehow, someway you get to start being able to do this full time. Being a vendor myself I understand the limited storage space. I love watching your channel.
Glad that you enjoy the channel and thank you for watching!
One of my favorite PAM videos, looks like you had a great time!
What an awesome find... My town never has that kind of cool stuff on the curb!! Congrats
Another great trash picking day, so glad I could come along. Hang in there. Patty 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Just when you have pretty much given up on trash picking ... you find all these neat items!!! Once bitten by the "trash picker" bug. It will come back and bite you at the strangest times!! GREAT PICKING!
it's just fun... there is always something useful...
It's entirely likely that the previous owners have passed away and there was no one to properly look after their collections. :(
I was thinking the same thing. It just kills me. :(
First time watching one of your videos and I loved it. I love the stuff you find and love how you tell us all about it. Great stuff.
The painting can be repaired, look up how to do it and even if you make a mistake it will be so much better then it was and you saved it!
Did you check out the vaseline glass. It could or could not worth something! I love your blog and hauls.
@@carolbrunn7807 Vaseline glass is yellow. Green glass that glows is uranium glass.
Man did you score big!!❤️
Great finds. Sad story. I'm glad you took the picture, I think the scene was interesting, despite the tears. Great stuff! 👍
Glad you picked up the frame. That frame itself is worth money. Thanks for sharing
I’d have stacked it all in the living room if I had too.
Yes! They are egg poachers- I have a couple of them myself.
What treasures! I love them all! Maybe if you watch for a few days there will be more you can pick from.
Bronze is a dark brownish red, copper is a lighter reddish color and brass is a yellowish color. The strainer/colander appears to be copper with brass legs. It’s beautiful!
Well what they “didn’t take” is what was left.😂
Bobbie K I was thinking the same thing. You’re looking at what they didn’t take. Lol
Think you both
Thanks for looking through. I can’t go thrifting right now I thoroughly enjoyed❣️❣️❣️
I would have taken everything!
My first time watching your video, UA-cam recommended, I’m so glad you rescued what you did and it’s so sad the owner was so clueless what was in the house she bought. Thanks so much for sharing your “trash day”
Thanks for watching Mary!
Not a juicer, its an apple slicer!
Never mind picking through all that stuff. Take it all.
Seriously. If it's free take it and sort later.
Thats what I would do.
go back later before the trash hauler comes, to make sure nothing gets broken... or dumped.
I laughed when you mentioned Chester Copperpot. I watched the Goonies a hundred times with my kids. We can practically do our own rendition and know it by heart. haha. You found some great things!! I shudder at the thought of all of those treasure getting thrown in the dump. New sub. Glad I found you!! Thank you!
My grandma had those egg things. They are actually used to make boiled eggs so they don't crack as the water boils.
I looked in the comment just to find this! Thank you.💛 have a great day!
Thank you for taking that picture!! If it can’t be repaired the frame is great!!
What you are calling a "juicer" is actually an apple slicer/corer.
"Hey you guyyyyyys!!!!" 😁 Great stuff, I'm a fellow rescuer luv your videos👍
I am so excited for the things you picked up!
Great finds....real treasures...
Love the new intro!.wow you definitely got a lot of beautiful items. Would be interested in anything asian.
Tfs.
I found you through suggested videos. First your videos are very informative. I have a fairly new you tube channel so I’m definitely doing my research. Thanks for all your help. Please keep it up! Just subbed!
You missed the depression era Vaseline glasses! Those goblets were worth big bucks!!!
Vaseline glass is yellow. Green glass that glows is uranium glass.
Great info!
