Those look great man! I've rewrapped a few different kits and its a similar process. I've never stained one because I didn't think it would look right. Cheaper wrapped kits don't have the right outer ply for staining. Typically they're blemished, but yours turned out great. I have a couple vintage Tama Rockstar DX kits. One I originally rewrapped in an orange/copper sparkle vinyl wrap then redid in a green sparkle vinyl wrap. My other I did in a textured gator skin vinyl wrap. Both look amazing. Next time try a vinyl wrap. You can get the vinyl in rolls and cut it down to your specific sizes. It comes in every color, style, and texture you can think of. Just cut it to size, spray tack it on, drill through all the screw holes, and put the hardware back on. Easy.
