  • This is the fifth ride in a series of rides we did on a cruise from Iceland to London. Amsterdam is one of the most cycling friendly cities in the world. They have a huge network of bike paths, including one that runs right alongside the cruise port. This doesn’t necessarily mean that riding in Amsterdam is easy, as the paths can get busy with commuters and locals who know what they are doing and where they are going. It's best to ride along, go with the flow and if you miss a turn you might find a cool new place on the way.
Our goal was to make it to the Heineken Brewery before all the tour buses arrived, then find the Brompton Store. We also stopped at some pubs along the way. This ride started with rain, but ended with sunshine on September 13th 2024.
This video is set up in a first person view format. So it's just like you're there riding along. Hop on your stationary bike, turn the volume down (or not), get some exercise, and enjoy the scenery. The average pace was @ 14 mph
