Thank you for the quick tip. If a hard drive has already hit 0 capacity does the drive need formatted? I have made the changes you suggested but drive space is still showing full. Appreciate the help

Hello, I was looking for this for a long time. This helps a lot. But I have a question … if I have like 300+ days of recordings and I’m appling this setting for 30 days, is it going to delete everything I have untill the day I apply it, or is it going to delete only up to the number of days that I apply the setting ( in this case 30 days ) Thank you!
So it will overwrite after 30 days right? if the camera recorded for 30 days the upcoming record will replace with those days and it will repeat that everyday i mean it will keep 30 days back than today
Hi , yes if you set he expired time to 30 days, once 30 days is reached initially it will then keep 30 days’ worth of footage always providing the storage is there, 😊
My hdd is 100 % full. How can I restore some of free space ? How to delete entire month of footage if I want to ? Tnx ;)

my NVR is showing one month recording, how can i increase the days of recording. i mean if i need 2 month back recording what should i do? expire time value is 0. still i have one month recording.
Hi , then you need to fit an additional HDD or increase existing HDD size, the other option you can use Is lower the Frame rate and or Resolution of the cameras , and change to motion record instead of 24/7 record , presuming that’s what is being used.
thank you i got an issue with my nvr thou, even i have i have huge space it only record for 1 day! what can cause this and how can i solve the issue?
Hi, it could be a number of things , go into the HDD menu and check there all ok and normal or sleeping and check none say error or unknown, also check the advanced box for “overwrite” is ticked , then in record and parameters please go into more settings and check expired time doesn’t say 1 in there , should I say 0
Hello DVS. Thanks for this quick tutorial. I seem to have touched something while configuring my Hikvision NVR last week and suddenly I noticed that the font size is bigger and pixelated (with the edges of the text appearing like tiny stairs), to what used to be before fiddling with the settings. Now I don't know how to return back to the small fonts. Do you know how to fix this small problem? Thanks.

What does a Offline(Network Abnormal) mean ?
If you've set it for 14 days , where do you view the remote playback for other days ?
if you have set this to 14 days then you cannot recover the days past this sorry
@@DVSLTD oh no that I understand , But lats say Im on day 4 of the 14 days . How do I go back to view day 2 on the app ?
@@ryanhosiassohn7176 on the app when you click the playback icon at the top of the hik-connect app ( presuming its this) then you will see a calendar search function

hey i have smart tracking ptz cams if i need to link smart tracking with intrusion do i have to draw 4 separate areas for each preset or one area will work on all preset
It’s best to draw an intrusion zone per pre-set , but if the pre-sets are generic wide angle then the same intrusion area can be used , I hope this makes sense

Yes, but please remember that patrol is higher priority than smart track so it will override this eventually, sorry about this.
DVSLTD yes i understand it but i am facing this issue sometimes my cameras shows intrusion area on live screen and recording i don’t know how to stop it.
where is the intrusion zone shown on the web interface of the NVR?
