a reporter asked Tommy on a interview: "Why do you do so many concerts?"(300/year). Tommy said: "I'm trying to become good on this" hahaha (sorry bad english, it's not my language)
I think what makes this song for me is Tommy and Emil's random bouts of singing along and exclamations. It's fantastic seeing that they love playing it as much as we love listening to it!
Tommy is so generous. Here he is bringing another phenomenal guitarist to the forefront and showing him off. Note how he completely drops out when he says for Emil to take the solo. He immediately recognizes that Emil is still comping chords, so he completely stops playing so that viewers are certain that all the notes are coming from Emil.
Wow, I watched this video a couple of year ago and was impressed. Saw it again today and was blown away. I love Tommy, but Emil Ernebro is really fantastic. Just incredible skills, rhythm, sense of time, technique ... simply great! Lucky Sweden, I hope you support this musician! I have always want to thank Tommy for bringing us, through UA-cam, so many great guitarists from around the world, who we may have never seen.
Someone else posted in another video that we are living in a great time. When I first moved to the LA area I was almost broke, looking for gigs and used to see Joe Pass with Herb Ellis in a club in the valley. This video reminds me of those days. I would nurse a glass of wine for four hours just to hear those two giants of jazz. Now I just go to UA-cam.
Tommy is the MAN!!!!In my eyes he is right up there with the best if not the best!!!I've learned a lot from him and still learning.I've been playing since I was 3 years old and am now 38 so I've done quit a lot of playing in my lifetime>This man made me rethink my playing style. He can play any genre at any time with the necessary flair and more which I think makes him the best. From the guitar guy from Cape Town,South Africa.Keep it up Tommy. You are AWESOME!!!!!
The, "One Man Band," does equally as well as a duo....gee....no surprise. After hearing this I may set my entire collection on fire and seek solace in binge watching James Bond movies........

that has to be the best rendition of this song I've ever heard. Two truly great musicians
If you only listen to one type of music or style you miss out on whats is out there also this song has been covered by many musicians and each one bring a different flavor, The Vocal version I liked was used in the movie V for Vendetta sung by Julie London. Only Trolls and people who has no talent would thumbs down this vid even if you don't listen to this style you have to give credit to the skill of the artist who has been around for a long time.
What I like most about Tommy's playing is the inherent swing he puts in his arrangements. The cadence keeps it fun while he also displays his mind-blowing virtuosic techniques.
There really are some talented people in this world. And I'm not just referring to people who play instruments when I say that either. Fly Me To The Moon will always be my #1 favorite song.
My god Tommy 2 of you!!!! Are you going to take over the world? I'm pissed Tommy I missed you in Maui oh well great upload you guys sound unbelievable just phenomenal can't put it into words have a great day thanks.
Loved it, cool playing. The first part brought out the wistful magical side of this lovely song, then the swing with hint of syncopation . Beautiful, thanks .
Hi Rapthorne54! It was written by Bart Howard in the early 50s and recorded by many artists such as Johnny Mathis, Nanct Wilson, Peggy Lee, Nat King Cole, Count Basie feat. Frank Sinatra, Astrud Gilberto (the one I heard first), Doris Day, Willie Nelson, Westlife, Marvin Gaye, Rod Stewart, Diana Krall...and Tommy Emmanuel of course :-)
LOVE-LY. and as for the comment below..i dont know. But when i watched this i just saw two super expert guitarists buzzing off each other and enjoying themselves doing what they loved. for me the chemistry was perfect. And what a wonderful tune too. Isobel x
Thats is Emil Erebro, a swedish guitarist from Darlana, he often play with a girl named Zandra Mårtensson since gymnasiet with is the swedish ''version'' of high school. They studied at MI in LA.
"let's see if i can get through this" -yeah, good one Tommy.

THIS is the reason I have a been a happy, but slightly frustrated, total guitar addict for over 50 years. Thank you, gentlemen!
cg plott:
I sooo get the frustration fellow six-string lover. Lol
Can we just appreciate how good the harmonic intro was
Some of the most foot tapping worthy rhythm playing by Emil there! Awesome stuff, great feeling.
I think the foot tapping is part of the charm and style of Emil Ernebro.
❤❤❤ I was on a deep dive over this song and got this beautiful unexpected gift. Thank you Tommy Emmanuel.
Me too!

Jerry Reedish - Ray Charlesish :P
Yes, and that's goooood ! I love how they managed to connect the worlds of Jazz and Blues, which are certainly not separated by very clear borders
it's pretty common that jazz musicians do that, not that special, still sounds cool though
I love it. What a fantastic version of this song! Thank you so much sharing your music.
You two are amazing. More of this please
The, "One Man Band," does equally as well as a duo....gee....no surprise. After hearing this I may set my entire collection on fire and seek solace in binge watching James Bond movies........

@rickyanthony 😂
Besides the phenomenal guitar playing, I just love how Tommy is so humble and encouraging to other artists, like Emil Ernebro here.

In Tommy’s mind when he starts singing: “Oh yeah, let’s sing. No, wait: I’m a guitarist”
S a m u Guitarists sing along with the music always, whether they vocalize it or not.
Yes, I know. It was just to make someone smile.
S a m u 😀

Total inspiration for a wannabe like me. Thanks guys.
That worked very well. No showing off, and nice interplay. Why do people who dislike even bother to vote?
Because they are jealous.
