My god what a beautiful video you've created. This is honestly top notch and super entertaining. Amazing work, please keep it up!
@@TheRileyable ah man, thank you so much! I appreciate the kind words :)
First time on the channel, blown away by the production values - Montreal looks even better than in real life. I was at the Idles show too by the way 😎
@@YoungThos oh no way! What a great show eh, amazing band live! Thanks for the kind words! Cheers
good stuff- I ride these roads all the time and you nailed the "feel" good work
Thanks for the kind words! Riding the streets of MTL brings me so much joy.
We visited Montreal this summer and bought my wife a Coyote! Loved C&L, fave bike shop in Canada!
😮 I’m officially jealous of your wife! That bike was high on my wish list and after seeing them in real life I really want to get one! It’s such a great shop eh! Thanks for watching!
Probably Riding and your channel are the two favourite channel I'm watching frequently nowadays... it's very cool that you know Probably Riding as well. This video is really gold, making me want to visit Montreal soon... I really really enjoyed this one! thank you
Wow, thanks so much! That’s super kind of you to say! Probably Riding is one of our favourites channels as well, it makes us want to visit Korea and Japan!
Thanks for watching :)
I haven't had the chance to make the pilgrimage to C&L from the east coast yet, nice to see it's as cool as I imagined it.
@@mustacherides420 there’s actually two locations and this is just one of them (the bigger one I believe). It’s a really great shop for us steel bike fans 🤘or anyone really :)
Sick, I rode my tracklocross rig to my last Idles concert. Ripping through the city on two wheels to then dance to some of the best post punk that is currently on offer just feels right.
That sounds like a heavenly experience. Idles absolutely rips, we’re huge fans. Cheers 🤘
Insane video guys! Absolutely loved the production value as well as seeing my city from an outsiders perspective. You should try and come back on a weekend when C&L host a Coffee Outside for another video, not to mention I’d love to meet you and grab some photos of you and your bikes! Stay rad 🤙🏼
Thanks pal! Much appreciated! We definitely need to come back more, Montreal gets me so fired up! Would love to join a coffee outside sometime.
Looks like good times. Have wanted to visit and explore Montreal but always have driven around it at odd hours to avoid traffic while going across Canada.
But now I need ot stop, C&L Cycles, fresh proper bagels. mmmmm
@@paullydca it’s definitely tricky to avoid the construction going in and out! I often opt to go north and come in from Laval! But still I try to avoid certain hours too because traffic gets slammed. Thanks for checking out the video!
Just found you guys!!! This channel is awesome!!!
More of these Vlogs! Very nice to see bike nerds riding around this beautiful city. I appriecate all the filming and work editing, thanks for the trip guys! Keep it up! Cheers from Quebec city!
Love quebec! Going to be visitng from Halifax next summer! Mountain biking in Quebec City, exploring Montreal! Perfect
@@RILFYx ouu nice! We did a Quebec City MTB trip last year and have been itching to go back, so much fun. Doing both Quebec City and Montreal will be nice! I’m jealous!
Great video!
Very cool to see my city and the places i ride like this. Also you went on my street! ( one off of le club, that place is saweeeet)
Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words! Riding around the Plateau brings me so much joy ❤️. Your city is beautiful!
Could we get a little of that Montreal out here in the West? Gosh darn it's pretty. I need to go back soon and by bike that looked like so much fun. Take care buds!
@@MultigrainKevinOs you guys get all of the mountains, we get the poutine. It’s a fair trade I think! Lol
Thanks for watching!
I did a super similar trip recently.
Yours was better!
Thanks for the fun video as usual
🤘
@@bike.breath I drove from Ott to C & L Rachel to buy a frame and some parts, then headed up Mt Royal on my gravel bike, and then back into town for bagels!
No overnight stay for a show or more adventure though :( hahaha
@@alexrunning8763 hah! That’s amazing, very similar. It’s such a nice little ride up Mont Royal, that was actually my first time.
@@bike.breath Super gorgeous area to cruise around! I was outside Rachel and looking at the bike path wondering if it went up to the top, and yeah! More or less haha.
I love that it's such a short ride from a really densely packed and lively slice of town as well. I could have spent all day just exploring that neighbourhood alone. Alas, I had a bike to drive home and build haha.
I loved your recco for the Gnocchi place, I need to check that out. Also, I hope you snagged that Killers jersey! Super rad!
PS - If you see a dude on a gold Surly with drops and a black bar bag, or riding a fixed Bassi in green with orange accents and all silver Nitto parts, that's me! I'm out here trying to get the fall rides in before the big sad is upon us in the valley haha.
@@alexrunning8763 nice! I’ll definitely wave if I see you! Is it a basis Bloomfield by chance? There’s one in my neighborhood I often see.
I almost bought that jersey but that was the type of thrift shop that definitely knew what they had haha, it was really pricey.
What bike did you buy from C&L?
Love the video, guys! Which band did you see? And Miloooosh!
@@nino8344 hahaha! You’re the first to pick up on that Seinfeld Easter egg! I couldn’t help myself lol
We went to see Idles. Pretty wild UK punk rock band (I think that’s the best way to describe them?).
Great channel! I'll be subscribing.
😄
@@bike.breath I have to ask. What mount are you using to shoot the POV shots?
Great video! Love C&L but haven't had the chance to visit in store, yet (from Toronto). Did you purchase the Large gloves?
@@Mr_Zzzeee for the record Dismount in Toronto is amazing and holds an equally big place in my heart! Great folks, great shop.
I got the gloves and some blue lug and hitch bicycle club accessories.
Thanks for checking out the video!
you really did get in all the best spots on your tour. next time take a $7 train ride up to st jerome from downtown and you'll have access to Le Petit Train du Nord, which is 200km of bike path all the way up to Mont Laurier. if you want to go just half way, 91KM, you'll end up in Mont Tremblant which is a beautiful ski resort town. and if you don't want to take the train to st jerome there is actually a bike bath all the way from the city. was it NOFX you guys came to see?
@@jakesgreatesthits wow, thanks for the insight! We’ll definitely be back and will keep that in mind. Funny- I did really want to see that NOFX show! But no, we went to see Idles at MTelus. It was amazing!
Obviously gonna need to know which band you went to see.
@lanceflare is right! We saw Idles. Honestly their live show takes them to the next level, really fun and intense 🤘
I was hoping for a Proablyriding shoutout when I saw Hitch
@@teaghengosse3079 Probably Riding is one of my fav channels! I had to buy a hitch reflector when I saw one :)
@@bike.breath patiently waiting for the hats to come back in stock! Still haven’t checked Korea off my biking list.
What brand is your helmet? My helmet is bulky compared to yours
It’s a Kask Mojito! Funny you say that- I bought this one because my previous one felt too bulky too.
Top two cities in Canada and it's not two.
Bikes, bagels, and IDLES? Can't go wrong!
A magical trio if I do say so myself! ❤️❤️❤️
